A very boring monument where the winner is known and the others do not run to anything.

2024: year of long, solo breakaway wins. Kind of weird, and honestly not the most exciting races.
Tadej said goodbye on the easier part of Redoute; nobody could follow. When you're good, you're good… It will be a great Giro.

LBL is just getting worse. It has always been the dullest monument and now its barely watchable. Pog did what he said he would – attack on Redroute and soloed to the win. His attack was the only one in the whole race. Madness.

Another boring spring classic this season, it’s becoming like f1 with mvdp and pogacars dominance.
When you make it look like MVDP isn't even in the same race… you are exceptional amongst the exceptional.
That crash was bullshit. They need to come up with some kind of neutralization for that type of scenario in a 1 day race when SO many of the riders either crashed or were blocked by the crash. That's just unfair. (Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know "that's racing"… but it's still bullshit.

It's an amazing luxury to be able to stream from home on a Sunday morning history being made by one of the best riders the sport has ever seen. I've ridden la Redoute, much slower. It's beautiful to see him fly.
This is a reason why MVDP, as good as he is, and I am a fan, is not the modern day Eddy Merckx, as I've seen some post in the recent past. I think Pog is as close to that standard as anyone in the peloton right now, but no one will ever really be the new Eddy Merckx. There can be only 1.
Of the last 22 monuments 12 have been won by either MVdP or Pogacar.
We are living in a sort of Nadal/ Federer/ Djokovic era of cycling.

Was MVDP too deep in the group when Pogi attacked? He wasn’t even visible in the shot. You’d think he would be in position for such a potentially critical spot along the course. Or am I mistaken and he wasn’t yet in that group?
