Cycling 512 Miles through the Nevada Desert

Seven months since we set off from Alaska, we find ourselves in the dusty desert valleys of Northern Nevada. It’s a part of the country I’ve always wanted to properly explore and we definitely weren’t disappointed. Huge, expansive desert valleys extending as far as the eye can see, with nothing but a lonely dirt road cutting through right through the middle. I’m a bit desert obsessed and to me it felt a bit like bikepacking heaven!

In July 2022, we set off from the very top of Alaska on our bicycles, with the aim of spending the next few years cycling all the way down to the southern tip of Argentina – the entire length of the Americas. We are definitely not in any rush, and often opt to take the scenic, more remote routes where possible.
