In this video, you will join me along an exciting eurovelo 8 bikepacking trip as…

I woke up at 5am in Monaco, after a night of stealth camping in a public toilet. It wasn’t the best sleep, as every time I moved, the motion sensor lit up the space. Before leaving, I ate some panettone and waited for the sunrise.

Finally, I arrived in Nice and stopped at the “Love Nice” sign to enjoy the view over the beach. It was there I saw, for the first time, a boat cleaning the beach with a water gun. Many local joggers ran up to the sign, took a selfie, and ran off. It seemed like a daily ritual, though I couldn’t see the point.

I continued along the Nice beach and paused to watch an excavator create an artificial canal, a seemingly exhausting task. The beach itself was all pebbles, but the water was clean and blue. Before leaving Nice for Cannes, I explored a local park on a hill for a better view.

The Velo 8 route passed by Nice airport, where I checked for a power socket but found none. So, I stopped at a local supermarket to catch up on some work and recharge my power bank. Later, I stopped at Burger King for lunch to compare its size and price with the one in Italy.

    1. Been watching this for a while and i amazed on how unprepared this guy is, not having basic brompton skills to change a flat and tune the bike. On the flip side goes to show how sturdy the bike is. Anyhow well done for the trip and hope it gets easier.
