A bully dog shot dead by police after it launched a savage attack on two men was “happy and begging for treats” moments before it turned.
The dog, called Zeus, can be seen in CCTV footage shared exclusively with the Record as he enters a local shop with his owner.
In the clip, Zeus is shown wagging his tail and jumping up to the counter before he is fed a biscuit.
His owner – named locally as William Hunter – is also seen patting the dog’s head.
The video, taken just before 5pm Tuesday, was captured just minutes before Zeus mauled Hunter and another man on two separate Hamilton streets.
Hunter, believed to be in his late 40s, was attacked on Tinto View in the town. He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious lower limb injuries. His current condition is unknown.

Pretty sure she was giving it something to eat 😂 it was wagging its tail it looks a young and the owner seems pretty under control of it while in the shop.
Important information missing from this story . This dog was rescued 2 weeks before . So any dog owner knows that something triggered it to attack . Unfortunately more evidence of mistreatment of these types of dogs
A wagging tail means excitement not being friendly. You can see wolves kill a deer with "happy" wagging tails.
99% of dog owners know nothing about dogs.
