Philipsen was faster but in a bad place
Philipsen should’ve been more aggressive he was too complacent and lenient meaning he got boxed in
Hookless madness at 3:15 ?
Good job on Alpecin, Philipsen was never in the sprint
I'm a fan of whoever beats Philipsen, the dirtiest modern sprinter.
Merlier having a very solid season to date. Great job.
Looked like Tim was just headed home after he finished at 5:18
Well-timed from Merlier, Jasper was boxed in and unable to react.😮
everyone is happy when philipsen looses
Why is the picture quality so bad? Same s*it I get on the discovery+ app.
Easy to see Jasper is the fastest sprinter at the moment
That was a matter of better timing and positioning, definitely not being fastest! Fastest was clearly Jasper, just unfortunate positioning in the end!!
Tim merlier carrying quicksteps season……..again !.as for jasper he got beaten by the better man…..Grande !
1:36 I knew the man was basically a demi-god, but leading a pro cycling race at his age without prior experience is incredible for even Lionel's standards
Congratulations, Merlier! He overpowered everyone.
Merlier – What a drive to the finish🙌🙌🙌
Merlier only won the sprint due to blocking Philipsen…a stroke of luck
Great leadout by van Poppel!
The rider he was supposed to lead out, Welsford was nowhere near his wheel, so he basically helped Merlier to the detriment of a Bora result, but great leadout nonetheless… 😄
So many crashs, hope they are okay. Glad to see some competition in sprints
That was intense. At 3:30 you can see Tim (and other quick-step guys) knocking the Bora sprinter off the wheel of his lead-out guy. And then that Bora lead-out guy did a PERFECT job (aside from not having his sprinter with him anymore) – giving Merlier a great leadout.
Jasper is still the fastest in the world…period. Even when boxed in, he got out, blew past Dylan and then rolled right up on Tim like he was 3 mph slower
Philipsen is definitely not the fastest in the world anymore. But what a luxury for Belgium, having two of those fast men.
I forget what race it was that i saw Melier win his first race of the year but from that point on I've been saying "MERLIER IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH THIS SEASON!!!" I love nothing more than seeing Jasper lose!! Hes quick, i dont take that from him but Melier is looking like hes gonna take some races from Jasper this season
🤘🏻🏴
Lol at all these Merlier fanboys saying he's fastest just because he finished first. Could have been someone cranking it in the middle of the peloton that was way faster, we'll never know.
