Day 3 of owning my marlin 6 and decided to ride to the next town over. Close to 20 miles. Lots of ups and downs so I really get to play around with shifting, which is fun…
But damn it if I finally understood what you guys meant by "SLOW" .
I stop peddling and this thing comes to a near stop faster then quagmire when he see a hit teen.. hahah..that was kind of annoying.
I did buy it so I could explore the off road world but dang I would barely be able to ride on the roads. Riding into town was ok, sun was out and I'm riding long side a river. But I dint consider the time and it got real dark on my way back and I was not prepared with proper lighting, ( thank God for my cell phone flash light)
I tried hard to get home asap but lots of effort went into keeping the bike moving.
Maybe I'll need a second bike haha.

what tire pressure are you running? the stock tires are mostly for off road traction so they are soft and sticky. I ride mostly city and very hard pack or gravel trails. I run a Kenda Small Block 8 in the front with 60-65psi and a Kenda Kwest in the back at 85-90psi on my 69er and that things flies pretty good when I want it to.
