Just one week before I raced Ironman 70.3 Venice, this is what a week of training looked like, I have now raced and the video of that week will be coming out next weekend.

    Along with weekly videos as I document everything In the lead up to my first full distance triathlon at Challenge Roth at the start of July!

    I’m currently serving in the Royal Air Force based out In Cyprus which is an Ideal location for training and creating content, my goal Is to take a career break traveling around Europe In a van whilst trying to make all of this a full time job and just follow what I’m passionate about.

    let’s get it [Music] now Monday time for a SE swim D hello hello 360 it’s Monday we’ve had a SE swim currently 4:30 being at work just over two weeks out from Venice 7.3 here go how we doing mate can you hear me yes not too bad just finished the swim hello mate how that is a few calls done just spoke to Lad from Wales he signed up for his first 70.3 in Swansea so I going to be helping him and his mate train for IM 7.3 Swansea which should be exciting she the 7:35 alarm went off 5:50 for swimming I snoozed it and went straight back to bed fine we can go tonight um work now barely see can have a turbo trainer at lunch don’t even know if you can actually see me yeah people at work just found the podcast that’s not great who cares it’s going to happen at some point in it and probably going to see the page as well we are now on the way to get a turbo trer I’m getting the waho kicker hopefully it works got the turbo trer I want to try and film more myself like you know people ask what you do at work all the time a lot of the stuff I can’t film for obvious reasons don’t to be poking cameras in people’s faces that don’t want to be filmed and stuff like that and security and all that but it’s it’s actually Lun time I’m not just doing this in Works time going now go try and get a cassette and a chain breaker hopefully it’s not too complicated to set up it should be interesting see how long it takes one man who is meant to use tools for his job to put Wahoo kicker car together can’t take me more than 30 minutes the timer is going the hell is this small at the front as you can see I was building the wrong way that’s not a good start 20 minutes just saying 10 minutes to put it together literally all I did was put four bolts on about right I’m just missing the [ __ ] oh my God doesn’t sound too bad coming towards the end of the I talk bike workout now um the turbo much quieter much smoother more accurate on the power by Miles so much better which is not a surprised cuz the other one was about 15 years old how onto the run which is going to be quickly followed by swim then the mess then EDI in a video the run’s finished now I feel like room went pretty well 1026 and the room is an absolute Mess by the way just [ __ ] everywhere but you know this is how it is when you’re trying to trm for an Iron Man post little videos online oh and I have a job as well yeah oh see the watch but it’s toil it’s 5 minutes past midnight sleep is not something that should be neglected especially when doing triffle and training just finished Ed in the video posted it um on Instagram that’s how long it takes like 4 hours yeah that’s why a lot of people don’t last when they do it for just like trying to get superficial reasons which is fine I actually enjoy doing it I don’t really care if I’m not making money or not getting loads of views and stuff like that like obviously the views is good it’s reassuring that people enjoy your content and learning from it and stuff like that but I just enjoy you pissing out with a camera to be honest going to go to bed now though busy day tomorrow the so Jack what are we up to today bro not doing that we’re going to a bike fit and saw first ever bike fit that I’ve actually had with the new Hanzo sweating profusely not ideal Jack how did that go said for the first five rides don’t don’t go hard I’ve got a race in two weeks right I Ain really too sure what was going on to wag yeah we’re Wagg M again why the people not walk on pth that’s the same guy who asked us for money it’s Mr the boy this is lovely is it though I’ve currently got the recovery boots on from pulio people ask me what do I think of them I rate them you know I think they’re good we use them tely um it just kind of flushes out the legs oh 556 we’ve actually made it we’ve actually got up we’ll go cycling let’s go cuz I’m a bit late out don’t know if you can hear me on LT1 ride Lis is going to be doing it with me hey it’s a lovely morning though lovely morning temperature is fantastic feeling good bike fit is actually quite nice look at that you can see the bloody sea now how beautiful is that L has got the clip on air Rob bars on his bike now as well which are actually very useful see how much wind he’ll be catching now and how aerodynamic it’ll be and then when he gets in the bars and he gets his head down a bit yeah look at that who needs a bik fit I am extremely tired I’ve got the mic but I don’t know where the other bit is to attach it we got some receipts got some money back from going to lmol cafer and it’s now time got about 10 minutes now we’ve got like a 3.8 3.6k swim or quite a long one I’m going to write the swim on the bottle so I remember it it’s a pretty long one it’s gone where are we going um we’re going to EP why you wet why is your mouth wet about me being wet going to EP swimming pool we’re off to swim I’m I’m laugh I like that you get it cuz it’s swimming I I got a big swim strength set what did Phil say at the end of it he said uh want you to I Want to Break you down this has got a nice set as well so look at the greenery it’s just fantastic isn’t it and you’ve got your Dy FL license now aren’t you I got a year to by dry app it is another busy day that is coming to an end loaded the podcast there on got a little bit of a problem my hip from today’s ride obviously the bike position changed and I don’t know it’s just really tight I’ve tried to stretch out a bit but I’m just going to leave it going to have some pillar you’re not a drink now you don’t know about pillar you got to get to know got pineapple flavor magnesium uh Berry magnesium just helps you sleep basically there’s a lot of studies behind it but like I said I’m sponsored by Zone 3 and pillar and that’s about it been approached by quite a lot of comp companies and like nutrition companies and everything and I’ve just kind of said no sometimes cuz the deal was just like stupid and then some just cuz I didn’t like certain parts I want to partner with people that I’m really really into and like actually give a [ __ ] about rather than just anyone that gives me a bit of money going to get to bed hopefully this vlog’s been a bit more eventful than some of the others I always think that like could get a bit boring when I’m just like my room chatting away like this but people seem to like them good night Jesus it’s a bit Dark5 ready we go for open Watch after work so yeah a bit we’re at the uh subaca about to go swimming Luc is going to turn around probably Mo in a sec cuz I go out the car stra away looks a bit windy there going to try and get a good swim in meant to go to the pool and do a like strength set but when it comes to the Sea instead cuz the pool’s up like 1 hour a day which is not ideal so yeah let’s get this done so basically when I got the factor I was going to get a bike fit and then cut this stem down because I mean there’s no point in having the stem not cut really not much else to it apart from that looks like the guy’s actually scratched my bike when he did the bike fit I wonder if I could put a bottle cage there a bottle cage would fit quite well there would it the Hanzo has now got its top thing on which will please a lot of people cuz people are getting annoyed that it was just like left [Music] open oh time for a nice tasty bike ride key 7.3 session then after that we’ve got a brick room you know lazy day today so you know let’s get the work in Out 3 minutes until some efforts not feeling the greatest to be fair let’s see how we get on about just over halfway through 45 minutes 7.3 effort uh feeling really good it’s hard but yeah I’m learning uh we hit a [ __ ] red light how annoying is that but get going again once this passes have to pause to watch you know there’s not a lot you can do right is there but yeah we go again 2 minutes left done for 5 minut effort felt very good we got it because of the wind do 10 minute threshold efforts now it’s going to be tasty the ride is done metrics uh I think we average like 34 km/ hour it felt good you know really good now we’ve got a run 90 seconds I am M P 90 seconds 70.3 P 90 seconds easy um for quite a long time so yeah we’re going to get into that now we’re also practicing race nutrition so I’m going to oh that’s not the mic I’m going to get another gel down me I’d rather kind of push it rast nutrition wise now like you know maybe a bit more than I need just to see how my gut is on the Run doing all right finished now pretty good workout felt very strong I’m just excited to myself in got some try bars we are not in my room as you can see uh booby’s room and the TRU is still alive this is the bike he’s going to be using for Venice so we’re going to put these TR bars on for him all right we got booy’s um Arrow bar on now so he’s going to give us a live demonstration of his Arrow position this is the exact same bike I use for n so you know the legacy is going on I I you feel bab do you like it perfect is that you going to look down at you when you’re racing look at the aerodynamics here this guy don’t need a win Tel p in the wrong way mate looking at starting to you know a few business ideas and stuff like that I want to kind of create like a community around trff one and run in and just being an AC and moving you know cuz it’s helped me so much and just give me some to focus on like doing these races and this whole journey really and I want to help other people and I don’t think it’s that easily accessible now like Mone MoneyWise and I’d like to create some cycling clubing like lers that are actually quite cool also high quality not just [ __ ] from China time for a swim morning swim finished nice 2 km strength work arms are blown off we’re back again the light and is just shocking in here cuz of that behind us basically and now on 2% on the camera but we’re going out for a 2our ride and then a 1 hour and 45 minute run afterwards nice and steady might cut the ride a bit shorter depending on how we feel we’re doing it a booby and Louis so hopefully we’ll see them hi welcome back brought my mic today uh got three bik got M two trip the classic and uh fiano 482 and uh yeah what are you doing you bastard that is an hour and 45 minutes of cycling done very steady nice little stop at a coffee shop halfway through just get the legs moving and recovering from yesterday CU it was quite a big day now we are going to go for a run along the cliffs all three of us again losing B going to do an hour and I’m going to do another 45 minutes so an hour and 45 minutes so after that get some and done get some work done coaching and all that stuff and then we’re off out for pizza busy as always but that’s how I like it yeah 3 2 one go you’d have been done by now if you had quick ties shut up look you literally would have been done oh I’m so quick at time You’ have literally been flying like com 10 minutes ago you made a comment 53 minutes in 8.5k boy and leou have decided to stay with us Haven you oh yeah yay we decided our coach had other plans yeah they were meant to do an hour but I don’t know they’re still going so yeah good good effort boys I dragged them out on a circular route and turns out the route is bigger than expected so still like 50 minutes away from home having fun I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had is the outro
