TT days are notoriously boring for media collection purposes. Join RaceTV as we navigate a day where at points we had, “nothing,” “something,” and finally, “maybe enough for an episode.” Psyched about Ben and Stefan’s rides, though!

what’s the most aerodynamic animal fish it’s a paragen falcon obvious it it is aerodynamic not hydrodynamic I mean well are we are we looking at total Reynolds number or are we looking at just aerodynamics I think just CDA Factor yeah but the CDA with a total reyolds number meaning under it could be Ocean or it could be air I mean what what uh I think Falcon is the fastest yeah yeah if it’s if it’s only air I’m with neelson if if we are using a total Reynolds number with drag I’m going to go with a wahoo a wahoo fish if it’s total Reynolds number you drop a fish out of a PL compared to a [Music] f TT day to the frost much more complex than a normal day Different Bikes obvious L Recons uh getting back to the start area in the end of the day once everything kicks off it’s a normal day pre that uh it’s much more fuss uh and actually nothing really happens uh than any other you seen a waho like Wahoo go like 12 20K an hour underwater yeah it’s insane like when they hit you like I’ve gone fishing for when they hit your line like they actually run out of energy really fast but when they first hit they take out like 100 met of line in like 3 seconds it’s just like like so so what if you dropped one out of a plane if terminal velocity is higher if they’re the same really more are you serious like you know that for a fact what what animal do you want to be today shock an [Music] eagle elante elante welcome welcome EF education easy post viewers we’re here next to a nice roaring fire in the countryside of burgundy burgundy for those of you who aren’t familiar is one of the finest wine growing regions in the world um made famous by its ability to produce uh the best pinoa grapes in the world the famous French saying is that that wine and grapes must suffer in order to taste great and so um it’s like bike riders they have to suffer in order to perform at the highest [Music] level sag sag [Music] durbridge wouldn’t be on top for long though because Stefan biger was on a flyer B and steal B and steal go go go yeah Rich we had two riders that were really trying for the time Tri today um with Stephan biger and Ben Healey uh Stefan very fast in the flat sections of the race but essentially this was a two hilly of a parkour for him going through the beautiful vineyards of burgundy um Ben showed some great potential for actually riding GC in a grand tour in the future in his career um by the time trial he did today Baseline tests looking error we’re measuring the CDM power from the the drag um I’m trying to decrease that as much as possible yeah so you start off with a baseline position of yeah my current position and we’re just making small adjustments or tweaking things just to to try and yeah e out extra one or two Watts here or there U the equation for the drag is is um 0.5 time the air density times the CDA times the the wind speed cubed good yeah I mean uh when I first set off I just full gas you know and see see how long I can hold on to the line and uh yeah went pretty quick to start faded a bit in the second half but all good hard the pain in my legs today but uh yeah normal Pace take a a good uh Good Feeling for for tomorrow yeah it’s like uh like in Portugal Doo is more or less similar but is very maybe it’s a very good wine supposedly I try maybe this night no after the tour Alberto who do you want to win maybe Spain Brothers of country Spain for sure this is a serious question now huh for Germany of course NE you have an opinion I don’t have any skin in this game won against Italy after 32 years swi they after 32 years they try their drive for two years they try but they win most important you’re you’re ear as good as your last game [Music] [Music]

    1. Ben: "drop a fish out of a plane and compare to Falcon" hahaha – BUT here's what really 100% happened to me the other day – an Osprey carrying a fish it had caught was being attacked by an Eagle in the sky above me as I cycled along – next thing to happen was Osprey dropped fish to escape attack AND the fish lands on the road right behind me yikes 🙂 🙂

    2. Question for the Team: Why do the riders not shave before the TT stages? Does the visor make that unnecessary? (It could potentially save some watts according to the latest wind tunnel testing)

    3. I'm starting my day with breakfast, a cup of coffee and watching your videos, which are very enjoyable. Maybe you should try a bottle of Gevrey Chambertin Caves des Moines, which is said to have been Emperor Napoleon's favourite wine.

    4. Still remember lining up at Boulevard road race in California in 2003 and seeing JV there still sporting the Credit Agricole kit. "Well, maybe I should just go home now…." Great to see him running one of the greatest teams in the WT.
