Hi! We are An and Jeff Scott, two happily retired 70 year old seniors from the USA, who sold most of our stuff, and with our bossy little Yorkie, Bella, moved to the sunny south of France, to enjoy our “golden years” and the joie de vivre available to us, in beautiful Nice, France.
Moving from the USA to a foreign country was no small “project”. Through our videos, we’ve been taking you through the Long Stay Visa process, the packing, the purging, the moving, searching for an apartment, creating a great Dossier, learning the way things are done administratively in France, and sharing the steps, talking about what we’ve learned and the ups and the downs.
And now, we continue to share our life, our new life, here in Nice, getting settled, adjusting to the “French” way of doing things, dealing with the French “red tape” and all the while, making every wonderful day in Nice, the best day ever…

so this morning Bella woke me up at like 5:40 in the morning and so we went out for our daily walk and as we went for our walk we noticed that there were lots and lots of people on bicycles everybody was out riding their bicycle this morning because there was a bike race that started at 700 so Bella and I went down to the prominade deang glaze and we stood there at the W starting line and waited for all of the preparation work and then it was a closed course for the bicycles they did a couple loops around uh Nate n and it was very interesting to see there were motorcycle guard police and they sort of cut the town in half you couldn’t get back and forth until after the race was over I watch you as you drive do you know I’m looking and I can’t help but smile do you know how much I love you you put my favorite song on I put my feet up and we just sing along and I can’t help but feeling just loving this moment can we stay here forever I’m loving this moment can we stay here together if I could stop the time don’t you know that I would cuz I’m just loving this moment so nce is getting all prepped for the tour to France to show up here and they’re having some preliminary races here in town for bicyclists there’s a big display like a tour to front Village downtown with all the bike suppliers and parts and stuff so check out what I shot this morning see what you [Music] like for [Music] people spee [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] come fore spee [Music] [Music] [Music] enough [Music] [Music] now [Music] go [Music] you [Music] if I had to guess I would say there were probably about 800 bicycles in the race this morning and they did a couple of laps on the race course so everybody had to sort of watch them go by and then you couldn’t really get across the race course so it took a while for the whole race to work out but it was quite a thing to watch and see this morning [Music] [Music]
