Need help choosing a bike.

First time caller, so kinda scattered brained with all the different models lol. This will be my first modern MTB as I want to really get into MTBing. I’m not sure if I should go new/used, and hardtail, or full suspension bike. I have a budget of about $1300.

I was thinking the gen 3 Marlins at first but realized with the on going sale, I could get the better Roscoe (7 or 8) at literally the same price of a new Marlin 8.

There’s two possible used 7’s, one at $900, and the other at $1000 that would fit me, doesn’t say which year they are though. One older used 8 Large at $1100. And then two used 8’s at $1000, and $1200. XL frames though so I wouldn’t probably fit them.

Only been able to find one new Miami green 7 large online that’s honoring the sale price ($1399.99).🙃 As for the three possible used full suspension bikes they are a Fuel EX 8 21.5” at $600 (XL), a 2022 EX 7 (M/L though) for $1200, and a Remedy 8 for $1300.

As you can see a bunch of them are all near the same price point, hence me wanting some input on the best way to go. Sorry for the long post, I’m just the type who wants to get the most bang for my buck as these bikes aren’t cheap, let alone the upgrade parts (Fox front fork😉).
