INTIMIDATED by YOUTHS on my first bike ride: Carsington Water CAMC Site

We visited Carsington Water Caravan and Motorhone Club Site on a beautiful sunny day. Today was the first time we used our bike rack for a leisurely stroll around the lake. It didn’t quite go as expected.

[Music] hi and hello we’re a little bit nervous today because making our way to Casting some water in Derby but I’ve got a bike what will we do if it comes off you squeak it yeah it’s why a lot to think about [Music] he [Applause] [Music] welcome to carington carington water and and caring Last Stand that side we’re at carington Water motor home and Caravan site this Caravan and motor home Club hi no we’re at carsington Water Caravan and motor home Club site in darbishire and it’s peaceful and beautiful Sunday morning so people are leaving yeah little information room here so there a bit too much info for me I got overwhelmed by it all I’m on the wiser you got any facts one thing I do know is that we’re right on border between staffire and arire did you know that no and there there’s some water that kind of splits it up that’s where I learned from that water splits it up does it I don’t know if that does I don’t know I got overwhelmed so the dog walk here is fantastic it goes all the around way around that’s a massive Bon of contention in forums people turn up early and then they get refused entry they’re not happy about it right have you read about that no I’ve not read about that but one thing I will say is we turned up at a campsite in Scotland early he was an independent and they let us in we’re about 2 hours early yeah it’s bit strictor here though tell you what though yeah it’s nice entrance that a’t it beautiful yeah this is the dog walk look at them wheels that sh van it’s beautiful yeah okay dog Walk This Way and does this lead is actually down to the water I saw somebody doing it yesterday so I’m taking a little bit of a punt let’s go for it we’re going this way you sure it’s not up there yeah we came down last night for Sunset didn’t we yeah and it was gorgeous it was we had a good night last night we had a lovely night had a sunset walk yeah we had a sunset walk we had something nice to eat and also we watched the boxing we did well one of us did [Applause] what you mean you watched it cuzz I fell asleep W look at this CLA there’s a big bit of water up there it’s lovely and blue you mean carington water that’s what I mean whoa don’t fall CLA don’t like walking on the road who likes walking on the road I don’t I don’t think many people do do they so this is good cuz look you look I mean I’m even walking backwards now doing a pro gimbal shot yeah that’s pretty impressive you’re backwards walking I could do with somebody just guiding me yeah to the right to the right so if if anybody wants to come and Inter turn for us help us film well we can’t pay cuz we don’t really ow earn that much just be nice I didn’t bang me head watch out for them what are they they’re not Nettles I’ve noticed that when the dogs bump into Nettles it doesn’t seem to hurt them it’s almost like they’ve got fur I know they or some protective barrier I’ve got like hair on my head but if it was to sting my head I think it’d sting my head any vets out there can explain to us at this point you come away from the main road and back into peace and quiet it is nice to get away from main road so I know something about here yeah it’s 8 miles around ooh oosh and the guy in the uh campsite said it’s about a 4our walk all the way around we’re not doing that today are we 8 miles it’s a long way around yeah um we’ve got a puppy it’s just we do it for you it’s just a puppy yeah we can’t sorry folks it’s just too much too much England in more time is as good as anywhere so the visitor center is 2.3 km quite windy the guy in the reception said to go anticlockwise okay cuz that’s that’s the quickest way to the cafe oh over that way then if you go anticlockwise yeah yeah looks like they’re having a sailing competition today CLA who’s got his Spiner out he’s what out his Spiner out goodness should I tell you what this is about yeah so it’s in memory of the men that died constructing the reservoir died yeah constructed people and actually it’s nearly the anniversary 23rd of may look how young they were in the 20s oh wow I wonder what happened people are still coming because uh it’s got Christmas stuff on it oh yeah oh dear dangerous work forgett I reckon you could walk quite comfortably to Paris in them know Hey listen I’ve got an interesting fact for you have you if you follow us you’ll know that we love a Madre which sounds like a Spanish beer doesn’t it we thought it were Madrid and we uh went to Barcelona and I asked a taxi driver where Madre were brooded and he had no idea didn’t know what I was talking about and it’s bothered me ever since so I did some digging and I found out that mad is actually brewed in the Spanish pound of Tad cter Yorkshire so then it’s a Yorkshire beer it’s a Yorkshire beer it makes a lot anyway if you come down we thought we might have to go on this road but there’s a path that goes all the way down so you don’t have to do that so anyway walk on this is is a fast road yeah busy road watch out for cyclist as well that’s my tip there we go a short little walk up here and then we’re at the [Music] pubo sniff it out guys can you smell the M you can see Signs of Life yeah civilization looks like I’ve finished my work out I’m sweating me back side off you can’t see it in them shorts oh wouldn’t that be awful if you could see your sweety ass in the show carington Village this way I can see it we got some umbrellas out and just maybe there’s some seats that’s us for afternoon I can see it I hope we can get a table I do I think I can see one right run straight for it then I’m going for it I’m going for it come on guys so I found the pub yes P of Cru camper in a caring glass although there is the mie thing some people are saying it’s Carling it’s just brewed by Carling in Tad cter there we go so this is it it’s beautiful got a big Garden realiz yeah nice little stop off you can look what sheep there’s quite a few pubs around this Lake apparently this Reservoir this is one of them the next KN down Gard there someone sign as well see them sting their Garden yeah but it takes a lot of work it looks very well looked after yeah think if we were retired though I would be like that you would digging oh yeah baby Cruz compo oh yeah don’t drink and drive kids walk and Thrive so R bab and custard I can taste the custard so and I can taste RAB so I think it’s quite it works quite a fitting name I like this little tour of retro Suites we did it in pit loer didn’t we we did where we had coconut mushrooms two out of 10 and two out of 10 and strawberry bon bons five what I’m using to commute to work on but I’ve got this little gobbins to put the camera on so we’re going to have a tour of the lake you don’t want to come there no it’s a shame really see all them
