Rasmus Svenningsson crowned as the new Ironman Africa Champion

The Swede Rasmus Svenningsson, is the new Ironman Africa champion, a step up from his fourth place last year.

His first win came at the expense of Cameron Wurf who lead the race for a long time, but ultimately finished 3rd.

Mathias Peterson from Denmark took second place, one place up from last year.

The South African favourite, Matt Trautman, did not complete the race.
