    Ep.21: I Kept Cycling to the East, was it the Right Choice? | NORTH MACEDONIA series: Ep.4 | JFtR



    I felt I didn’t absorb enough about this culture, so I kept cycling toward the East. What was it like cycling in this part of North Macedonia? And even more, was the journey fulfilled?

    In September, I cycled North Macedonia from Skopje toward the West and then the Southeast.
    Cycling for two weeks, 470 km, 5.000m+ elevation (yes, it was physically tough!)

      Glad you had good time in my country and that you were welcomed with hospitality except that idiot tour guide in Skopje and his offensive comments.

      Cycling through the western region is no joke with all the mountains and narrow roads with vehicles constantly passing you. I wouldn't have the guts to do it honestly, commendable achievement.

      Also those old roads next to the new highway are great for cycling, barely any car in sight hahaha.

      Good luck on your journey and if you ever come back to Macedonia you can maybe visit the eastern region which is also great 😀
