Manchester City runaway winners against wolves as they keep right on Pace just behind Arsenal in the title race and how about the goal production for earling Holland up to 61 Premier League goals in his short time already at Manchester City and that number took a big leap today goodness with Rah Sterling scored 91 go from four that he buried man uh against wolves and how about this an elite company he hits number 250 today and he does so ahead of both lonel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and all that in a season where people have said he’s not quite at his best uh but at his best today the four goals well yes I mean and and I think some of Ali and I had a conversation during this match and just talking about man city doesn’t sometimes play to his strengths why do you not see more often just toss the ball up at the far post and let him come crush somebody why not play that quick through ball let him run away from defenses in Midfield it’s almost like it gets so intricate because there’s so much talent on the field you don’t want to highlight just one person but here was an opportunity because of for whatever reason they said okay we’re going to let earling be earling and just destroy this defense anybody else in the Premier League or anywhere have a have a center forward that scores goals like that header I don’t think they did dunk I mean they don’t so man man City’s basically got everything they can score a goal any any which way you want do you agree with what Casey’s hinting at here that they should play more through Holland obviously today they do but it’s different from what we’ve seen throughout the season look I I don’t compared to his goals I think playing through them depends how you mean playing through them you know if you put balls in LA and there’s plenty of space like we saw in one of his goals then absolutely but and with Casey and the fact that they don’t put enough balls in the B cuz as I said there’s not another team in the Premier League got a center forward that scores ahead like that I mean that’s she’s you see how high that guy got there how do you how do you defend against I was telling I was telling Oli that I played with uh Les Ferdinand at the end of his career now I played against him in the prime of his career but those certain situations where Les would kind of drift out a little wide maybe a 5 foot 8 5′ n outside time yeah to me I think it’s key to make the distinction of playing through erling Highland or actually putting him in behind and you don’t I honestly don’t think that you even have to complete this passes for him to be dangerous just the threat of him getting in behind is going to make it easier for the guys underneath if you push teams back then Kevin De bruyne can get tricky and and Phil foden can float around and there’s more space from Rodi and more space for the guys at White because you’re pushing the line back I don’t think that City Manchester City does this enough and just playing a through ball just the threat of finding a through ball and if indeed it’s a 50-50 challenge between erling hen and whoever most defenders in the Premier League he’s actually strong enough to use that physical get get of me I can go to goal we don’t see enough of that but we know that he’s capable and I think he knows he’s capable and he’ll give the run and then don’t give him the ball and he’ll give the run and they don’t give him the ball so by the third or fourth time he’s like well I’m not giving you the Run anymore because I’m not getting the ball Feed the Beast Man put the ball in behind he’s going to reward you on on the point of putting the ball in the Box M you know we see Manchester City pushing teams back to the edge of the box and they’re going side to side and side to side and side and people are standing off them because there’s nowhere to go you kept there’s no space to pass the ball if they started putting just lifting balls into the box then the opposition have to go and close the ball so then what you do is then you get a little bit of space to play a pass so now now you’re opening up another Avenue to score goals for your team if you continually go side to side nobody’s going to come and close the ball which means that there’s never going to be any space and particularly a wolf side that was playing a higher line if you’re going to be play that suicide High Line when you you have that pace to go in behind then slip it in behind like oi said and and and let him run Manchester City big Winners Arsenal Big Winners as well let’s take a look at the respective run-ins for these teams as they both chase that premier league title of course City have a game in hand they’re away at Fulham away at Spurs then close home against West Ham for Arsenal it’s away at Man United next Sunday and then home against Everton on May 19th jwes looking at at those schedules who’s more likely to slip up with what’s left I don’t think either of them will I think they both both will win all their games obviously for Arsenal they need City at some point to at least draw a game and when you look I don’t think they will drop points of fulam away and by the way next weekend is the opposite to this weekend City will play first on the Saturday and potentially put pressure on Arsenal who then play on Sunday afternoon away Old Trafford I guess maybe it’s a it’s a big maybe it’s aware Spurs for city that is the most tricky games of the three they have remaining aware foram I don’t think it’s a problem at home to West Ham for the last year last day of the season I don’t think that’s a problem but Spurs are shambolic at the moment and they will be shambolic in 10 days time when they play City at home and I I really don’t think that in the form they are now to help their arsh Rivals to win the title as well I just don’t think it will happen so City will win all their games and Arsenal as well and Arsenal will finish with 89 points points and we still not win the Premier League what about that Arsenal trip to Old Trafford you think that could be a banana skin possible but not likely MH Arsenal Arsenal are just in a groove right now they just it feels as though they’re just steamrolling teams just putting so much pressure on them that you kind of like watching today it just felt like a matter of time before they scored it wasn’t oh this could sometimes you get a feeling oh this could go wrong or things are not quite going right I then never got that feeling and I don’t have that feeling at all about Arsenal right now they’re just steamrolling teams and I think we’ll do the same to United I remember uh uh arsenal were in first Liverpool were in second and we’re and I’m at in whiteart Lane we’re playing Liverpool and you know we’re kind of mid-table not doing anything at the end of the season and and and I’m making a bunch of saves and we’re I’m trying to keep us in this game eventually Liverpool beats US 1 nil and I remember leaving the stadium and and some spurs fans saying to me oh Casey we we’re happy that you were making the saves but we we didn’t want us to get a result and give Arsenal a better opportunity to win the league we wanted to keep Liverpool because we knew we were out of it and I think Jules makes a a great point because yes Spurs are not going to want to give an opportunity for Arsenal to get ahead of uh I know that the players won’t be thinking that but the the fans will definitely be thinking they’ll take they’ll take the loss yes for sure you think Spurs will be tricky for City or no they may be but it has to be the best version of Spurs and we are far off from that whatever that best version is and much like Stevie has this strong feeling about Arsenal and I agree that they’re steamrolling people it doesn’t feel like Manchester City are backing into results here they were dominant today you have the confidence now earling Highland coring goals it just feels like now they’re building momentum and it’s going to take something really special if you look at it from from the perspective of some of the other teams or catastrophic from the perspective of Manchester City for them to draw points and have we seen this before from Man City yeah finishing a season where they say okay we’ll just win out and win this thing but don’t overlook the most aining team in the world Manchester United maybe there it is it is most dynamic team ever in the history of mankind Arsenal and Manchester City both winners on Saturday as we take a look at the rest of Saturday’s action
