The National Geographic Societies educational series “Families of this world” was only available as 16mm color film with sound and required a 16mm projector 📽️, which was normally found in educational, government, political offices and libraries in almost every country during that time.
We are showing this film here to give the viewer the chance to see of what Bad Tabarz, located a few miles east of Eisenach Thuringia, looked like it during the Cold War, when it was part of East Germany (German Democratic Republic GDR).
