The large and close-knit Watsworth family had more than 50 members, including relatives of different degrees who all lived in the same community. Ashley had an older sister, Haey. The girl loved an active lifestyle, sponge rode, and fuhchi. She also played tennis and loved to play the clarinet. Ashley was characterized by a cheerful, sociable, and energetic nature.
