My first cycling kit. From Assos, feels really premium. Can’t wait to take for a soon.

    — Fitting question, I have some extra room in the belly area but in the chest and arms it’s tight, should I go size down or is it ok and how “club” fit should be? When I’m leaning forward the shirt is has some fold in the belly area.

I think it looks great. You could probably go down a size if you wanted to.

Also, I’m curious, do other sports have as many spandex selfies? I follow some running, swim, tri, and weight, firing subs but cycling is really the only one with a sub devoted to “how do I look in my tights” posts.

I’m not even mad. Genuinely curious. I find it endearing and kind of enjoyable to discuss nuances about who has a better zipper or chamois etc. but also, I haven’t found the swimming sub that has any sort of equivalent discussions about speedo fit… then again those selfies could be problematic. Nvm… hairy thighs imagery this close to breakfast was a bad time. 🤮

Definitely size down, maybe even two sizes for the jersey. It definitely seems a little wide around the torso, belly and upper arm area. Assos wear is supposed to fit super tight, aero fit. The saying goes ‘if it zips, it fits’.

Also for the belly area when you size down, it may feel strange or too short. But remember, when your on the bike you bend over, so these jerseys are designed that way. Usually they’re a little long on the back, and shorter up front.

What kind of fit are you looking for? If you want a club for and you’re comfortable in this then rock it. If you want a race fit then definitely size down maybe even 2 sizes.

I got my first race fit jerseys this year and at first I thought for sure I had to size up. I just had to get used to the feeling and now it’s quite comfortable. Remember, if it zips it fits haha
