The seam where my rims joim is visible on the outside. Looks like they put a sticker there to hide it. Should I be worried? VELOCITY Cliffhanger rims. Both are like that.
Looks fine, the joining seam is typically visible unless they go through the hassle of making it “invisible” (e.g. on the H+Son rims)

It’s ok if you Ride calmly

I would trust Velocity’s rim joints. Not totally pretty, but totally solid.

The Velocity Cliffhanger is a pinned seam rim, not a welded seam, so it will be visible. It should not have any relative movement between the two ends at the joint, though, so if you notice any movement or change in the seam when building, I would recommend not using that rim.

Directly opposite the valve hole, right?
Totally normal for a pinned/sleeved rim. My VO Voyager rims look similar and are stout as hell, I’ve never had a moment of trouble with them. If you don’t like it, buy a welded rim next time.
If you’re running tubeless make SURE that the rim tape is edge-to-edge, fully underneath the bead of the tire. The sealant should only be touching the tape and the tire – if the rim joint is exposed inside the tire rather than fully taped over, the sealant can and will leak through it.
