To me it looks like you are in the small cog in front, that is cross chain and it wears out the cogs and the chain faster + its ineffice.

Have you tried to fully disengage the derailleur cable? Just have the limit screw do the work?

Did you check of there was any spacers behind the cassette that shouldn’t be there or that if there is supposed to be one that its the correct width?

How’s it shifting? Looks like your hanger might be tweaked. Also troubleshooting while pedaling backwards is like saying a computer is turning off funny.

Nothing wrong with that. It’s only meant to be pedalled forward. This little catch you see is one of the ramps that helps the chain catch and move to the lower cog when the derailleur pulls the chain over.
