whoa oh this guy oh [Music] oh Jesus a sunny day at bike par Wales with Sam hello I’m on my nuk prooof megawatt well actually not mine borrowed and Sam’s on his Cube what is it Sam uh stereo 155 stereo 155 ebike should be a good day Yow let’s go there’s the uplift but no uplift for us today first time back here in four or 5 years back with Sam on the EES and we’re going to do some fun laps hopefully but first we got to get to the top of this long climb so let’s go the top oh yes waiting too long hello new bike new bike yeah bought it yesterday only sent me back 10 grand no warranty no warranty nothing first run poty ping conditions are perfect perfect J not used to riding rocks don’t have any rocks down south this is an extra extra large n prooof mega. I’m on and it’s massive and heavy not used to riding such a heavy bike it’s fun though these plars are sick cramp in my hands as well need to drink some more water off the line bro I need to hit the gym my arms are [Applause] tired P section got a look ahead BR this bike is so long I just find myself having to turn it way harder anyone else got arm pump yeah I was not expecting three that long yeah yeah boy yeah boy your arm’s gone red even I know from all the arm pump this fancy machine on Luke’s Fork I know does it do anything yeah me and Sam have got our ebikes in Eco for today cuz we’ve only got one battery each but leis is here on his normal bike and he’s outpacing us and he’s outpacing us wibbly wobbly leis in front then Sam then me oh hopefully that’s not a flat for me yeah boy if it is a flat it’s a slow flat it did make quite a loud noise this is Bumpy [Applause] man beautiful light [Applause] got to be careful in the trees my 800 mil BS on oh this was good fast really fast that was really good but that was worth the 3 and 1 half hour drive here L you’re moving through that last VI bro yeah he was okay let’s go ready yeah action stations oh this Trail is called willly just cut half of them out yeah I was scar we’re just going inside inside inside guys bike part wheels are sick I don’t know why I don’t come more often yeah so busy though Sam’s gone to find a a smallish stick to tow Le up the climb Sam that is not a small stick thinks he’s G though [Applause] oh Che brother right we’re hitting boom slang Sam says this is a good one so we trust him F Alps isn’t it yeah everything comes out real quick is it clean yes nice right so now we’re going to go to the top and we’re going to try the new section of the trail a470 which has been freshly refurbished and it’s just basically a long jump line so we’re going to give that a go but we got to get to the top first what let’s go my um recording is the screen on is the screen on is it obvious that the screen’s on yeah why is taking so I wasn’t sure if it was always on brother this guy oh oh you okay ouch bro bad example that scared me don’t let that put you off that’s put me off don’t let that put you off Dolph in here [Applause] that’s the sickest thing that was really nice [Applause] oh my hands Rim dinger what is this who Yeah Boy wa y could barely grip onto my bars a crazy arm pump not used to riding this bicycle I think I can barely pull the brake it was good I might have to have a little rest you know [Applause] [Applause] what [Applause] good fun right LS got tired headed home so it’s just me and Sam now stuck the bikes in uh turbo mode and just bombing up the fire roads see if we can get a couple more laps in but I’m pretty tired already to be fair so we’ll see so this bike has actually got shrams auto shift um which means that it tries to predict what gear you need and then shifts for you but I used it a few times and I’m not really a fan of it I don’t know it’s like um it it stresses me out a little bit if you come to a really steep climb it can’t predict what’s coming like uh the gradient so sometimes well a lot of the time I end up in the wrong gear it it does change quite quickly when you need it but it’s just a little bit unnecessary like I prefer to just change gear myself like that’s what I’ve done my whole life so I thought I just turn the auto shift off it is cool it’s a cool feature and I’m sure lots of people like it and you can override it if you want but yeah don’t think it’s for me all right going to try the top of Kermit hopefully take it into something more interesting oh flat corners oh this is fun it’s really fast whoa oh I heard it bro almost I heard the almost front and back washed oh front and back yeah wo that was good though was it that’s nice that one so fast so second half of melted well the blues are always my favorite oh ni little Gap there sound is [Applause] cooking the wind’s picking up gray clouds looks like it’s going to rain although there’s Blue Sky over there yeah so maybe not but we’re going to do this track escort y um it’s a black Trail but I think it’s just Tech like no big jumps hopefully right then son right then son ready son let’s do this wow we just we did that we did that all right [Applause] escort oh Big Rock to the bike [Applause] there I’m going to take this wide line oh many regrets guys this is actually kind of a genuinely a black Trail sometimes there’s black trails that aren’t really black trails but this one seems to be actually quite hard Sam that was actually techy that was all right it’s raining now we’re going to do roll a disco sounds like fun well there’s some rollers already no disco yet though or was that the Disco I don’t know yeah boy great view look at that a bit too close I can’t see you so many merges here you got to check them all check your blind spot and we’re going to head up for another one in the rain head up the climb of [Applause] Doom guys I don’t know if you can see on my arm but it’s actually hailing now it is so we got we had a beautiful sunny morning and a bit of drizzle now we got hail typical Welsh weather but we’re loving it yeah yeah boy let’s do this hopefully these rocks aren’t too slippery oh I’m in a hard gear I don’t know why oh it’s super slippery oh that bit wasn’t oh this is nice I like this Trail well so far that’s not the place to drop a foot there that was good is it um is it clean uh it’s watery Bonville oh my goodness that’s a big drop was not aware it was like that but we good this is a black Sam I got it [Applause] brother huh brother you remember I said that’s my last trail yeah and then uh go we’re going down the red one I think there’s a little drop here and then oh we’re going down the red one oh black Trail okay yeah we did that it was fun though yeah I I just I remembered that black one from years ago oh that one’s actually right mate this weather’s how that day changed
