    1. The only way is up, in 3 seasons 1st GT la Vuelta ( hardest of the 3 ) Road WC then TT WC. Now in a week double Olympic Champion… chapeau all before 25! Could take another double WC? Then a 2nd Vuelta … joder!

    2. Chapeau to Remco!

But he was not the first to win two gold for ITT and Road in one Olympics. The first was Leontien Zijlaard who completed a women's double at the 2000 Sydney Games.

    3. I'll be honest, I doubted him this season, especially after a less than impressive Dauphine. Yet he more than impressed at the Tour and displayed his quality this Olympics. Chapeau Remco – I hope you win more grand tours soon

    4. I was in Liege the year he broke from Tom Pidcock and won that race while celebrating on the way into town. This kid is special. Beast of a Classics rider.

    5. Remco doesn’t have a great team like UAE or Visma behind him, giving him a bad hand in the grand tours, but I bet he could dominate the classics. Most exciting racer on the scene by far. He single-handedly made last year’s Vuelta interesting.

    6. I checked the CBC tv listings, and didn't see that they were covering the men's RR. They're covering the women's RR. That was a shocking omission, if they really didn't cover it.
