Looking for something to do in Rome to escape the crowds? Whether you spend a day or a week in Rome, This will be the greatest adventure you will have. This is an epic e-bike ride from Circus Maximus to Via Appia Antica and through the Roman Aqueducts. The ride takes about 2 hours but plan for 4 so you will have time to explore and even grab a bite to eat. The ride is 17 miles but on an e-bike the ride is very easy, you may not even break a sweat. Upload the app Komoot that is free to use in Rome and the Easy Bike Rental located at Circus Maximus will send you a link to the rout. Komoot gives very detailed guidance so you will not get lost. Just be sure you have a charger with you some you can charge your phone if needed or have it on a backup phone so you wont stress if your phone dies. Along the way there are several places you can stop for water, snacks and bathrooms.

New Title and thumbnail "Mr. Bean Tells Rome's Secrets"
such a beautiful ride! 10/10 for the e-bikes
pretty impressed with how smooth the video was because that's a bumpy ride.
Twenty years younger and I be there loved the conversation with Mr Bean
If only I had a passport…. Looks like my kinda fun! I especially enjoyed the pizza oven and the jail commentary.
Cool! Better than Rick Steves. I would love to see a vlog on all the places shown in one of my favorite movies: Roman Holiday. All the best.
Thanks for taking us on this vicarious adventure! Looks like fun!
This looks like a fun ride. Put this on our list for Rome May 2024!
So cool, so wonderful.
Slow down..tell us a few things.
Thank you for sharing this!
What if we wanted to stop at the catacombs? Does the bike rental store have locks that go with the rental?
This ride your doing is exactly what I had planned to do. Thank you for confirming it was doable!
