In this video we review the Cyrusher FR100 Folding mountain bike. The mountain bike has 27 gears and is a very smooth ride. It folds in the middle so this can be an ideal space saver when storing. With and aluminium frame its robust and light. It has 27 gears with a shimano gear set and front and rear shimano disc brakes. We review and put the bike through its paces at the local park. Hello my name is Martin welcome back to another video you are I’m James James it’s absolutely thrown it down but we’re here to do another review of another product now uh this is the last of the product reviews we’re going to do we got sent three things the ebike the

Little scooter and today we’re going to review a folding mountain bike uh it’s by sa rushia uh and it’s a nice looking little bike to be honest with you Jimmy’s here hoay yeah dude I could have brought my bike we could have rode together what

You brought the dog yeah we need to walk and he’s got his rain coat on so as always we unbox it quite easily and we’ll show you a quick brief view of us putting it together o that’s it and it come as always it comes with full instructions and a

Little tool kit as well to put it all together but like I said this is the last of the reviews we were doing we have to get we’ve got some good gear now and then like I say in summer we’re going to be able to go out aren we yeah we the plan

Is to ride up here up the Rockdale canal and go to Ed bridge is it that’d be decent that be yeah if you could make it yeah well you have you’ll have an ebike so you’ll be absolutely fine I’ll have a normal bike as you can see that way to

Hen bridge and Yorkshire I hope there’s no rain on the lens because it’s raining it’s like fine rain through yeah yeah now I must admit folding mountain bike made me nervous cuz the whole idea that a mountain bike is supposed to take punishment and but yeah it folds in the middle yeah but

It’s we’ve had a bit of r in it so far yeah and it seems to be pretty sturdy on it it’s a it’s a big piece of metal it’s got that massive joint on it where it’s been welded it as I say it shuts up in a

Gates gate mechanism with a big clamp on it stiff but you’re saying that’s a good thing well it’s stiff to open and close this latch here up we’ve had to just loosen that slightly cuz you do want a tight good um locking mechanism on it

This opens as you can see there and it does that and then it just just bend it round slightly James let stop there you go see so it bends around there and then the bank and then you see the bank folds like that and so much better for me and him for

Storage but that’s how how folds there and there’s where it pivots round there with your little catch on so it does actually fold up into half its size now it’s set for me the height of the seat is set for me he’s having this So eventually he will raise the seats yeah

Right but it is set for me so we we know but get on it and there’s no mud guards there’s no mud guards now so get on it and then off you off your pop yeah easy where we going where where do you want to go do you follow

Us right so off go how’s it feel nice yeah right so sorry it’s a bit dark the light was failing anyway this thing has got a 27speed Shimano gear system front and RAR suspension and um Shimano mt200 front and front and rear disc breaking um so we were very impressed with the

Ride quality it’s also got the uh unlocking mechanism on the back wheel there so you can fast unlock the uh the rear wheel and it’s also got it on the front as well you can unlock the front wheel as well and but if you Tu the

Wheels off and you’ve hold this thing up it’s there some serious space havving going on the seat is quite comfy as you can see and altogether it was a very nice ride so like you said they got the you got the cobbly bit and when you you’re

Going over it’s got suspension you it’s not so it’s like when you’re going over it’s like not just bouncing up and down so it’s not not bad this suspension something new to you well I can never afford suspension it’s either a suspension or not right so we’re at Foxy

Park which means nothing to anyone if you’re not from round here but we’ve gone from the canal you’ve rode it from the canal along the road and into the park what you reckon was it a nice ride yeah nice what do you think it retails

Out this bike um you got a clue so normally it’s $699 uh but on the website it’s currently going for $399 so that’s almost 200 quid yeah I’ll double check that I will double check that if that’s wrong I I’ll cuz we’re out with the park at a minute I’ve just

Looked at the website 399 now I’m going to be honest my bike my Tre Hybrid cost me 575 um this is a mountain bike and it’s a folding mountain bike normally you’d pay a lot more than that it’s placed in the market so we just say that it’s

Placed in the market but to be honest with you it’s an affordable folding mounting bike yeah it is so I’m liking the spokes on it red and white spokes like I say I’ll show you those gears again I think we think it’s 27 gears cuz there’s nine there and there’s um three

There you can just see the other one down there down there one there and then one there um that’s where it folds uh comes with reflectors front and rear don’t come me lights don’t come in mards so presume you can buy those on the website or you can just buy them anyway

Can’t you from anywhere really right I’m going to have a goal so M’s going to have a go now we we didn’t have any stabilizers but he’s going to have a try if it falls over I’ll make sure to film it I’m going to try and rig a camera

Onto it for you so you can see me hello hello right so I have had a little ride on it so I’m going to go around the Bowling Green now so James if you can film me right it that is smooth isn’t it you know what it’s nice like I just

Said to you on that camera it feels really nice do it and it’s comfortable and you’ve got that suspension and like I just said I don’t know obviously these some of these companies are relatively new companies to the market so whether what the longevity is on this thing you know the

Jew ability and everything but that is a cracking little ride we got to criticized on the last one for saying all good stuff but it’s just nice stuff it’s really nice and it does the job um but with all these things time will tell maybe we should do a update you know s

Rusher one year down the line when we’ve cycled all over the place on it right so what we need to do now is the uphill Challenge and you’re probably thinking why uphill challenge when it’s not an ebike but we’re going to test out the gearing cuz I need to tell you about the

Gearing on this this Thing right so opal challenge my apologies if any raindrops gets on the lens but uh it is raining quite a bit here right so I’m in the second of the big Cog and I’m in level gear five of the little Cog I’ll show you what I mean

In a minute so I’m going to go uphill in the Park it’s a bit of an uphill not too bad now I’m going to hit a hill so I’m going down a gear here stay there that’s all right that you know and down again cuz it’s getting a little bit

Difficult right as you can see there weren’t massive Hills in the park but enough just to be a to test out the gearing system and it’s very very low geared so if you’re going up some hills you can seriously get some low gears on this obviously I’m not an expert but I

Know the gearing system is pretty low on this um and it’ll go right through so you can achieve some speed on the flat as well there’s the dimensions of the bik bike you can pause that if you need to I’ve um screenshotted that from the sa Russia website now if I’ve got a

Criticism of this bike it’s these cables that are exposed here so most of the way the cables are lined as they should be but then occasionally they are just bare exposed cables and I would imagine when you’re um cycling and you’re going through mud and water and stuff you’ll

These will get caked in mud and I’d be worried about them getting um you know corroding so that that’s my one criticism it’s only a minor point but I just thought I’d mentioned that to be balanced so like with the uh crazy bird we’ve got the the pedals are quite good

Uh it’s got those ridges on can you see um normally I remember when I bought my first mountain bike I had to buy custom pedals that had those little grippy ridges on there can you see them there the light’s starting to fade cuz we’re in December and it’s going uh dark

Now in the afternoon but it’s got those grippy pedals on which are quite nice uh like I say disc brakes front and rear uh Shimano Gears right so we’re back with a more normal video uh this weekend out with are we we’ve yet to film it’s not out about the video we’re doing a podcasty type thing oh yeah yeah yeah and reviewing the year yeah so that is the last now of the products unless we get

Offered another ebike or folding ebike in the spring you won’t see any more now so there you go thanks for bearing with us with the doing these product reviews that these bikes are very useful for us cuz we can go out and do things can’t we

Like I say the sa Russia FR 100 and that’s the last review we’ll do thanks for watching we’ll see you at the weekend with a normal video so from Fox Denton Park thanks for watching this little review we’ll see you soon at the weekend any a bit bye bye from bye from Timmy

    1. I was hoping you would put out a video before Christmas 2023 and you didn't fail.
I like your videos as they are not just you walking around and videoing yourself, but you put a lot of work into each video and a lot of this work is done in the background which we don't see.
So catch you on your next video and in 2024 for more of the cracking stuff you put out.
      Best Wishes.
      Colin.

    2. A nice folder MB I've seen them hand one out elsewhere shame they won't send me one, I'm not working and had a decent one stolen a couple of years ago, Police did NOTHING I had to buy a cheap one to replace it. However at nearly £400 isn't bad for front & rear suspension and disk brakes. Hey Cyrusher any chance of sending me one?

    3. Martin you could do product reviews on something as mundane as a toilet plunger and still make it worth watching, all your videos are tops. 👍👍👍 Have a fantastic Christmas / Holiday.

    4. There is just something about a full suspension bike that is in a whole other league when it comes to comfort. Been riding a Rocky Mountain RMX 2.0 2006 since it came out and so many people questioned why Id ride something so heavy as it comes in at 59lbs. Then I let them try it out and it blows their mind how nice it is.. LOL That thing is nearly 20 years old. So bikes like this and the tech they have in it, like geometry, suspension and brakes are 100x better then what you used to get for that price. This bike your reviewing is about 4 x cheaper then that RMX but still looks like it would be a decent rig to roll around on. Not sure how it would compete cause they are 2 totally diff style bikes. But still, great vid dudes!

    5. Merry Christmas guys, nice video, my road bike is out of action for a while so I've nicked my son's mountain bike, done over a thousand miles on it so in the new year I'll be after a hybrid.

    6. I would like to wish Martin and the team, including Timmy, a fantastic Christmas, and a great New Year. Thank you all for brightening my year with your wit and humour. As a bonus I have learnt things about my area I never previously knew. Thank you all.

    7. Hi Martin.

I've been following your site for quite a while so it's interesting to see you do a bike review for a change.

If you're interested in a small folding eBike, take a look at the SMF Saxonette Compact Comfort Plus. I picked mine up at an RV show several years ago and it's really not bad for a small 3-speed pedelectric. The pedelectric is different from the typical eBike as you have to pedal it to engage the motor. This difference means it avoids any license fees which are often associated with true eBikes.

Mine has the internal 3-speed Shimano hub, however there are small folding bikes available with a 7-speed derailleur gear sets too.

Since this particular bike has no suspension the ride can be a bit jarring. But I found a good Brooks spring seat has managed to resolve that issue. There are also shock seat posts which will help make the ride a bit smoother. While it is not really intended for off-road use, I have taken mine on unimproved, rough dirt roads through farms and countryside without any issues. It proven to be quite sturdy and robust.

Actual performance range on a single charge is around 60km (37 miles) which isn't too bad. Best part is, when folded, its small enough it will fit in the back of a VW Tiguan without having to fold the rear seat down. I wanted a small folding bike as it eliminates the need for an external bike rack which makes transporting it even easier and more secure since the bike is locked away inside the vehicle.

Anyway, just one more to consider.

      Cheers!

      Swiss

    8. Another braw bike you have reviewed. Well done doing it in the rain. Lovely to see Timmy and his master James. But no cup of tea with the review especially on a rainy dreary day🤔. Thank you again for fab entertainment. Been a fabulous year travelling along with you. Much happiness and good health in 2024.

    9. Wishing you and all the team a merry Christmas and a happy new year and thanks for all the memorable videos you have done this year 👏👏👏🧑‍🎄🎄🎅

    10. Glad you mentioned no mudguards, I'd never ride without in the UK. Also as long as you are riding in summer you dont need lights. Have a good Christmas and New Year

    11. I am a cycling snob, as I'm an ex road racer with a carbon fibre frame and top end Shimano gears. But that bike looks great fun and for the price it is brilliant !

    12. Cables are always deliberately exposed on straight sections to cut down on friction, making shifting (& braking) easier, look at any mountain bike in Hellfords & they'll have the same. Lubing the cables where they pass through the outer keeps them moving & rust-free
