After a day off and feeling sick I set of on my final leg to Zurich. I was planning to go over the high mountains but it had been stormy and very cold, and I was not feeling so fit so opted for the longer city route. It turned out to be stunning and had some pretty nice views too. As I turned East from Basel the wind at last started to help me which felt amazing.

my God it’s enormous who look at that fantastic path along the side of the road here oh God we got the head wind again lots of big houses around here it’s uh Eastern Monday so very quiet no shops are open and uh the wind is against me but lots of buildings here so I don’t really feel it too badly kind of almost hoping it’s going to be filter up all the way cuz the architecture is interesting looks like we’re in the center of fryberg so I think I’ll do a little tour around before I go on my way can see the cathedral there is a cafe open thirsty look at this it’s a bit dangerous isn’t it you fell down there apparently people used to take a dumit there dur Med EV times there it is it’s over there that’s what we want to see look at that that is something El wow look at this place wow wow look at that that is something else is it that is something else oh it’s bloody wind God is throwing everything at me Hills wind I’m just really tired and suffering I’ve only just begun finally got to top of that Hill let see if we get any view from here oh yes a nice view wow look at the view in the distance get nearer and nearer the Alps hit some gravel ah more wind oh what’s that all about why are they putting some boots hanging up here oh look at the view it’s looking good expecting that on send town we got the seral bath here that looks good and I would love to get in there get the view don’t see any snow on the mountains since it’s Easter Monday I guess even these big roads are empty okay here we are going into Switzerland [Music] I’m okay well just discovered my data plan doesn’t work in Switzerland completely out of touch just have a fuing cafe with WiFi and it’s open [Music] ni fantastic amazing God it is so beautiful here it really is so beautiful [Music] in [Music] [Music] what is that do St orberg we’re in St orberg May some or came here Wonder have a nice sa thank you yeah I’m in 1,000 Kil which is plus I get a wind that actually helps me and it feels bloody good fly along so different so so different can’t believe it my final leg of my trip I’m getting blown along and I’m suddenly going like twice as fast so suddenly all the bike path lanes are marked with yellow interesting this road must have been repurposed as a bik there or something okay back into the countryside oh this is nice and you prob have got the moment is a saw bump and a saw [Applause] neck considering the aggressive angles of this bike neck has been fairly good actually it’s almost like the basso you know I kind of grew into it a long we go so it’s very comfortable right from the start saddle was a bit high so maybe my legs are my legs are shrunk or something maybe it’s cuz I’m wearing normal shoes anyway had to put the saddle down a wee bit but uh it’s been pretty comfortable considering ing W up car I just got butt off my cute chick I can’t keep up i’ got no energy right well that girl is Miles Ahead now even after half a kilo one thing I realize is I’m certainly not a fast rider anymore [Applause] holy crap look how CL [Music] [Applause] god well she is one fast rider or I’m a very slow rider I don’t know well Kut says I’ve got some big ill coming up but I really wonder cuz looking at the actual route it goes straight through so it might be a tunn any he I normally I would love to go over a big hill but right now my legs just don’t want to do that D Here We Go Again getting blown off the road again Zurich 43 km okay well it turns out it was a big hill coming up 7 8% well this is a pretty horrible road cars come whizzing past you at ridiculous speeds we’re getting to the top going a bik PA let be the top the view now we get the view look at that hey and we’re back on the cycle route [Applause] again what is that thing looks like a love [Applause] Hotel oh my god this is my first tunnel in nearly 1,200 kilometers here it is my first [Applause] tunnel wow didn’t last very long [Applause] ah snow cap mounted in the distance with the sun setting on it I doubt you’ll see it on this video looks fantastic too far [Applause] away well we must be getting close oh no this is more like it tra can I get through here 9: sh
