Yes, the legal doping of today is called nutrition, whatever they are using it thought to be legal, but they optimize for every rider, for every stage the right amount. Visma is very open about that fact, they even claim that they are leading in this field. Last year UAE got this wrong and lost big time. Anyhow, Jonas should be proud, what a fighter! Next year TDF, if Tadej is in this form, and Jonas is back to the 2023 form, what a show. Remco will also improve:)

I love cycling. I love following TdF and have done so for 25 years. During the Armstrong years, everyone knew something was wrong, but it was hard to prove. The pure riders fought to win a stage but had to see themselves overtaken before the finish line. Now history repeats itself. It just must not take so many more years before Pogacar is revealed because it is devastating for the sport. This was my last stage in TdF as I think Pogacar ruins the race just like Armstrong.

33 years in cycling and this guy is the greatest ever. It's the way he wins in whatever race he decides to do that makes him so special. The bravery, the panache, we are blessed to witness such amazing riding, and long may it continue. Slovenia, I'd start making a monument to acknowledge an incredible ambassador for your country.

Yeah, Jonas will try to win the stage tomorrow and we all know Tadej won't let Jonas go. So, yeah, maybe the breakaway will get it, but my feeling is there'll be a battle to the last blood drop.

Anyone who mentions doping should also discuss how UAE had 4 strong riders shielding him the entire day until the very end of the stage. Matteo's effort was much more extreme riding in the break and up front the entire day.

Four category 1 climbs tomorrow with a mountain finish. I'd say 50/50 odds that Pogacar does in fact not let the breakaway go tomorrow. He probably believes it himself. For now. I'd like to at least see Carapez keep the polka dot jersey, so if Tadej does in fact decide to take the stage, at least Carapez has a shot at the first three KOM points.
