The fact that Pieterse had to wait for a wheel change for me shows an immature aspect of the sport. Why should she be dependent on the speed of the wheel change? Why not allow spare bikes? I can sort of understand it in the marathon but this is just dumb and makes a comeback after a flat tire or similar bad luck almost impossible considering the duration of the competition. My favourite is still cyclocross.
