I was mountain biking the Welschtobel, one of my favorite trails. The Welchtobel is a remote, wild and stunningly beautiful mountain valley in the Swiss alps. The ride has to be hard earned however since reaching the starting point (The mountain pass “Furcletta”) requires considerable effort.

I had the privilege to ride this amazing trail in the evening sun, and really enjoyed the special atmosphere the light created.

As far as mountain biking goes, the trail is mostly covered in loose gravel and stones, making for a slippery ride

what a view i love stuff like this i love it wow that was brutal today i ride the velstropul one of my favorite trails it runs through a remote wild and beautiful mountain valley the ride has to be earned however there are over 1500 meters of elevation to be gained in order to get to the start of the trail [Music] it is steep it is hot and done really exhausted already and i’ve just done about half of the climb okay it’s gonna be a tough one [Music] still going up and i’m i’m providing awesome fine art absolutely [Applause] i can see the path it’s right up there almost there wow what a beautiful valley [Music] i’m really really exhausted so much much harder than i expected [Music] it was hard it took me more than four hours to get up here there is no easy way to reach this point no car access and no chair lift the only way to get here is through several hours of effort this makes the descent ahead of me all that more rewarding [Music] here we go [Applause] it’s loose [Applause] [Applause] wow nice color on these rocks [Applause] a couple of years ago at this very place i had a magical moment blown away by the view i took pictures of myself lifting my bike over my head this picture is still one of my favorites today today with the evening sun illuminating the mountains it is just as special [Music] [Applause] what a view this is so fantastic the view it is it is amazing [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] i love stuff like this i love it [Applause] i love the trail but i also absolutely love this valley it’s so amazing look at it [Applause] so this trip it always gets me it always makes me feel unbelievably alive such a beautiful valley such a cool trick [Applause] oh my shin uh wow that was brutal i think i’m all right that’s dangerous trailer yeah i’m all right there’s some roses here on my shin i hope the bike’s alright i think i was lucky i really think i was lucky i’m going to go i’m going to go slower don’t want to crash again not too slow this tree it’s just too amazing it really makes you go bonkers [Applause] it’s hard but i’m going a bit slower now i don’t want to crash again [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] every time i’m in this valium i’m just blown away by the by the beauty of it it’s such a beautiful valley isn’t it amazing [Applause] there’s just no way you cannot feel ecstatic when you’re on this trail in this valley a trail is nice [Applause] the view is breathtaking [Applause] [Applause] hahaha oh really and show you straight [Applause] the sun isn’t amazing that’s so beautiful [Music] i’ve ridden down this valley back there such an amazing trail such an amazing tour so beautiful

    3. Wow! Amazing video, hope you were alright! Viva La Grisha! I love Graubunden! Next year I will be back! Unfortunately, this year's finances did not allow for it. It reminds me a bit of the upper part of Val Mora.
