At the Cycling Ireland Awards Night in November 2016 Richie Byrne was inducted to the Hall of Fame, acknowledging and recognising his contributions to the sport of Mountain Biking in Ireland. Widely recognised as the “Godfather” of MTB in Ireland, Richie passed away in October 2016 from a short illness, this video was played at the Awards Dinner as a tribute to him.
