oh man all right I finally got it vertical but like everybody’s gone come okay we’ll see all right so you live and learn guys you live and learn um let me go ahead and flip the phone around real quick [Music] so here’s the red line of Handover and that’s uh that’s where we’re starting um this I figured this would be a good way uh to kind of show you guys a little bit of the I wanted to start doing live videos uh and experiment a little bit with that and see what that’s like uh so here we are um this is the first live video well technically this is the fourth live video cuz I just did three vertically freaking out trying to get this thing to go horizontal because uh you can’t really see as well this way or that way you can’t really see as well ver ver vertically uh so all right Sharon that’s my Mom hi Mom uh perfect Cornelia Perez that’s Daisy’s mom okay so we got this thing we got the ball rolling a little bit so I can already see I’m going to need a a lot more steady phone I’m going to have to invest in an iPhone or something cuz this is this is too shaky okay so guys um if you want to chat it’s open we’re starting here’s number two what is that this big gun okay so this means that this is the rich part of town I guess all the boutiques hey Greg hola Sor Perez cool so here we are just walking the red line like I said this is um this is kind of an experiment I wanted to start doing live videos and I figured this was a first good live video we’re just going to walk through Handover and see what what [Music] happens what’s the weather like um the weather is it’s uh fresh we got um CH yeah chili we got hoodies on so little bit fresh um warm in the Sun but it’s not sunny today so yeah German weather yeah German weather and at this time of the year you never know what you’re going to get it’s a mixed bag so let’s turn the camera back around here so here we go we got the red line right here Lex Loki hello what’s going on I think that’s Alex what’s up buddy good to see you guys tuning in we’re at gim block might stop by there later they got some good burgers turn this back around we got the church in front of us just like in America you got to be careful of the taxis here because they will run you over just kidding they’re not as bad [Music] we got the courthouse coming up here I believe that’s the courthouse right oh the theater that’s a theater I’ve been I’ve been here and Handover this whole time and I thought that was a courthouse and it that’s a theater right there behind me okay so that that’s the theater right here which is right here right there oh the Opera okay I learn something new every day that is an opera people you guys want to go in a little bit or no no I’m I’m going to take the silence as a no okay we’ll keep going on the line a variety show theater Lex Loki Alex have you ever uh seen the the variety show theater or Lex I should say sorry should refrain from using real names here Mom that’s my mom yes you will be able to do a lot of shopping here when you come okay look at that okay okay Greg uh that’s a good question um the red line Greg wants to know what the red line is it is this right here it’s uh painted on the sidewalk of hover and uh it’s a little over 4 km long uh along this uh Red Line are Zan xantic kitan which which are points of interest that’s what that translates to um so we figured today it would be a good idea to basically walk walk along the red line um and it basically the purpose of it is it has points of interest to show you things here in Handover it’s a it’s a tourist thing basically and I’ve never done it before and I figured this week was a perfect week to do it um so yeah here we are uh and you know video every Friday we wanted to try live and there it is it’s our first live video let me go ahead and turn the camera oh and as I’m talking my face off here uh I may as well just go ahead and um I want to add a little note the quality of this live uh it’s the first and we didn’t know if it was something that we were going to do but I think we’re going to do do more uh because so far I’m having fun and you can actually use the GoPro right now I’m using the phone um but you can actually use the GoPro to do live I just didn’t figure out how to set it up yet uh so I’m going to go ahead and do that for the next one but like I said this was just experimental how do I see the comments I need to learn how to live stream this because the comments go away after a little bit and I can’t see what the people said so if if if there’s some things that I don’t answer it’s because they the comments go away a little bit and then I can’t I can’t see them after a while so sorry about that okay let me turn this back around okay the the line is a little over 4 km long I believe it’s 4.2 km long yeah so yeah 4.2 km long I don’t know how far we’ve gone not that far Daisy says that this brand is really uh well known and they make really good Jack jackets you said mhm jackets oh okay cool well I don’t have any of their jackets so this is not advertisement so don’t get that confused with anything oh yeah [Music] guys here’s the daisy loves this yes that’s so sweet uh what was the name of the brand it was no wait I’m not going to say it I’m not supposed to be marketing on here they don’t pay me for that and I I think I could get in trouble so I I’ll I’ll tell you later so anyways um we’re buying extra blat which is actually it’s kind of like a typical uh your commercial Cafe here in Germany um but I love this place it’s actually not that bad looks like there’s something going on up here let’s see what it is yeah that’s what I need that beats my selfie stick oh political [Music] stuff okay Greg Greg would like to do the red line on the first day so that’s what we’re going to do we’ll do [Music] that all in notes good call Karen Karen by the way question do you happen to still be working on the the radio because you still got that ear for music uh let’s see anyways I kind of wanted to get out of there uh because we were getting some looks from the bodyguards and stuff so me with this selfie stick and I’m not here to cause trouble I’m just here to walk through the city on this red line here here we go oh sorry Karen but you should probably uh I don’t know you you were you were really good uh for the radio thing have you ever thought of maybe doing a podcast okay I’m going to flip this back around here we go here’s the bank um we’re actually getting ready to come up on the uh what’s that called I can’t think of the name of it now I’m drawing a blank uh dies gab here then City Hall stat Hall Mark Mark N9 Mark holl nine uh so we’re getting ready to come up on what I think is a city hall and it’s like this giant building and if you didn’t know uh the elevator in this building it doesn’t go straight up uh Tom Scott the YouTuber actually made a video on it it was pretty interesting uh you can check that out but after you watch this video of course and uh to answer your question yes there are a lot of stuff uh there’s a lot of stuff to eat along the way a lot of places to stop almost around every corner and you’ll see that yeah so couple of our friends told us that apparently they uh redid this like today which we didn’t know they were doing that so it’s kind of perfect [Music] all right up until now um this is kind of uh a lot of bikers in the city yes there are a ton of bikers here it’s Europe so um people it seems like bike as much as they can until it’s too far away and then they take a car it’s kind of the normal here uh for the most part uh and of course just like in any city that you go to the concentration of bikes is more um a lot of rental bikes here a lot of rental scooters all over the place look at this view now I’m going to turn the camera around here and what you’re going to see is one of the the um points of interest on the red line and it’s a church that was uh destroyed in World War II and uh well enough talking Robert let’s just do this there it is we’re going to go ahead and go in there so you guys will be able to see that by the way uh by the way guys um right now would be a good time to go ahead and hit the like button uh if you have any friends who are interested in Germany or Europe or history or anything like that uh tell them to tune in uh share the live uh we’re trying to grow the channel of course uh yeah you know got to say all the typical stuff uh corelia Kil sorry okay just waiting on the uh waiting on the the green guy to tell us that we can walk across the street go go go go [Music] ah yep that’s [Music] right go across there and now we have to wait wait again hurry up and wait that’s the name of the game now for everyone who’s here uh if you if you have any questions or if you see anything that’s close to the red line and you want to see us go left or right let us know okay what time do most of the businesses close down every day uh that’s a mixed bag it depends on what kind of business you’re talking about um mostly the restaurants and clubs stay open later than anything of course uh your your grocery stores stay open anywhere between uh 11:00 at night and uh 8:00 in the afternoon depending on the day Sundays they’re closed did a whole video on that okay we’re going to go in here so I mean the size of this uh you can’t really capture this on the phone see now just uh in the past you were able to go in back behind there they have a memoral morial in there and uh the fence is there I guess you’re not allowed to go in there right now uh they’re probably keeping it closed for upkeep repairs or something like that probably uh making okay so I can see what’s happening here my my slow brain has just now realized that there is foliage on the floor and it looks like they’ve been cleaning it cleaning it off the side of the wall so it doesn’t destroy any more of the building uh so I imagine once that’s gone these fences will be away and you’ll be able to go back in there again but yeah this is uh a church that was uh we’re literally inside of a church that was bombed out in World War II and this is what remains so pretty shortly we’re going to leave here and we’re going to go back out onto the red line but I just wanted to show you guys this Gaz thank you [Music] okay all right you want to go this way or okay all right so here we go and then all right so yeah look at that crazy huh in less than 100 years that happened [Music] all right we’re actually very close to the out of borta of Handover which is uh where they they uh basically told me if I was allowed to stay here or not so this this area gives me some memories here let me get out of the road before uh I get hit by a car here can’t wait to walk the red line with you and Daisy we can’t wait either it’s going to be awesome and piano oh look at this this is exactly why I wanted to do this Handover is just loaded with cool little things if you just kind of keep your eyes open it’s I mean it’s a city you know cool cities always have these little cool art pieces all over the place they’re doing something there not sure what look at that and that is the rat house which is otherwise known as City Hall that big beautiful building oops I don’t yep Handover for you right right next to the uh man but hey he had a smile on his face he was having a good time so that’s bad I don’t know if he if he did that on purpose or cuz he saw the camera or [Laughter] still on the red [Music] line okay check check out this building I always thought that was cool too and here’s a little tip don’t wander into the bike paths right here they’ll run you over like I’m not kidding it’s easy to get clipped by bike here in Germany hurry up and wait hurry up and wait oh [Music] oh yeah he drank a lot of beer that’s for sure here we go there’s the city hall of Handover we came from there and the red line goes this way so here we [Music] go we got to stay on the line stay on the line [Music] [Music] almost got distracted in uh went in the wrong direction there Daisy we got to give special thanks to Daisy because she’s helping me stay focused on the journey and stay on the red line she’s the Navigator today so uh while I’m holding the phone um and talking to you guys and uh trying to make the phone as stable as possible which is I promise in the next live stream it’ll be a lot more stable we’re going to do it with the GoPro I’m going to figure that out just want to get another shot of this look at [Music] that yeah it’s kind of hard to see because of the lighting I think but we’re going to go right alongside of the building here human mhm yeah don’t pop at [Music] thisum okay okay so a little cool piece of information uh the architect who did uh this lion right here uh he also well this this lion as well but both of these lions and I think he did did he do the whole building okay so just the Lions there’s an architect who built these lion statues here and apparently uh is he Spanish I don’t know Spanish but he also so he’s also done a lot of work in Barcelona in Spain okay pla colog I don’t know where that is it’s it’s a famous place okay we’ll leave it at that so this guy does lion statues or just statues and and he’s really cool okay the more you know just random piece of info but hey why not a puppet I find this pretty cool as an American citizen I don’t see gigantic lamps every day and uh look at that those things are huge I don’t know why I’m so fascinated with that everybody every bottle helps so what is this all about yeah okay just just roaches I don’t know what that’s supposed to be but there it is get the architecture on [Music] that yeah Greg I’m not sure if you’re still watching but this building because of the Dome has a elevator that when it goes up the elevator has to go up the Dome sideways so if you if you want to go on that together um when when you visit we’ll go ahead and do that cuz I’ve always wanted to do that glass and the floor of the elevator is glass so that’s even more interesting let me go ahead and turn this back around Greg said yes cool all right it’s a done deal [Music] as an indicator in in inclinator yeah okay so salt from the new paint that they put on the that’s got to have something to do with the new paint this is one of the things that I love about the city here is just like these little green areas just kind of uh stuck in between of of uh like the buildings and stuff oh what is that that’s supposed to be a person yeah we got a face here so that’s called the big family okay looks like someone legs here here arms here head here huh very interesting what by Eugene D not gonna say that name today [Laughter] much respect [Music] sorry okay here we go here we to me as if we’re pretty much doing a circle around the church here is that about right yeah okay and uh we’re actually going to pass that church over there so [Laughter] so Daisy is currently asking her parents if they know what river that is that goes through Hanover I already know the answer to it no yeah okay yeah that’s right the I know that so you know that’s that’s I may as well tell the people who don’t know that that River back there that you just saw um that’s called the L and that is a river that basically goes all the way through Neer zon actually not just Handover all the way through Neer zon uh and it’s actually my idea uh to kind of take a boat down a portion of it uh a rental boat or whatever but I’m going to do it and that’s going to be a video so uh that’s going to be fun yeah [Music] [Music] yeah oh you so Mom just said she H we want you want to go with me on the Boating trip well I don’t know if you want to I don’t know we’ll see um I’m I’m trying to think of yeah it’s not going to be a normal boat um yeah it’s going to be a canoe uh but the thing is is is it’s adventure time with Robert so I don’t want to just uh go down uh the river and the canoe normally um it’s it’s going to be a YouTube video and I want to do it in a way that’s uh I don’t know I have to think of a way to put a spin on it and I don’t know exactly what that is yet um which is which is one thing that I’ve been trying to think about uh for most of the videos actually is uh the travel videos it’s cool to travel um but I want to I want to put a spin on them um I want to start getting into uh some paranormal locations and destinations here in Europe um haunted places and things haunted traveling uh you know uh Haunted Forest camping in a haunted forest just things like that I want to work that into the travel aspect of of everything but I also want to keep it um no canoe no no canoe sorry no can see I already knew you wouldn’t do it it’s okay we we’ll there’s a lot of stuff that we can do so yeah um Adventure Time with Robert is fairly new this Channel and uh I’ve been thinking about where to take it because you know it’s obviously it’s it’s somewhat of a travel Vlog but slowly we want to show people uh the the special things of Europe that you don’t normally see that’s what that’s why I like the the horseback shrimp fisherman uh the horseback shrimp fisherman video so much uh was because I mean you just don’t see that very often I didn’t even know that was a thing until uh we did that video uh so I’m trying to focus on more things like that instead of um just your typical castles and stuff which we’ll still do those as well but good but uh enough talking and uh the light is green it’s back to walking we just okay I got to explain something right here that’s ridiculous what we just I think we okay so to explain okay what we’re doing right now is we came from there we could have just crossed the street there but the red line has you crossing the street all the way around here because that’s a point that’s a point to stop at and see this building um which we just blazed past it because this light was green whatever Red Line yeah red line yeah red line and here we go here we go how many streets did we just cross yeah oh okay so yeah apparently somewhere around here there’s like a wave and Surfers surf on it let’s see if there’s someone here probably not but let’s let’s just check it out no this isn’t the place that’s not it yeah it’s so beautiful this is this is what I love I love this red all right guys soon you’re going to see some pretty crazy looking uh statues on this light post here when we get closer I don’t know if you can see that already and see if I can get to where the light is [Music] here we go do sorry about the shakiness guys I got the camera back under control and the red line is there again in here on the ground is a coffee mug because those are cafes I’m assuming yeah dance Daisy dance you know what this is here this the so that’s theat M so that’s basically the city wall that’s an old city wall from Old Town of hover that’s let me explain that a little bit better that’s the gate and then there used to be a wall attached to it and to get into Handover you had to go through here or at least this was one of the entry points Point listen I got to brush up on my Handover history Le I’m learning by doing that’s right okay so Daisy has just informed me that we are now entering the old section of hover let me go ahead and give me one second here okay here we go any bakeries yes there are bakeries all over the place um right here not sure wait wait so uh uh okay this way and then we’re going to go around the buildings I’m guessing there’s a bakery in here somewhere we’re going to come back around this way and see all that stuff it’s a little bit confusing at first nope we are not at Stein Tor if there’s a bakery I’ll see if I can get in there see normally the the bakeries are normally closed right now uh what time is it we started it so it’s it’s it’s like 700 p.m. here so I don’t think uh we’ll be able to get into like a traditional Bakery they have sandwich shops that are like semi bakeries that are open but I wouldn’t call those traditional bakeries so probably won’t actually be able to walk into a bakery on this live stream so this building right here this is the oldest building in all of Hanover uh during the second World War II Hanover was bombed out and this was one of the olden the only buildings that uh was left standing and there it is and that is point number 22 on the red line oldest building of Handover here we go is that a nope not a bakery that’s a little Pub come on should have yeah these are beautiful here this is just a beautiful area I mean I wouldn’t want to live in the city but but look at that so this is point number 23 and that’s the church here coming okay so up until now we’ve walked 3 and a half kilomet so we got almost a kilometer to go not that much further roses so these kind of little Corners these are the reasons uh how can I put it like these little Corners are one of the reasons why I fell in love with Europe not just Germany but Europe in general I love the architecture the Cobblestone roads I mean this is a city we’re in a city right now but it somehow manages to be pretty peaceful now given this is the old part of the city but still I mean this is i’ I’ve been living in Germany for like 5 years now mhm and I still find little Corners that I haven’t seen yet like this right here I’m just kind of left [Music] speechless oh yeah so yeah and I know uh where we are right now the Christmas Market is actually set up in here so cuz yeah I remember walking through here and they had all the stands here they had fire right here where they had salmon where they were smoking salmon uh TOS I’m vinox Mark guys if there’s anything that you want to see let us know that kid just that kid just fell that’s not cool but he’s okay that’s that’s like two people who fell down in this one live stream [Laughter] I don’t know what it is but people just keep falling down on this live stream not me like everybody left is is very very nice we’ll do gosler as well still on the red line here and the Dublin in think you still pass it actually know the Dublin and as an American living in Hanover uh that’s one of the places that I would visit uh even though I’m not Irish it made me feel a little bit more at home because we have uh Irish pubs in America yeah the Dublin in I actually um little fun fact I put in an application at the Dublin Inn uh before I got my other job here in Germany they did not accept me I I couldn’t I could not speak enough German at the time so that didn’t work out still drank beer I’d go in there and have one you know i’ crack open a uh I don’t know a Guinness or something but those days are over look at [Music] this that is Martin Lua Martin Luther ah or Martin Luther not not Martin Luther King that obviously quite obviously Robert you idiot no that’s Martin Lua was in 1483 to 1546 okay so what and what what information did you have on him mhm sorry uh D us the Evangel oh okay so he established the Evangel Evangelical Church I never knew how to say that sorry uh but yeah he he uh established the Evangelical Church that’s what Americans think can you elaborate on that what what do Americans think just kind of hold it like this for a minute in okay the size of this building is just I mean I mean I can’t really Des that’s gigantic got to go to look at that huh that’s crazy I don’t know why it’s just [Music] just give me yeah so we’re leaving the old part of the town here and we’re getting ready to go back into the new part of the Town s you just came back in and you lost us we were away from the old part of the town and like I just said we’re going back into the new part back towards the main train station sha bar [Music] oh live music we saw some people surfing in a canal uh we walked through the old part of uh Handover and some other stuff and right now I’m showing people TK Max the different version of TJ Maxx there it is TK Maxx I I don’t know why that blows my mind that’s supposed to be TJ Maxx but it’s not I was watching the Dory oh oh so that came from Duty J that comment sorry I got the viewers mixed up it’s my [Music] bad we’re almost finished [Music] guys oh by the way if you didn’t know I personally think that hover is the most beautiful of almost all the big cities in Germany yes I’ve lived in Berlin cologne potam dorf and Munich myself but nothing comes close to Handover I do love Handover and Handover you still have the feeling of being able to breathe yeah it’s true I mean I I said that earlier in the you with the food here in Germany is curry sauce Germans put curry sauce on a lot of different things and to be honest it’s really not that bad the way they do it so that’s one thing that always stuck people as this but it it’s always packed um as you can see we got a lot of shops here Banks there’s even a Five Guys right over [Music] there and if you look right down here there’s a whole extra layer of stores underneath of there and that leads all the way into that train station right there and that is goes under the ground under the train station as well with stores under the train station
