got the best of the best of the best right here South Carolina another spectacular day weed Out World BL yesterday throughout the challenge Cruiser classes we’ve got a few more challenge Cruiser well Med one is a fully functioning Mobile hospital so these athletes can have minor injuries or they can have severe catastrophic injuries either way we’re equipped to take care of them and when you’re on the scene we noticed how fast you guys react did you guys go through a little bit of training with the UCI every morning we do 30 to 45 minutes of training to make sure we don’t hold up the race but we never compromise safety we want these athletes to be safe no matter what and you guys hear it it’s all about the safety of the Riders Dr waren of course the med team here incredible job Brazil out in front the Olivera leading into the turn USA 2 and three at the minute the 76 and the 62 that’s going to be Workman and Goodner taking that two and three at the moment Brazil still Williams out of Australia in inside the top four with the strain strin out of laia in five USA bringing it to the strike under a little bit of pressure the 530 takes the win that was Wayne [Music] spot under pressure from the Danish Rider but it’s Pereira Ramirez of Brazil who’s in there into the Venezuelan Rider Mand monos taking the Win race 46 mat Wales out of Great Britain in there in about five at the moment Luke Marsh out of Australia is the man out in front Silva of Chile inside the top four the Americans are in there Austin Kelly and Matthew lene those guys are two and three swes I’ll tell you what great racing going on so far though Rich certainly seen some uh situations where Riders have taken a little look around as they’ve gone across the Finish Line they’ve looked the wrong way and somebody’s just uh nipped in and Nick to position from them as we see those uh fans in the stands if you see yourself on that big jumbo trunk give yourselves a big wave get involved here through the Finish Line whether it’s Victorious and screaming loud or whether it’s a tear that they’re shedding they’re not only doing this for themselves they’re not only doing this for their family but they’re also Racing for their country and for all of you guys to come around the world and support them on behalf of UCI and Rock Hill we can’t thank you guys enough because I get to see it I get to look at it I get to look in these kids eyes and the adults as they come through and they head back to the tents the passion that these guys have and young ladies to race their bikes so I on behalf all the Riders from all around the world and the thing I love most I think about this is the fact that I see Riders who I’ve never seen before and they’ve got the skill and they’ve got the passion and they’ve got the track smarts to get these races won you know I see Riders from countries that I’ve never been to and uh yeah they just they’re just doing everything that they possibly can to win these races and it’s just phenomenal to see I’ve seen Riders from Aruba and Japan and I’m never ever ever not impressed a phenomenal yeah exactly like we’ve been saying the whole time man the best of the best from around the world and it and it’s really cool to see everybody just having some fun up there everybody’s up in the stands right now waving having some fun that’s what it’s all about you know it’s all it’s you know you put the helmet on you rich and I we put helmets on we get on Deck I want to cut you off I want to beat you to the Finish Line all that stuff but you know what after we get to the Finish Line it’s all hugs and high fives and we can you know go out and have a couple of drinks and all that kind of stuff and just have some fun that’s what really what the sport is all about nothing but the best stuff going on especially when You’ got Riders from you know 7 8 years old 9 years old all the way up into their 60s and 70s still out here racing and it’s [Music] just I mean kind of man it gives me a little bit of chills when I see those flags go up like Japan like the Netherlands like of course in our hometown USA it’s the passion behind it and they’re bringing their Flags out and that to me is what gets me all chilled yeah there’s something really cool about being at the BMX World Championships and one of the things that really impresses me is that there you see some of the younger Riders out there and they they have friends that they make at a World Championships when they’re like 8 years old and then when they’re 16 they’re still friends with those kids and they treat each other like best mates even though they only see each other once a year it’s just like they greet them like old friends and it’s it’s the best thing in the world and it’s one of the things I love most about the BMX racing World Championships and the young kids they love the racing they love to be involved but one other thing that they love is the is the Jersey swapping you know that’s probably the most important of any world championships for kids and one of the best jerseys I think I’ve seen this year is the USA one I do love the USA Jersey I think it’s phenomenal this year advert for the B BMX racing you your Riders have come from all around the world and it’s been a truly international field the Riders who’ve lined up like you said from France from Aruba from the USA from Australia and all the fans from all around the world have got involved BMX racing is a true international sport and it’s been demonstrated here in Rock Hill at the UCI BMX racing World Championship 2024 so grindle I have a question for you obviously in the South there hasn’t been a lot of rain since last weekend we got a little bit of precipitation on the track today do you think that might have changed the dynamic with the Riders as we headed into the FI the last few finals you know it definitely settles in as you’re back in staging and you you know you start coming up the hill you’re feeling a little bit of a raindrop going on this track definitely races really really well in the rain but it does have a little bit of effect when you’re up there on the gate as we saw with a couple of gate starts right there you pop the clutch a little too hard you kind of got to judge it a little bit you know and how much power you want to come out of the gate with and then uh
