How to CHANGE the ENGINGE OIL of a ROYAL ENFIELD METEOR 350cc (including ENGLISH SUBTITLES)

Today I will be showing you how to change the engine oil of a Royal Enfield 350. So, I will show you the Royal Enfield. The first thing to keep in mind, before doing this is that, both the engine and ignition, of the motorbike, should be cool.

You should only do services to the bike, when it is cool. And, before changing the oil, turn the ignition, and keep the motorbike on for around 10 to 15 seconds. And, give it a bit of a rev/race. And, once you have done that, turn the bike off.

This is so that the oil can get a bit warm, therefore, it won’t be as difficult to get out. Make sure that, the oil that you are using is of high quality. So, I will be using this oil, as you can see. To drain the oil, you must firstly open these two nuts,

To then remove this clip. So, I will show you how to do this. To help you open the oil filter, you will need an allen key. Also, to open the nuts, to drain the oil, you will need a 8mm spanner. 8mm This is the new filter, which you can easily purchase online.

And, this is how it looks. Again, to remind you, to open the nuts, to drain the oil, you must use an 8mm spanner. 8mm. So, now I will be opening the two nuts. So, once you have removed the nuts, you can remove the clip too.

And, as you can see, the oil will start to drain out. So, I have just removed the clip. This has a filter, which we must remove. By rotating it, clockwise, sorry anti-clockwise, you can remove the filter. Okay? This is the filter. Now, you must, using your allen key, open these three nuts.

These are the nuts, you must unscrew. After doing this, you must put something underneath, because, the oil will start to drain instantly. If not, then the oil will get everywhere. So, you must open this, like described. So, now I have opened this, and now we can see the oil filter, that is underneath.

So, now we must remove it. As you can see, I have removed the filter. Okay? Now, we will install the new filter. So, again, this is the filter, which can easily be purchased online. This is how it looks. And you just need to, simply, install it, like this. Okay?

So, this is now fitted in. And now, we will need to, put the clip back on. So, as you can see, I have put the clip back on. So now, we must also put the clip, which we removed earlier, back on too and then, we will put the new oil in.

The oil will need to be inserted through here, okay? The engine oil. So, the filter that we removed, earlier, we will need to fit back in too. By inserting it like this, you will need to rotate it clockwise. As you can see, it is in.

Once you have done that, you will also need to refit the clip, which we removed earlier too. As you can see, the clip, which we removed earlier, has been fitted back on. We will now be putting the engine oil in, through here. I have opened this,

And, I’m just going to put this to the side, for a moment. I have actually created this myself, to put the engine oil in. This just makes it easier. By inserting it like this, it will be so much easier to pour in the oil.

And just make sure, that you keep an eye on this reader, there is a small mirror fitted into this. The bottom line, tells you the minimum, whereas, the top line, tells you the maximum. We need to pour the oil, until it reaches the maximum level.
