    1. Living in a West Country Farming Community was driving and passed my first ever driving test on MF135.. age wise now few years on..!
Drove a Daisy Brown or two 880/990.. Leyland 802.. last ever in the mid 80's Dexter live-drive and 35X by then both yard tractors, but run trailers during Silage/Hay/Harvesting.
At that time was involved with an Agriculture Presentation Club, showing a rebuilt 1936 Lister D 2HP off the wooden trailed Lister elevator.. never seen another lister the same, small Flywheel (sat flat on frame) an dome cap rocker cover vent, not slotted side cover, had a sweet little brass Fuel Filter on block between tank an Carb.. couldn't get the Horseshoe Mag rewound.. Ran also 1952 Petter Series A1 came off a loader mounded Fleming Hedge trimmer.. I recall as a small Lad having seen both machines working in the field.. events in Life had to part with both Engines.. regret as with Althing's.
I'd verify on the Orange Fordson.. heard much the same, big target out in fields for gun happy Enemy Pilots to use ammunition/shells and disrupt Farming.. Horses and Livestock could be target too.
That's some Sale.. I'd been temped on the Field Marshal, saw a few at the Shows, distinct sound and on startup. Local Gent ran one on a Reed-comber and did a few winch jobs.
Cheers for sharing, very best. Davey
