Shimano sora. My derailleur pulley is touching the gear when in lowest gear.
This should be fixed by adjusting b-screw right?
But in my bike it doesnt have any effect on seemingly anything. The pulley just sits where ever i leave it.
Do i have something assembled the wrong way or what is going on here?
(Note bike is upside down)

1. the b-screw increases the tension of a spring. spring tension that can easily be overcome when moving the derailleur by hand or even having the bike upside-down. the effect of adjusting the b screw will sometimes only show itself when NOT touching the derailleur and only after shifting a couple of times
2. it could also be that the chain is too long
3. your shift cable is clamped incorrectly. it should be clamped below the silver plate.
did you recently take this of and reinstall it? i believe its not correctly sitting on the hanger, not giving enough tension. There a little stop on the deraillur thats suppose to sit on the hanger stopping it from moving freely like that.
