Though the weather report looked less than reassuring, we set out for a bike tour of Versailles with Fat Tire Bikes.
After a short ride in town, we stopped at the local market place for picnic provisions. Alcohol isn’t allowed but luckily the security woman didn’t notice or seem bothered by the wine in Steve’s basket.
The Versailles grounds were immense and amazing. The actual palace was absolutely over the top. Words cannot describe the ostentatious display of wealth.
The weather held out and we felt only a sprinkle or two on the way home. What a wonderful day to share with Steve and Sarah!
