You can get bags to charge and keep batteries in and contain fires .
So where is the insurance and the council to step in.
Name and shame the company, or at least tell us which one it is so we the general public dont buy it
Dont buy battarys off ali express and charge them outside
E-bike/scooter need banned
And this is news that everyone needs to know about?
best advice,Any one buy second hand E Bikes,Best to store them in a place where fires do spread would be one thing better,If the fire breaks on,Got less chance of causing a massive fire
Poor cat😢
Should know better than to leave a bike on charge with no one in the house. I feel more sorry for the poor cat.
always play safe with batteries always buy from official sources for batteries I have two mobility scooters one of which has lithium batteries I only charge it when I am home and have a fire alarm set it above where the wheelchairs are stored and have fire door between my home and the shed where where the wheelchairs are stored to give us time to escape in the event of a fire
Some people being cheap and buying fake types
Never buy cheap batteries. Always source from a reputable manufacturer. Dont leave a charging battery unattended. These things react like mortar bombs under thermal runaway. But it is always important to do your research when purchasing because cheap batteries are always wrapped to look like the real thing..I both sympathise and despair with this guy. Personally i suggest folk look into how rechageable batteries work. Trust me, its an eye opener.
What mushroom has this guy been sleeping under? You do not leave Lipo batteries on charge unsupervised or charge them near anything inflammable.
Dont buy them as fire hazard, if you do make sure its from a know retailer, charge in kitchen with dooor shut, only during the day and unsure you have an part 6 interlinked detection so you get early warning.
There’s been so many apartments going up in flames bc of scooters. A freeway outside my city was shutdown for 3 days bc of battery fire. It gets up to 118 degrees where I live and I have seen half dozen Teslas on side of road on fire. Idk but seems like the environment could do better without battery vehicles.
Has this sort of thing happened with electric cars yet?
They get very hot very quickly.
A home paid by the tax payer
Notice how they set the narrative, buying batteries online, if only they bought them from a proper British shop with proper British batteries this would never happen. 😂
Its always the same. People never learn. Pay the correct price for dangerous goods. If a $1100 product is advertised for $300 by noname scammers, don't purchase it. It might be more expensive in the long run. I see it every day and people don't learn..
