[Music] hey and welcome back now we are going to be taking on aend we’ll go there by train and then Bru will go there by car but do you remember this on way in there were some uh buses on Route so this time from reception we’re going to walk a little bit up the road there cuz a very far up to where that cyclist is turn right and there are the bus stops if you remember there’s only two but this time we catch the other one going into the station today we’re having a a little bit of a day out in aend um just to have a look at you don’t think they do everything by Bike by chance do so this is the actual station and uh yeah but actually this is the back end of it we actually came in the other end but uh we’re PL form 12 and she’s pointing to now number 12 we’re off oh bikes over there as well look BL well here we are pretty clean platform is it better than you paded yeah how much you reckon that was uh about 45 something so you convert that it’s about 20 quid each yeah but equivalent trip to London yeah for me to stand up all the way to Paddington from Swindon yeah is 120 quid yeah well it’s at least if you were going off peek it’s at least 40 to 60 quid not bad is it the anything is like other Trends there’s nowhere to sit if you’re waiting which I think is crap just there oh yeah come on now OB you got some building work and things going on yeah 1039 what how up to dat it [Music] ISS now a end itself is not actually that big as you can see by the train station marked on this map and so you’re not very far from anywhere but outside the train station there is this rather odd looking man made a straw they have the usual shops um we did stop for a bit of lunch in between the Fairly constant rain showers can you hear me all right we’re at Austin Beach it’s actually quite a nice Beach hold on to this Bradley it’s it’s actually got a nice prominade and stuff as well have say can you see behind me yeah they got the usual T shops well had have been a nice sunny day I bet this would be all right good to see that yeah we didn’t have lunch in this one but not much to report here I tell a lie it is famous for this what three masted sailing ship I think at that point we’ll just say goodbye to uh aend and before you know it we’re back on the train again and when we get back to again this fills you with enthusiasm waiting for the bus which is on Pauls by all accounts don’t slurp don’t slurp cuz that’s disgusting no it’s not yeah it’s really disgusting it drives me nuts so anyway here we are sweating now after a mini crisis a little mini crisis so best explain well um the fridge started beeping I thought what’s wrong with that so it turns out we have no power no went oh great so I went out to the ballad which is just on the other side of the Caravan over there and the neighbor was out neighbor that side of the trees and he said I apologize for that if you lost power as well my wife plugged the fryer in and knocked out the power of the whole site so I then had to wander off to reception and tell them that we’re on Pitch 45 we lost power and then they set a woman out that’s nothing wrong with that she was fine perfect fixed it all actually a lot of respect for them she’s speaking Dutch to one couple English to us two and then German to another guy and Spanish and Italian she said she does well staggering staggering there anyway anyway the long and short of it was she goes well all the powers back on again it must be your cable I went how can it be our cable the power it’s been we’ve been here for two days with no issues whatsoever and now the power’s got off said so it can’t be the cable I’d very much doubt that so she got another cable came unplugged that in said no still got no power she goes well that’s proves it then it’s definitely something inside your van I said no it doesn’t prove it at all said how do I know there’s any power coming out I’ll tell you what I do I go and get the multimeter out the back of my car oh look nothing so on either of the cables so it’s your unit big fuse box and then when she went to go and get that again so what is this a household a special motor own Caravan type fryer no it’s a normal household one well that’s the problem is it stop bringing stuff cuz when look when you go abroad we’re used to 16 amps at home you get 10 on most sites we are lucky on this one this Caravan has a limiter so once it gets to 10 you can set that it will then reduce the voltage on other items so therefore keeping you below TS obviously they didn’t do that so they plugged the fire in turned it on and then went pop for everything so it’s just a minor inconvenience they cost another hour they blamed it on the cable it wasn’t a cable it was their end be had to fix the fuses so anyway I’m back to having that coffee that I started having right at the beginning oh happy birthday to you thank you very much thank you I’m another year older and absolutely no wiser thank goodness interesting cuz the site is on the other side of those you can see some of the tops of some of the Caravans and things that are in there but when you come out the back of it obviously late there there’s a bigger Lake here and there’s a a lifeguard station just over there as well lifeguard station and an Adventure Playground got in the water wow this gu all way around see look the main Road’s there and then they got this nice walkway and then there’s a campsite you can just see in the back there there’s the uh lodges that you book as well do you think we’re overdressed for this now look and there’s our Caravan we just yeah look keep going eh you know it’s a big off sight this cuz we walk past I know empty3 pictures and then you got these like glamin pods and then you have like big sheds I suppose shepher HS I suppose shepher Huts yeah but it’s the site that just keeps giving it’s huge this we’re not done yet there’s a runner coming now they got quite a few of these stations around the place so I wonder what it is but I wondered what it is but these are keep fit so it depends on one of those through there if you’re a man and a woman and whether you’re green blue or red but either way T ladder it’s tar and Ladder yeah bit wet though yeah you want to stay up and no we’re not going to have a go you are you going to have a go just look at that look at that b table tenis the another one just there anyway I think we walked all the way around there’s that light Bo thing the life Guard Station again well here we are we at a parking ride oh we cuz we’re off the Rouge today but it’s not the park and ride like we would know cuz you know there f place to park but there are no bus stops here so I think you have to go across the road they’re going that way over there I see there’s a bus stop over there and one opposite that one on both sides of road down there so it’s the straight to one of them and typically it was the third bus stop which was the right one and then it took us into Central brouge and a bit like gent the outskirts of it’s pretty bland and dull and then you get into the old bit which is very cobbo and extremely beautiful with recognizable architecture you know those steep streets with of sides to the buildings loads of bikes cobbled streets plenty of shops to look at both local independent funny tat shops and regular and around everything is the river um it was raining for a lot of our stay so we just watched the boat going up and down wandered around looked at the architecture look at all those little side streaks which we really love and those quirky little things most people don’t even notice like that Alleyway and then as we went through the day oh yeah look at the chandelier and that was one of the billion chocolate shops by the way which is all over the place in Brugge and eventually we make our way to the main drag with loads of recognizable not so recognizable shops oh yeah must be a Brit in here and I may well have been tempted to buy a handbag yeah just what I need another handbag well this is some more interesting yeah so the main Square um with some very Grand buildings that really Gothic uh lead into that church bit ruined I have to say by fun fair in the middle but I’m sure it does good money and I think we’re still actually in the road but that’s even that’s hard to work out isn’t it what’s the road and what out of gent gent was pretty good this is better yeah aend was rubbish yeah that was all right but this you could easily spend a whole day out we about a third of the way around loads more to go yeah and then thankfully the sun came out so we decided it was our turn to actually get on a boat yeah do a sightseeing trip so we do we’re off um and there’s quite a few to choose from so we just leap on this one they certainly do pack you in like sardines but I have to say our captain was rather quite funny actually um this was about1 15 each and you’re probably on it for a good half an hour and you need to tip your driver oh yeah don’t forget about that and if you look at that yellow building in the window it’s famous for its slightly pinkish glass that’s glass from Morano in Venice now even the captains have to speak various different language and I think he was doing a bit German at the time mu going but there we go this bridge has actually got stall mites in it and that’s why they slightly tights are there the ones that point down with styling tights yes hanging from the roof so quite interesting [Music] you ready to go under the bridge look out for the head here we go EX [Music] I think it’s raining might have to put me up yeah the boat trip I have to say was really really good now on the way back I think what they do is this is probably a grade one listed facade so what they do is they keep the front and then demolish what’s behind it and you see this a lot in Belgium we really enjoyed our time in Bru definitely our favorite place but now it’s time to head back to the bus stop and then back to our car at the rather interestingly named wagle water it was fantastic wasn’t it what a name well kind of a good job but let four-wheel drive this car to take it off of that I mean look at it you get some bards as well by the uh water filling place with some boards look from a rainy soggy muddy Belgium please like subscribe and don’t forget to hit that little bell
