Daily Video Challenge 4/31. Independence Day.  UK Elections And E-bikes

good morning good morning everyone welcome to back to Madness Manor welcome to Vlog number four welcome to the 4th of July first I’d like to wish all you guys in America a very happy Independence Day here in the UK it’s general election day so we’re all going to the polls well probably about half of the country will bother to go to the polls and uh we will choose what color our political party is going to be uh well that means with regards political change probably not a lot uh historically my years of being a voting age and voting and being at the mercy of whoever’s power um it’s it’s pretty much now same same same unfortunately um but I’m going to take you to the Poes on the bike it’s hell of a windy day hope it’s a better day for you guys in America and we will know what’s happening in this country politically at about 3:00 tomorrow morning morning when the count starts coming in um I’m sure we will find out how good the Great British press were at doing their job and uh I’m sure in about 48 Hours time as somebody’s trying to formulate a government they’re going to S thinking now uh just how many lies Did we tell and how many lies can we get away with only my opinion I’ve not had a lot of experience in uh politics other than I’ve spent the last 50 years watching it all in dismay so we’ll bring it back later in the day in the meantime feas your eyes on that well I’ve made it my local polling station and I’ll pop in and cast my vote more importantly I’m on the uh hashley Pronto electric love this bike absolutely brilliant bike carries everything I need on me shopping and uh loads of stuff it certainly uh exceeded expectations when I converted it I’m actually going to do a video I might do it tomorrow on um on this because well we’ll do a video tomorrow I won’t tell you about it now I’m going to pop in and cash me vote when I’ve casted my vot we’ll probably have a little to around the local park before we go home and uh let me go and sign my name well put a cross on the voting form it’s pretty much the same thing Pasley to the polls well that’s me making a difference to the world it’ll be interesting to see what influence it’ll be interesting to see how the Great British press influence things this time they tried to influence it backfired a few years ago um watch used to stay up and watch it you know on TV and uh one year the BBC were showing the live coverage of the count there’s a bit of a poar for the Great British press because i’ been beating the drum for uh what was good and bad and indifferent in their opinion and uh wrong ones won anyway back to the bike it’s all a bit of a handful single-handed and I’m in the busy Park there’s loads of people about I’m trying not to get them on film pass the school haven’t got the school in shot here’s our local park looks like the Woodman hi there looks like the Woodman are working over in the distance there working on the trees this is B Hill Park quite nice subject to a lot of community debate a few years ago uh Prime bit of buildy land in the best part of town and uh they can’t build on it few years ago we had people trying to fill the pockets with the money is to do and uh I they try to pill the pockets with money so they could build on this anyway it got handed over to the council I believe it now belongs to the council they got it for a nominal fee and uh long may it say within the community the group that look after it done loads of work we got bees we got an orchard it’s going to become a destination park I’m going to have to stop here I’ve had to stop because as cool as as cool as my bike is it’s uh what it is I’m going to tell you something now eite laws this has got a hand throttle on it so I press that and the way it goes that’s legal because it’s built before the European legislation that’s about ebikes and hand throttles and or twist and go they refer it to in the legislation so that’s legal because it was built before those dates but anybody is considering buying one of these electric bikes and this hand throttle business becomes a very emotive subject you’re doing 14 M hour now 14 point it becomes a very emotive subject in the world of bicycles all you have to do don’t need un throttle you ghost pedal and what ghost pedaling is you pedal you just pedal slowly and what will happen is the bike will Propel you at whatever speed you set it at so on level five if you put on to level 9ine we do a bit of ghost pedaling here we go you can see how quickly I’m turning with pedals that’s called ghost pedaling and it and it propels itself off obviously on level 9 it propels it off to maximum speed anyway I’ve done my election I’ve done my poll we’re out on the bike I’m going to go and do some stuff at home I’m going to make another video tomorrow this is video four of uh my daily Vlogs uh yesterday Su Bridge it’s fantastic place you know Su bridge and long Sutton I think I think as a venue as a place to live long Sutton probably offers more than Su bridge but I do love it down there I like kings L you know I like it down there anyway the sailing of the ship was cancelled so no bridge opening it’s going to be passing through long s bridge on Friday high tide which is about 7 700 p.m. probably won’t go for that I’ll probably wait until there’s two ships scheduled to pass through the scheduled to pass through the uh the bridge and then there’s a chance I’ll get one of them I might Camp down for the weekend as well and have a bike ride whilst we’re here though public park this is the public park or one of the Mansville public parks where somebody got prosecuted for picking daffodil right or wrong six-year-old child well we have a cherry tree we have cherry trees they get ready although the insects have really given them a good hammering already look at these can see where they been H so that’s cherry tree so I’ll be out to pick those um if the uh Warden catches me it’ll be fine worth paying couple of show trees along here Jerry trees normally get them in bled with actually so there’s today’s ramblings from a mad man and I’ll catch you tomorrow on tomorrow’s Vlog are you going to do a vlog yet
