In the mood for something different I changed the wheels on my winter bike and took a spin along some gravel tracks to the Coventry Canal to see if it’s a worthwhile change of scenery for Road Cyclists.
It’s actually an eye opener, not just because of the surface under your wheels but for the different things you come across and the places you discover even in your own home locality.

Those wider sections are called winding holes and are used to wind (turn a Narrowboat around).
