TRY THIS PLACE … Road end caravan PK – Very close to the A1 but far enough away not to hear it , we found this lovely little site near stamford just past peterborough to use as a stopover on our way north to chatsworth house , ideal if your coming from the north or south just a couple of minutes drive from the A1 turn off , cheap , clean and well maintained with coded entry , chip shop , petrol station , shop all close by , what more could you ask for

[Music] she said wait for it to open fully y very nice where you want to go right in the corner so our door’s facing that hedge good little where’s B on oh there in the corner there a it an electrical cable it be right there it mean yeah well hello again and welcome to this video we’ve just arrived at a lovely little CL or is it a CS we’re not in norfk nowhere near Northfork nowhere near suffk nowhere near Essex or London we are near about 3 miles from Rutland water so we’re near Peter bar we’ve just literally driven past the Peter bar showr we’re on our way to Chatsworth House Club site never been there and we’re really looking forward to it but we this is kind of a well we would have gone today but this pitch we wanted wasn’t available till tomorrow yeah so we’re uh yeah we stopped off halfway or sort of little bit a third of the way yeah third of the way to this road end Caravan Park as I said just if you’re coming from the south just past Peter burough show ground about 5 miles past there um but yeah nice nice little place isn’t [Music] it all right I have large cotton chips twice [Music] [Music] placee dropped it what I just dropped the fishing chips in box or bag no bag where are the drinks drink I don’t like ginger beer oh it’s a bit of a soggy one it’s been in the bottom it’s really yeah that was uh if you do come here it was about a mile there maybe a little bit more but it was a nice ride there easy to find [Music] well that was a lovely bit of fishing chips if I don’t say so myself it h what did you think of it yeah very nice thumbs up you enjoyed it yeah so Road end Caravan Park very very convenient if you’re traveling down or up the A1 it’s literally a mile mile away from the turnoff um which was why we came here it was ideal stop oversight there was plenty of good reviews on there and the lady is a ru nice lady who owns the place and she comes around and uh you know if there’s anything you need to know she gladly helps you there’s a little drop boox over there where you where you put your payment it is a non facility site um I think they are facilities but I think they’re for I think it’s just toilets yeah for other venues or something like that I’m not sure no we’re not sure they’re all they’re all padlocked up uh chemical waste behind there fresh water waste water and some nice pitches some really nice pitches as you can see we’re on grass here new Ballard set up there and it’s it’s ideal for us we’re going to be shooting off in the morning chatw house that would be nice and very different for us getting out of uh Northfolk for a change it’s actually my holiday I’ve got like 3 days off so Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday so we’re going to enjoy that what’s your opinion you like this little place yeah it’s nice yeah it’s always nice when it’s nice and green yeah a coded entry as I said you put your money in an envelope and put it in a little little box over there and that’s it sometimes I’ve read on the reviews sometimes the lady comes around sometimes not but it doesn’t matter it’s all done by email and stuff so it’s pretty good is it pretty electric gate so you just put the code in and the gate opens yeah electric gate code way you go there is a road just the other side of this hedge here but you can’t really uh hear much [Music] n [Music] just come out on a little walk and there’s y1 right there very close [Music] [Music] it’s about 6:00 now we’re uh going to get be getting ready tomorrow to shoot off early so we just thought we’ll have a nice little light lunch and a cup of tea and watch a film and and go to bed you can’t beat a ham cheese and sandwich spread ble who remembers the sandwich bread show us the sandwich bread all I love that stuff growing up when we was growing up there we had nothing in the sandwich except that yeah no [Music] seriously too many steps would you look at that we’ve woken up to a lovely morning beautiful this is when camping it’s best we’re about to uh walk the dogs now and then we’re off to the drive to Chatsworth but would you reckon of this place yeah it’s lovely really good TV signal that was what I forgot to mention yesterday I’ve got 5G even in the bathroom I’ve got full signal we used it to watch Telly last night didn’t we yeah wow Netflix yeah so O2 I’m on 5G perfect brilliant to uh use your your Hotpot with Cy’s on E and you got 4G 4G can’t be bad although we’re not ready for we we’ve seen at Chatsworth house there saying some people are saying that the um reception is fair but I’ve done um internet coverage for both of our phones and it says good indoors and Outdoors so okay we should hopefully have a good enough single to get yeah tell I know we keep going on about our phones and signal and everything else but it’s it’s like you you know you do do rely on your phones where well we’ve been to a campsite where we’ve had no TV signal and no internet you just sat there talk to each other but but a lot of people don’t even watch Telly a lot of people might say why you’re even watching the Telly or worried about your phones when you’re away camping anyway which is the whole idea of camping is getting away from all the tech a lot of people say that yeah but we always have it on the the dogs settle with the Telly on yeah just if you got the Telly on they think something’s happening yeah like a bit of background noise feels lovely putting a nice dry lead away for a change not soaking wet I’ve usually got a cloth microfiber cloth in his hand and drying it as I reel it up lovely a blessing so yeah the benefit of this the biggest benefit of this little cing site here is the fact that it’s a perfect stopover literally uh a minute from the A1 coming north or south you guys just perfect is it yeah we woke up to a pair of ducks this morning yeah there’s a petrol station um about half a mile up the road here there’s a little post office uh chippy Spa shop that sort of thing so we found some nice walks IDE yeah and a lovely walk across the road by a river yeah so yeah we’re just going to walk the dogs now and then leave for chat house in the pouring down rain tomorrow well at least the journey is going to be dry yeah [Music]
