Cycling with the Gods in Greece🇬🇷 (part 1)

Here we are continuing our journey in Greece.
We take the ferry and explore Samothraki, an island full of life. An intense color palette, sleepy villages and steep rocky cliffs. A wonderful, quiet place that gave us some rest from riding our bikes.
Cycling in Greece definitely took us by surprise, in a lot of good ways. We’re living in the moment and enjoying every bit of sea we see.

[Music] after crossing the Turkish Greek border we cycled further in the direction of Alexandra strange how sudden the atmosphere completely changed it immediately felt more familiar and European for our first night we stayed in this rundown hotel next to the road on its premises there were also ruins from Byzantine times and an abandoned Spa complex where we did some strolling our plan was to follow the coast to cycle close to the Sea we noticed that a lot of buildings were abandoned or looked very rundown clearly the tourist season hasn’t started here yet and we even wondered if some of the places would ever open again quite a contrast with some of the beautiful idyllic beaches that are found here on our second day in Greece we took the ferry to srai a lush Rock rising from the ocean ready to be explored [Music] arrived in Greece Lena is shopping for sunglasses since she lost hers maybe the third day we were cycling or something cycling without sunglasses isn’t much fun e a few hours ago uh we took the boat to samot traki we uh we took it in alexandi and I think it’s fair to say that we found ourselves a camp spot I’m going to show you we’re like I don’t know where we are it’s green it’s Lush it’s like something completely different from what we’ve seen before so and yeah the the the the major plus here’s the sea and there’s literally no around so it feels like a holiday inside of a holiday inside of a holiday [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] a and [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Music] you probably can’t hear me because it’s pretty windy here Frey on our way back to the fairy we passed the sanctuary of the great gods samrai in ancient times was the island home of the mystery Cult of the great Gods whose initiation rights promis Divine protection at Sea the identity and nature of the craan Gods remain enigmatic it feels quite special to stand here on these grounds and to fantasize about what it must have been like so long ago [Music] sh [Music] up well [Music] n [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning we had a early start we had a beautiful ride uh close to the Sea and now we’re here and we’re just going to enjoy it so bra Beach bra Beach I guess it’s uh pretty busy here during in the summer months but right now there is absolutely no one here not a camper van not a tent and absolutely no bike Packers okay welcome to my group I’ll show you around we have the spacious uh dining area in the kitchen my husband really loves to cook so spacious light we really opted for like a cozy atmosphere uh little pizza oven also and then this is where the magic happens spacious living room always wanted that lake view view of the woods all you can wish for and the price [Applause] [Music] deck so what’s for dinner tonight we have some pasta on the menu pasta with zucchini lovely as you can see um Greece is not always uh white sandy beaches and Med and drinking some oo in the sun can also be like this like uh getting a shower while biking actually it’s not too bad we could use a shower so uh let’s enjoy all the elements [Music] [Music] [Music] that was it for now thanks for watching if you enjoy our adventures be sure to hit the Subscribe button and give us a big thumbs up it helps us grow our little Channel for more daily updates go follow us on Instagram lots of love from the road Lena and Neils [Music]
