Day 30 biking across the US. Illinois has been flat, quiet, and consistent. Overall great riding experience. We talked to a couple guys from Germany going east to west and they must’ve had 30 more pounds of gear than us. The weather wasn’t too hot and I think I handle the humidity pretty well. We just get super sweaty when we stop or have a tailwind.

Thats so cool. Much love from Canada.
Trees don't grow around power lines. They're trimmed by the power company to prevent the tree limbs from touching wire and arcing, causing a fire and power outage
Not much common sense in this one

A most excellent journey. Be safe, treat motor vehicles like they're predators 👍👍

It’s a $10,000 fine if the power co don’t trim them. I was a tree climber for 30y
Just realized we have the same bike!
Wide shoulders and tailwinds to you both. Road across USA in ‘96 with my mom and dad. Hands down the bed trip of my life! Keep it up.
If you haven’t done it already, RAGBRAI in July is a great ride across Iowa. Supported ride with 1000’s of cyclists.
Very cool. I drive thru this same area every week while at work, thought it looked familiar 😂
