This weekend I went up to Salisbury to recce Hot Chillee’s Stone Circle event with my friend Nik. Promised ‘fast-flowing US style gravel roads’ we were excited to charge around Wiltshire on our gravel bikes. The British weather had other ideas and we were substantially slowed down by thick mud and slippery clay. It was very fun, though probably quite unlike what we’ll be riding come summer solstice. Looking forward to going back and riding the full 215km, hopefully in dry, sunny conditions. Here’s the ride: https://www.hotchillee.com/events/stone-circle-gravel/

We did a “uk gravel” ride the other week in the Surrey hills, mixed in with some mtb trails but was pretty much a mud fest! So much harder to pedal and takes a lot of energy just to go a short distance. This route looked really fun!
The funniest thing for me these last few years is watching British youtubers "especially one you know in the Torquay area" on their "Gravel bikes" actually looking for gravel, it's very funny! I've come to the conclusion the bike industries should make new bikes just for the UK market "Mud Bikes". I live in Poland, and seriously, no seriously, I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of gravel, you cant get away from it, it is gravel heaven, its everywhere! On the edge of cities, at least 80% of forests and fields and woodland tracks are gravel!
Why do I keep thinking of Spinal Tap?
Awesome video from the home land….
I some how miss the mud Juliet….
Thanks f’keeping us in the loop.
Great work as always 🇬🇧✌🏽
One of your best videos.
Just English style mud!
Too bad you can’t get stoned at Stonehenge! I’d find a way 😂🎄
Definitely didn't see anything that looked remotely like US gravel there! Not sure how I'm going to cope with that when I'm back in the UK for a few weeks this summer?!
Lovely area to ride on the plain
love you
Hahahahaaa….you look stunning in orange with mud….😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Stone Henge, one of my bucket list items as well as the pyramids & sphinx of Egypt 😎
Another brilliant video ❤️❤️🚐🚐 xx
Juliet one should try the “green divide” ,a 2or 3 Days gravelride in thé Netherlands
Your sky and where you are is the same as Nebraska… if i blind folded you couldn't tell if you were in the UK or then middle of United States or America part of the world… 😁
Juliet you guys don't have stickers do you? In that ride you just did, did you get any flats? If you say no i will cry in front of everybody….
Your videos are always so much fun, cheers Juliet! 🍕🍻
I never understood why cyclists dont use mudguards
I liked some of the music tracks. Pls share.❤
Ah, my back yard. Shame you seemed to miss the best parts!
Gravel in the UK is really mud from the videos I’ve seen!
Come ride Nordic Gravel Series in Sweden this August for some good gravel riding. 🤙
Sold my gravel bike on Gumtree and picked up an XC hardtail immediately when I moved to the UK
lolly sticks !
Stonehenge doesn't have a gift shop right next to the site? Oh you Brits are missing out on cashing in on your prehistoric ancestry!
You dropped an unintentional bilingual pun in there – "We're going to be approaching Stonehenge by bike, which is pretty rad!" ("Rad" means "bike" or "wheel" in German).
Yes, I am a massive dork 😅
Such a fan 🎉🎉🎉
Sad to see how quickly you all passes the horse while on a Bridle path ?!
What does US gravel mean? Cause I am in the US desert, which is not really like that or what the rest of the gravel riding people think of US gravel. I think you'd enjoy desert gravel riding.
