First Reddit post ever here as I am desperate to get to the bottom of this for an answer…
I recently bought an 2023 FX3 and have been loving it, and I was spitballing the idea of putting a crank arm power meter on it, however, upon further inspection. It appears the Prowheel Crank assembly that comes on the bike uses fully proprietary crank arm spindle connections?
The full crank itself is “Shimano Hollowtech II compatible”, but I think it’s just referring to if you were to replace the entire crankset? I was hoping I could just order a 175mm Shimano R7000 non-drive side crank arm power meter, but it clearly isn’t going to be compatible (way to many spindles, compared to the Prowheel’s 12…)
Does anyone know if there IS a compatible crank spindle connection out there? Or would I be just looking at replacing the entire crank or getting peddle power meters? TIA
