That's unusual, must have been one of the 5% of correctly registered mopeds in London!
So, I hired a bike recently (a nice 750 Shadow, rekindled an old love tbh). Returning it, I worked out my route from home, well outside London, the hire place near Surrey Quays, & guess what?
Got there without once looking at or listening to the phone.
Old school methods work.

This week I've just started warning people that from July our local police are giving cyclists £10/conviction so they'd better get a dash mount before the deliveroo riders discover they can earn more money from texting drivers than food delivery.
It actually seems to be appreciated because it's a non confrontational warning rather than any explicit criticism of current behaviour.
If we can spread the rumour then every driver who hears it and believes it may put their phone down
He was probably seeing where to go to, to do the next drug deal.
One hand on the handle bars and phone in the other is a clear sign of a suicidal rider.

Yes get the scooters and motorbike drivers who often ride one handed while using the phone, very common just as much as car drivers

Scooters and motorbikes have no business at cycle advanced stop lines either, or beyond it, another offence.
Mopeds aren't allowed in the 'Bike Box', so both those riders have jumped the red light.

At least you have fairly good roads to travel on Mikey. Here in Mid Devon all we have is pot holes the surface in places is none existent. Drivers are claiming damages of the council. Another using his phone well spotted.
See so many learners in the cycle lanes, in the bike box and on the phone in hull. A good number have no helmet or rear number plate. Remember that kid who had his leg ripped off by an illegal motorcyclist a few years ago. Nothing has changed.

This one handed phone use on mopeds is getting worse, the dual brakes on a lot of newer mopeds makes the rider ever more likely to use a phone or mess with a sat nav etc. whilst moving as one lever operates both front and rear brakes.

You better come to Belgium ( w-vl ) because from this year if you got caught using you're cellphone while driving , automatic license gone for min. 10 days and a fine of 175 € 🤣😂👍👍👍

Nice one, we see so many like this now with the massive influx of people loosing the ability to go out and buy their own food and drink so now we have 10's or 1000's of scooter riders all riding around messing with the phone with your Pizza and Chicken in the hot box, personally from what i see from many delivery drivers/rider it can be unhygienic.
