For a decade one event in Wales in the UK has pushed the world’s best Riders and their equipment to the very edge of what’s possible on two wheels now we travel literally to the other side of planet Earth for the next evolution of the world’s most Progressive down hill race one maybe [Applause]

More this I promise you will be something very special Yeah this is Red Bull Hardline Australia hello good afternoon and welcome to the island of Tasmania we’re just off the South Coast of Australia and we’re about to start 20124 with a bang after a decade being only on the Hallowed Ground of North Wales Red Bull Hardline has a new venue

I’m Rob Warner I’m a little bit excited about this afternoon as is this man next to to meet Elliot Jackson a long time coming but this is going to be something very special this afternoon right I think you put it perfectly Rob this is the culmination of 10 years of hard work

It’s incredible to be here in Tasmania my first time and just amazing to see the effort and pride the locals have put into building this incredible track a beautiful track and of course the progression that we’ve seen over those 10 years since that first one in Wales

In 2014 where 30 35 Riders turned up we only had seven of them left people Landing in trees by the time we got to the final I mean the sport has certainly moved on and this is very much a testament to that it is insane when you

Think about it because there’s 70 foot jumps here 60ft drops and the Riders don’t even bat KN Ronan dun’s bike got lost he walked the track finally got his bike and he just followed somebody down ticked off every single obstacle first run that’s just incredible thrown and

Done yeah yeah which one is it well anyway this event was one man’s Vision that became this incredible reality and he’s with Brianna mcsh thanks Rob I am here with the brains behind Red Bull Hardline Dan Aon Dan you started this back in 2014 where did the concept come

From um you know Red Bull came to us and said if you can do anything any event what would it be and you know we sat down and we back and two and you know we came up with this idea of just having a raw downhill race and you know one of

The hardest courses in the world you know really the Riders top to bottom 10 years later and we are here on the other side of the world in Tasmania what’s the like to see this come to life here in tazzy I think from day one Red Bull Hardline has been all about progression

You know um you know the from the Riders progressing themselves to the course Builders pushing the limits of what’s possible so you know this course here in Tasmania is it’s long it uses natural features you know huge man-made features as well so you know you know the Riders

Are loving it but at the same time they’re all really really nervous you mentioned all the big features and that is what we love about Red Bull Hardline but how tough are those technical in between features going to be for the Riders yeah this course here in Tasmania

Is you know it’s a real downhill Riders course you know you can see the World Cup guys they’re kind of thriving and yes there’s huge features but the kind of the features are relatively easy and it’s the bits between the Rocks The Roots that’s where the time going to be

Made thanks Dan and the Riders are loving this course Rob everyone is loving this course of course I am laughing because Dan said what the features are quite E sure sure yeah of course they are absolutely but you know three and a half months ago the build

Team here got the green light to go and what they have created what they’ve carved behind us is amazing isn’t it well I think it’s one of the things that’s really special about this is you have these worldclass Riders Darcy cots who was supposed to be starting but had

Had a big collar bone break backer May wild and they’ve been they’ve moved so much dirt and because they had this crew Darcy running it um they kind of section it up so you have these almost three different tracks top is really steep really sandy middle gets really long and

Then the bottom it just opens up into this incredibly fast Riders saying they’ve never hit a jump that fast you’re just tucking waiting to go off of these Cannon size jumps it’s incredible wasn’t it it’s just been amazing to be stood up there and watching unlock this course the speed into those last

Features is like nothing I’ve ever seen and of course there’s two riders that are going to be taking pushing definitely for the win today let’s take a lap with them now yeah what’s up everyone we’re here at Red Bull Hardline Tasmania and we’re about to drop in for your GoPro course

Preview of the track 3 2 1 let’s go and now we’re on for the big boy into the next big jump we’re coming into the highway section just shortly here but got to make it through a bit of hard SE hard sections or else it won’t be hard

Line so the speed through this is crazy it’s called backers highway I don’t know if you can hear me cuz the wind but we’re flying so good that section 60 ft off this one maybe more how’s the wind looking it’s all righto and Tuck the whole way down last jump

Here yeah boy yeah come on there we are there’s your GoPro course preview ladies and gentlemen oh my goodness got the wind perfect there that was amazing well you can hear just how ened there in their voices and you know quite rightly so it starts like you say

Pretty technical they get to that first big drop and then it just opens up and gets faster I’ve been riding a long time I raced a long time I’ve been on this side of the tape for a pretty long time and I’ve never heard such unanimous

Approval for a track like that the way that they’re yelling and yipping all the way down I wouldn’t be surprised if they sound the same like on their race run absolutely of course well let’s have a look then who’s taking part today we’ve got some women on the start list as well

Actually Gracie hem Street and uh Luis Ferguson have done the entire track top to bottom making some real history it was Gracie who did it first the first two women ever to complete a Red Bull Hardline track Matt Jones the mountain bike brand the YouTuber one of the

Greatest slope star Riders he’s been here all week having an amazing time back to mayw there part of the build crew all the way from South Africa too erl langson Dan Booker keep an eye on him this afternoon the man from just down the road in Hobart he’s the Dark Horse

Chaos Seagrave Brook MacDonald on a new bike Lorie greenand back to full strength ronand done and then we go to the last three Jackson Goldstone George branagan and and excuse me fastest qualifier of course burn who else who else and yesterday we had qualifying but the weather I mean I

Don’t know how much we can read into it really Elliot because the weather was incredibly changeable today it’s gone back to being unbearably hot yesterday though it was unbearably cold high winds a lot of rain it was difficult right yeah I mean it’s changing all the time

Like here we are we got in here and it was overcast and things like that and next minute like as you can see here it’s dusty and then it rains it’s super super slick you can see all the kind of slime on the rocks and that’s what that

Was what the Riders were really struggling with to see Matt Jones kind of hit his front tire slide out and then this kind of layer of slime is what the Riders are dealing with they said this morning it was almost unridable at the top you know Jim Monroe doing a full 360

On some of it so I think that that is what we’re going to be looking for watch this bumblebee on you oh but but austral the sun is out yeah you can’t trust any of the insects around here but you know the sun is out now and it is wet up at

The top the rest of the track’s good but this is meaning that it’s going to dry those last three those last five Riders they are going to be the faster day this should build absolutely perfect let’s have a look then at those top three from qualifying yesterday and in third place Jackson

Goldstone perhaps a little bit surprised to be back down the order what do you think well I think at one point I kind of was like is he what is he kind of doing is he sussing it up I think with Jackson he always is so smooth and so

Del you can’t really tell George branagan a man who can great to see him putting the run together that we know he’s capable of Elliot oh man he’s you see him riding Queens sound he has this incredible Corner speed really really good at jumping kind of one of the OG

Downhill riders that you would think would Excel on a track like this but fastest qualifier again Bernard Kerr going for his fourth Red Bull Hardline win here today it’s going to be a tall order but he is going to be running right gting for it there’s aoup coup of

Uh couple of gaps that he’s doing that nobody else is doing classic Bernard style I’ll Point them out to you he wants to win this more than anyone else he does all smiles all fun it’s all business behind the goggles here he is with Bri thanks Rob I here with the king of

Red Bull Hardline Bernard Kerr Bernard you have won this event three times before what’s it like to be here for the first edition in tazzy oh it’s awesome honestly it’s unreal it’s so different to Wales but it really is a true Hardline super high speed it’s so

Treacherous today with the rain we had yesterday huge jumps it’s uh it’s honestly an honor to be raced my bike in Tasmania we’re all joking about it on the uplift it’s pretty crazy to be over here doing this you were the fastest qualifier but you did look surprised

When you found out what was your reaction when you found out you went fastest um I was honestly stoked I thought I rode a bit smooth I had a really really tidy run yesterday cuz I got a bit sketchy at the top it was wet and we hadn’t practiced too much in that

So yeah it was a really nice run I didn’t think the intensity was quite there but yeah Stoke just got to do the same against today you missed out on the four Pat in 2022 it was cancelled last year is this a chance for you to get a

Bit of redemption oh I hope so it’s been a long time last year I was devastated when it got cancelled I was really upset actually and I’ve still not watched 2022 back yet cuz hurt too much so I’ve never watched that back so uh yeah we’re going

To try and make it happen today thanks Bernard best of luck thank you very much and of course interesting him throwback to last year in Wales he was the fastest qualifier he is going to want Redemption today right yeah I mean he laughs like you said he smiles but he put so much

Pressure on himself I was there in 2022 like after the race and he was I he was devasta it was purely Devastation and so this race means a lot this is his chance to finally get that fourth Hardline win that’s right he’s all in on it and of

Course the equipment has had to try and keep up with the evolution the progression of these courses is burnard and his race bike for today I prefer this every day of the week it’s so fun to ride dude you got these massive Cliff drops into like sick

Jumps that you can stee in practice and just gnarly up there it has everything you want a balance bike especially on stuff like this when you’re going so fast and such big hit so we’ve balanced the front fork with the shock we’ve gone up four PSI from 90 to

94 and again we’ve slowed both of the rebounds down one click just to hopefully keep it settled in the travel when you land you don’t want to rebound off the dirt there’s a shark F into the B and it’s kind of scary every time you come in you could roll your front tire

So I might even go up one more PSI come race day and you know the details one PSI I remember racing you know those those margins they mattered you will feel one PS yeah well I I’m really glad that he actually put some numbers to it because when Riders say they’re testing or

Tweaking their bike that’s what they’re tweaking you could imagine how many tweaks you could actually do if one PSI or one click a rebound makes that big of a difference absolutely and of course Bernard is chasing his his fourth Hardline win one young woman who made history was Gracie hem Street the first

Ever woman to complete a top to bottom of a Red Bull Hardline track here she is with Bri thanks Rob I am here with the first woman to complete a fullrun top to bottom Gracie what was it like to take off all of the features it was awesome

Uh probably the best feeling on a bike ever yeah your first Red Bull Hardline what are your expectations for the race um to complete it and yeah hopefully hit the last jump just cuz the wind is pretty harsh right now and the ground is really tacky so

It’s running a bit slow today but we’ll see you grew up in a bite Park in Canada and you look so comfortable on those big jumps what’s the most challenging aspect of this course for you uh probably like the technical Rock drops and yeah I don’t know it’s it’s fun yeah thanks

Gracie good luck yeah thank you yeah absolutely unbelievable it’s been actually incredible to see the progression of the women as as well who I believe most of them have jumped everything except that last jump L Ferg in the very last practice this morning has jumped it as well Gracie if her

Ankle’s holding up and L are going to start in Hardline today and I you say like if her ankle holds up so you saw in that in that little video we just watched the person that had that huge crat that was Gracie like it shows you

Like she’s just in good spirits that was this morning shows you how how tough these downhill athletes are and um I can’t wait to see them do these jumps put down the first Hardline runs it’s going to be incredible and here’s a question for you going back to 2022 the last time it

Ran burnard crashed in the first 203 seconds of the track Jackson won Jackson’s winning time was 3 seconds quicker than Bernard who was the fastest qualify his time again Bernard afterwards very publicly announced to everyone that he had that 3 seconds that if he’d got down he would have won

What’s going to happen a day this this is like a mouth water inos rob you just laid out this perfect dramatic series of events that we’re about to see I cannot wait to see what’s going to happen and it’s going to be an amazing show for all

Of us it comes to this point right here right now Red Bull hard mut line Australia is upon us stay with us it’s coming up right after this Break pump up your tires for the bike content on Red Bull TV and check out the best Live Events feature films and shows download the Red Bull TV app for free and sign in to watch all of our content offline download the app Now 6 ft off this one maybe [Applause] More hello good afternoon and welcome to Australia here for the first ever Red Bull Hardline Tasmania we’re on the island just south of Australia I’m Rob Warner alongside Elliot Jackson we’ve been waiting for this one to come the first ever Red Bull Hardline outside of the Walsh venue and it is delivering

Amazing the practice the riding so far this week has been absolutely incredible Elliot look at the crowd the crowd is out we’ve been hearing him cheer all the way down in the pits and uh it’s going to be an amazing time here in Tasmania it absolutely is yep so many fans have

Made their way here to the 26th largest island on the planet and look at the start list Gracie hem Street will be the first woman to drop Louis Anna Ferguson right after her the two women that have completed this course top to bottom Louise actually just managing it right

Before we went with the live with the racing here Reed bogs all the way from Red Bull Rampage out a top three finish there Vincent Tupin one of the biggest Free Riders on the planet Dan Booker watch out for him this afternoon a man from Hobart some big results here in the

Past at the ews is Brooke McDonald out on a new bike Lori Greenland looking back to his old self Ronan dun the man on everybody’s lips some more French Riders of course before we go to Jackson Goldstone George branagan and then fastest qualifier Bernard ker who will

Be the last to drop and it has been an incredible week actually seeing these women tackle the courses here T Seagrave is in the commentary box with us T and I know you’re absolutely gutted right to have done every feature to tick it to unlock the whole course accept that last

Jump this morning yeah Rob I am I am gutted you know it’s um it’s pretty hectic up there and it took ah it took so much to take everything off so to have just one feature left and not be able to drop in is is a bit Bittersweet

But you know watching Gracie drop in and Louise as well I think it kind of evens it out yeah it’s going to be good this so here is Gracie hem street you were uh you were saying that it was it was so hard to kind of tick

Off all those jumps because the wind was so inconsistent is it yeah it’s been like the first day was insane we had such good weather and I think we didn’t really realize we got a bit carried away with a nice weather and forgot that actually you know that could change

Everything for us so and everything did change yesterday and put it into a little bit of a bottleneck this morning high pressure Gracie though was the first woman to complete the entire track the former overall World Cup winner in 2022 of the junior category I believe

Won five of the eight races there but no surprising right she lives in a bike park Coast Gravity Park she’s used to riding big jumps I imagine but unbelievable see this young woman what she’s doing here yeah we were super hyped to get Gracie involved cuz she was

Originally uh going to be a wild card and then replaced gra uh Casey Brown who’s also a free rider but we thought she’s got everything all the skills that you need to tackle a course like this and she’s proved herself all week it’s been amazing to watch and she’s actually

Towed me into a lot of stuff this week so I feel like you know I’ve got the older brain and she’s got like the younger one and she just fully goes for it with no fear so it’s been really nice to balance out and actually watching now

This is so much dryer than it was this morning I have to say that this morning for the Riders it was so wet and so difficult someone actually used the word unridable the top section to me they said it was so so slippery and I mean

Watching this course now as you say it’s dry and it’s going to dry more and more as we go to the fastest qualifi so this race should shape up nicely as the afternoon unfolds and Tony where is the time made up on a track like this we heard Dan talking about these sections

In between is there bits of cruxs or is it everywhere where do you kind of focus on that’s incredible and this one that’s the one she crashed on so that’s really nice to see her G 17 M across that yeah but um sorry OT I got too excited

There oh no the time the time’s actually made where she is now like sections like this so I’m gutted cuz I got this section so fast and I was having to break behind a lot of people I was following so I think these are the type

Of sections where it’s going to be one or lost for sure cuz the features you all kind of hit at the same P backers freeway we’re on now this big long run down through the uh Fern fern trees all the way down absolutely amazing so much different vegetation down this course

Different soil types as well not that it’s a geology lesson I I know you have stats no but that’s that’s true cuz it’s really wet going through there and then you come out and it’s all of a sudden well it’s not wet anymore but this morning it was really greasy was it even

This section was yeah and she’s about to pop out and it is just a dust ball you’ll see her come through here now and we couldn’t believe it it just changes so quick this off cber one of the trickier parts of the course T is it

Yeah well I think I think as down as we love it don’t we getting your foot out and just letting loose so yeah this section for me was my was my favorite I love seeing Gracie R she just has that style in the bike that she kind

Of knees in really deliberate about all of her lines never really gets too out of shape definitely we were saying that you know it’s so it’s such hard work up there that she said she was just going to cruise everything and you know the features are so big and so intimidating

You want to be really ready for them oh look at that straight out of that turn seventh overall in the elite World Cup last year actually her first year as an elite Rider but heading down now to the biggest features on the track right T it’s about to get very real yeah she’s

About to hit the container drop which is I think the biggest one maybe 65 ft so we TI that off on day one actually it’s uh it’s a incredible feeling but yeah I think when you get there with your arms pumping a feeling I’d only ever imagine

Look at it here we go then yeah good 63 through the air and this step down I believe is more like 7075 ft that’s 20 M across there and now Gracie needs to tuck or do whatever she needs to do to get as much speed as she can for this

Finish Line job which is a solid 75 ft 25 M here she goes graci is sends it gra he makes it incredible 356 on the clock but that was insane to see a send that massive jump there wow that’s going to be Goosebumps that’s incredible after 10

Years of racing Hardline we finally got a girl witnessed the girl top to bottom and that’s incredible from Gracie amazing absolutely unbelievable congratulations Gracie riding with a bad ankle as well I saw her limping about this morning yeah she got that she did that this morning actually not from her

Crash um that we saw earlier but yeah into the highway it was so sticky she didn’t get the speed that she needed for one of the jumps so yeah did everything perfect absolutely one of the things I I want to point out like this is a it’s a

World Cup level track you know 4 minutes in and you have to pull for a 70t jump and hold on to the bars like look at how how much strength it takes to land off of something like that big p she was a death grip in there as well I’m not saw

I think the hands couldn’t right yeah because if you it’s either do I want to Breck or do I want to actually survive and now intimidate isn’t it running down to that last jump It’s un it looks like mad you’re going so fast yeah super fast

I think they were clocking 70k wow yeah so Louise Ferguson next to drop then lives in Queenstown from Fort William and she this last jump off within the last hour actually right yeah like I said we’ve been battling with like weather windows and we just didn’t realize it was going

To be so rushed so this morning we were trying really hard to tick everything off and I think it was a bit of you know roll of the dice to be honest and I’m not comfortable with something like that but I think she got a good window and

She went for it so here she is and here she is on track then Luis Ferguson all the way from Fort William in Scott as I said spends most of the time down here in the southern hemisphere had an amazing world cup season last year took a fourth at the world

Championships in Fort Williams Oh heavy off there and it’s so steep The Landing off there it doesn’t really show it there no and you’ve got to be really heavy on the brakes for the next section that’s what people don’t I think from the outside can’t see there’s a lot of

Technical breaking and like trying to get the right speed for the jumps is really hard especially when you’re trying to go fast in the race yeah they’ve done an amazing job with the course here good to see this bit dried out really tricky this yesterday

It is like you were saying rob it looks completely different from yesterday and then T like you were saying in practice it seems like it’s going to shape up and you know I also think about kind of the different skills you need it’s it’s interesting having uh Lis come from more

Of the crank Works background and then progressing into the World Cups and now this being kind of the combination oh oh big one for Lou then over the top of that BM there it is very slippery there this morning we were struggling a lot a lot of Riders went down there there’s a

Lot of um emptiness on the other side of that so hopefully she found a soft spot that was let’s have a look see what happened oh yeah it just gets tucked up and it’s it’s one of those ones you can see where the shadow is there is a just a probably

Just a shiny spot there where she thought that she was going to get traction but like you said R yeah there she is she’s back up good to see Lou then back on two wheels here she still of course got the pride of getting down this course yeah I can’t

Imagine it’s that fun crashing and then you can’t really roll down this now wouldn’t Ste me with confidence 10 me oh man big gap over the tree as well another massive Gap there that was the one that actually all of us agreed we were the most scared of that tree Gap

It’s really it’s a really super intimidating yeah and you’re coming off that massive drop and like coming around the bone with a lot of speed you have a yeah you literally are looking at the lip and you have a massive tree that you can’t roll it you

Can’t case it we saw a lot of cases on day one a lot of overshoots and a lot of cases I can’t believe how dry this is now no although I mean everything’s been pretty unbelievable weatherwise here two days ago it was I’ve never felt worse I

Think I had heat stroke it was so so hot and then yesterday I was reaching for a papa jacket in glasses it was like 5° above or something it was wild it was freezing yesterday I didn’t want to ride I didn’t ride cuz I yeah but it was

Difficult qualified session want it to be at the top as well in that I understand it was really cold up there too wet too windy too dangerous Hy what would you be what would you be thinking on a track like this like normally when

You crash in a race run it’s a bit of a different vibe you know but you get back up and um kind of what do you think is going through L’s mind right now I think she probably just wants to make it to the bottom safe um um obviously it’s

Just it is like it is a fun track there are some really fun features so I think she’ll be able to get back in the groove but I think that would have knocked her confidence a little bit for sure I had a crash in practice this morning and I

Knew I had to hit that big feature and I think you just get wound up in your head a little bit but she looks like she’s back on it the fast faster than Gracie actually through our key section keep an eye on that this afternoon by 500 so

Looking like she’s feeling okay again she’s putting all the Gap so yeah I think she’s still going for it oh wow tuck the front hard in there full front flip for Lou oh it is so easily done in there honestly is that’s where I crashed this morning it is just powder it is

Just so deep and powder it just grabs your front wheel without you even knowing yeah I talked to I was talking to Bernard and Connor Fen about that exact turn actually yeah oh L that was a big crash now I’m uh wondering what she’s going to do on the rest of I don’t

Think she’s crashed all week I know and I mean ironically there crashes that you you know it’s not like she’s gotten out of shape on the most gnarly bits there’s just these little you know well that’s the thing yeah everyone forgets that there’s these little things in between that actually matter yeah

Yeah yeah well she said that and here she comes into the Container 6 F cleanly across there is this shark finish this even this is one of the most difficult jumps wait L insane wait just had two crashes she’s to send it for the crowd for sure she’s

Tucking in Lou Ferguson has licked the stamp she’s going to send it she pulls up over my goodness for that Lou feron completes a full run of Red Bull Hardline wow wow wow they can be so proud of themselves that was H in the mouth stuff they certainly can try how

Does that make you feel tardy to see those two women come down I know you probably mixed emotions I am a bit gutted obviously but like Rob with we’ wanted to see women do this for for years and it’s taken me a lot to kind of

Get us to where we are and like it’s you know it’s but it’s been fun it’s been a fun process and getting together a group of girls that all feed off of each other and have different strengths and you know we’ve all towed each other into

Different features and oh my God look at that W OTV he’s like a cat but yeah we we just all fed off each other and really really helped each other so I think especially at this round we really surprised ourselves of how much we actually got done well I think it to me

Like having two crashes like that and still being able to do everything shows how easily you guys can do these jumps that the jumps are not the thing um so it it’s really impressive to see where you know this work to okay well we’ve got Lou down there with Bri over to you

Bri please congratulations you’ve just done top to bottom Red Bull Hardline how was that for you uh it feels incredible to be at the bottom oh is it not working oh oh is working oh yeah it was really good it was a bit spicy to be honest I

Came had a couple crashes but really happy to get to the bottom so yeah really St St for Gracie St for us we saw you make those crashes what went through your mind when you picked yourself back up again um yeah just questioning a couple things but um the crowd at the

Side of the chat was really nice and they were asking me if I was going to keep going so yeah just got back on my bike and yeah just meant so much to get to the bottom and go through the finish line so I’m glad I yeah I didn’t give up

And yeah I just start to get all done well done we’ll let you catch your breath thank well done indeed phenomenal scenes then at Red Bull Hardline two women only completing the course completing race runs here and this T said you know the sport is just progressing at such a rate

And it’s Gracie hem Street who leads now then with that 3 56.5 as we go to the top for Dennis laughman a 435 and qualifying I think it’s fair to say he was quite frustrated during his race run qu qual run yesterday yeah he had massive Mayes like

Not just one not just two I think he had a few I think in the end his goggles with the humidity had steamed up so hard he could actually see where he was going angry I think yeah he was from Bristol in the UK then been rating for well over

A decade coming up through the ranks the junior World Cup racer keeping it casual a day in denim don’t often see that yeah we used to have a couple of denim we got the denim Destroyer back in the day we could call him denim Den the Dennis Destroyer the Dennis

Destroyer Dennis is such a funny lad though he always has a good story to tell and yesterday him explaining his run was just so funny it was just like I said M after M but he seems to be be doing all right now turned up on his own

Canyon sender someone had a look at it and said that is unfit for purpose I think the lack of Maintenance we’re talking about so Dan Aon stepped in and L him his bike well he was a factory Rider on your team yeah well that’s the

Bike from when he was on our team Race so yeah that’s like a good few years old and that’s like Dennis luffman riding that I would like I wouldn’t trust that frame anymore and of course he’s been over in Queenstown he’s living there for the winter with Jim Monroe he’ll be

Coming up later living the life threading it through the trees that drop there 1 up but this split it doesn’t look much from this angle but when I walk the track it was one of the most horrendous things I’d ever seen with that big curbstone on it was like one of

The last things I ticked off was it really really scary completely blind really blind there’s just something right in the way all of these gaps are blind by the way like you cannot see the landing on any of them by the time you get to the end you’re you’re committed

You can’t turn back literally here is that backers Highway that we it’s really that first right hand turn is is where all this time is made up I was just about to say that right hand turn is what decides whether you’re going to make that road Gap into the

Highway or not so yeah and there’s no pedaling on this so once you’re in really hard to really pick up Speeders you have to pump get these jumps as good as you can I don’t think there is actually any pedaling now that I think about it on the whole track yeah well

Remy Remy Mort Morton hopes so because he started with no chain I’ll in a few ride of time as well so there hadn’t better be but someone said you need a couple off the big drop sometimes couple in at the top maybe you’re the expert here don’t let

Me put words in your mouth it was a is that key section this is kind of the most down hilly section couple little pops you can do cruising through it Ser 12.5 then through the key section that’s interesting to see him not do that Lily Pad yeah it seemed like to me

The landing was a little bit kind of flat and you could almost lose some speed on the landing if you didn’t have enough yeah I was I was stressing about that and then everyone was like oh we’re not even doing it oh just ke it’s like

Faster on the on the left look how quick it is down here it’s unreal watching them whistle through these turns you could you can hear them kind of break I love that we have the the audio for the breaks on all of these switch backs that’s a good angle of that drop

Hug huge off the shark fin then and now it’s going to be tucking all the way down this big Finish Line jump actually David McMillan I we’ll be watching tested it it was around 110 ft dur in tes he came up short on it wishing him a

Speedy recovery lman takes the lead with that 3 25.4 but people saying that that last jump actually it’s a shame it had been made smaller because earlier in the week we saw I think it was lay McDonald of course going like 120 ft over it and almost landed flat but then the wind

Changed it was their tailwind and now you know it’s about right it’s a RAC trck this needs to operate in race conditions I don’t think they’re wishing that it was bigger today with that with that headwind yeah everyone was like I barely barely made it but yeah it is we

See the this is kind of that Highway section so like itani said if you come out of that right hand or a couple of K too slow then that’s going to be speed for the next 15 20 seconds big drop off the container super super fun I feel like as soon as you

Come after after that you’re you’re relieved but also a bit nervous because you have the biggest jumps on the track coming up yeah I think they were saying that it’s nicer because you know then that you’ve got nothing you just hold on there’s no B that’s my only job Remy

Morton then the Australian resides in New Zealand actually signed for specialized this year running a pretty mad setup in my opinion a 26 in front wheel a 24 in rear wheel no chain and 135 mil cranks on her but pedaling is not a thing 135 135 I believe they hope

Kids cranks wait did you mention he’s got a 24 in wheel on the back 24 back in it 26 24 yeah that’s ridiculous and so I mean that kind of we saw that start a little bit in in Whistler the FF crew and he uh Remy has his own trail company

Now of Lux he’s just been loving like doing all these edits he loves riding BMX one of the best Trail Riders you’ve ever seen he told me he’s um has a really big build coming up and a big edit coming up so you just hear having

Fun but yeah he actually has no chain on purpose right now that’s right yep like makes some massive video parts and like he said he travels the world building Trails he gets to ride those Trails so it all kind of feeds back in for him

Yeah and I I love that you know all of these mountain bike athletes they’re starting things and doing things with all the expertise Remy was a really amazing Junior World Cup Rider um and so you see the skills and the expertise that he can bring to building world

Class trails and bringing that kind of expertise to everyone else who rides Ms had a massive crash in 2017 perhaps changing his Direction left the racing behind got more into the Free Ride sitting down there how physical is this track T to ride it’s crazy that’s like

The hardest part of it like connecting all these features everyone is dead by the time they get to where Remy is right now actually everyone says that their arms are just so tired like pumping through and it’s really hard to just focus on trying to get the jumps

Dialed giving the crowd what they want but look how small that real it looks like a it looks like a child’s breik yeah I think the Free Riders were most scared about doing a full run that’s what they were most nervous about was linking everything together well

Speaking of Reed bogs he said said I cannot remember this track Rampage is like what I know 30 seconds or a minute this is like 4 minutes 3 and a half minutes he was like it’s impossible to remember I can’t remember any of it I think it definitely does favor races cuz

Yeah we like to learn the track like within three runs I think everyone kind of knew where they would go it’s just so natural for us to kind of pick it apart absolutely yeah and it is of course very much a race Red Bull Hardline great to

Have some Free Riders here though and what they bring to the table some rumors going on about Reed bogs back flipping some stuff that’s the rumor yeah I wouldn’t be surprised let’s see oh I’m excited I don’t what one though huh I don’t know no that’s why would work out

Either onto the camera then for Remy Morton this is just so incredible is there a catch burn there on the left as we look at it and then you flip back up as you come into the off I think we’ll see a couple of different lines I saw Brook take a inside there

Yesterday this is kind of where we see most of the line Choice once we get down to the bottom you can either kind of dive into these outsides you have to take a lot of speed into them because you’re going longer distance a little bit slower you can kind of slow up and

Take these insides like Remy just did I wonder if the difference in time here shows just how much like a you know a current downhill bike is faster than you know that sort of setup yeah that’s right go on no well I was just going to

Say it’s crazy when I look back on even like the 26 in days it it feels wild oh yeah I mean you were riding a 26 I was I definitely looked a little bit big for the bikes I was on back then they were like they were like BMXs it was so so

Small Reby Morton then coming down and finish his Red Bull Hardline Tasmania run off the last Shar fin so much Pace down here he didn’t pull for that I looked at the wind sock there and it looked like he got got pretty decent there was like nothing blowing perfect

I’m I’m not sure if they’ve decided to look at it before they jump or everyone’s just gone you know what I’m just going to send it send it for the crowd whoow there he is then Remy mortan down safely goes into second place Dennis lman leading with that 3

25.4 yeah really smooth run here from Remy just I love watching him do every single jump slapping the turn that little back wheel little bit of these oh yeah 10 m that drop vertically right 30 ft you can feel it there’s a lot of people uh with sore

Necks at breakfast this morning I can’t believe like how much my neck and shoulders hurt just from the impact ofing I didn’t really want to say anything cuz I’m like I’m meant to be fit and healthy for this type of stuff but when I mentioned it everyone else

Was like oh yeah me too I was like oh thank God for that you don’t really train for next strengths do you when you’re racing World Cup down here kind of go nowadays you know with all the concussion stuff and obviously I went through mine recently so yeah but it

Doesn’t didn’t seem to help here so look at that for a hot seat yeah that’s aound yeah the Entourage so 24 Riders to go here if you just joined us Red Bull Hardline Tasmania the first edition and now it’s a Red Bull Rampage Rider some fun oh that’s awesome well we going see here then I’m a bit nervous for this one now he’s got it all under control I get

The feel in this man well man being able to get a top three at Rampage and then come here and not only do these huge jumps be able to hopefully I want to see some tricks but R these really technical sections is just awesome well this drop

Here on track for he said he was scared of that one and we were looking at it together and I was like well this one doesn’t scare me too much then we got to that really big one the cliff drop that we call it and he would just straight

Off it didn’t even think twice yeah he said the biggest one apart from learning the track which was challenging he also said that the speed that he’s hitting the jumps at is something completely new to him and you were saying that tiny like the the cliff drop was actually as

A racer was kind of the hardest part because you’re used to just hitting jumps as fast as you can yeah those ones are are really difficult for us cuz you’re going kind of slow it’s kind of tech beforehand and then you kind of have to just let yourself drop we’re not

Used to that in racing we just go forward not not up not down forward ex as fast as possible so that’s why the container drop I think for us seemed a little bit less scary but it was funny seeing everyone’s differences and what they were scared of and not Dam it got

That one getting a little bit of bother there I think he said he forgot about it there you go there you go told you Styles it on the big ver oh little tck nice cross there we’re running out of jumps for a back flip though Rob maybe

I’ve oversold I think it was you that told me well you could say we’re running out or that the biggest jumps are about to he’s about to get to the biggest jump I I’m going to say I don’t think we’re going to see a back flip well I don’t

Know you’re just hyping people up for no reason maybe I’ve overdone it maybe but there’s nothing under 60 ft left 20 M left so I’m I’m nervous but this part of the track looks like just what are downhill bike’s made for really so much fun right this is fun but

At speed it’s actually really scary there’s a few bits where you feel like you’re going to go off track and it you so fast and there’s actually one that has three rollers and you’ve got to remember which one to double and which not Reed might be in trouble yeah know

And it’s no breaks through here all of this absolutely no braks just I mean you can clear it going a bit slower but that’s what that’s what it is going speed is really difficult for there yeah it’s what over 50ks on a down a bike over jumps next to ferns yeah that’s

Right pretty tight in there Reed also from riding in Utah so much he’s really used to this loose ground you know well he lives there actually said he moved to hurricane in Utah which is close really close to the Rampage site it’s becoming a bit of a hot bed for Free Riders right

They’re all moving there Tyler Mall’s out there andu like that it is a it’s amazing and it’s completely different so if you’re concentrating on a rampage run um the riding out there is like nothing else I’ve written out there and it’s it’s terrifying actually I can imagine it’s very very terrifying

Yeah well we’re coming up to the big jumps now well um yeah don’t look at me six Rampage starts for this man as you said earlier a third in 2021 for him [Applause] I don’t want to I’m on the edge of my is he isn’t

He Sude oh he’s hyp with that the speed into there is not that fun it’s a bit scary so I imagine that’s a cool one for him to kick off and just tucking going too fast everyone really to Pedal down towards his last jump re B big one under across

It goes in the fourth place just behind Gracie hem Street and a man who has thoroughly enjoyed his week here M respect to you downhill Racers holy I love it nice one Reed we love to see it that uh slightly offline there that’s so gnarly rolling through that yeah it’s

Like the hardest thing on the entire d really nice tuch no hander and that right after it it gets super super steep yeah you could see him kind of slide out of it they’re trying to break in time for the rock garden totally this is incredible you’re going

So fast like I can’t imagine coming off of that and taking off your hand I can’t imagine just going off it all that look at the size of that Finish Line jump well Matt Jones here one of the most recognizable mountain bikers on the planet he’s not a downer this man is a

Pure slop star rid as he’s come here straight from the Fest Series in South Africa which is massive jumps not a tree route not a rocking sight he came here with his bike basically the suspension is locked out which is what you want for those big takeoffs and landings he’s

Been very it’s been difficult to tell him to to soften things up he dropped about three PSI in the front forks yesterday and he said that he I said to him Matt you know why why are you doing this and he said Marin have made a downhill bike it’s one of the prototypes

And turn existence it’s giv me the opportunity and I want to push myself so fair play to see MJ here I mean he’s incredibly talented I was looking back he uh is actually lighting up the junior for cross uh scene when back in 2012 so once a racer always a racerace and he

Actually said that this is his first downhill race run as an no I don’t know last was and he’s so competitive I was we were laughing about it that he actually only got his UCI license about 12 hours AG yeah yesterday but he mad you know go on T I was just

Going to say I think he’s quite humble about his his racing background but like you said Elliot once a racer always a racer Tak the high lines and again you know he’s used to 30 second runs he said that he we may well see him pull over to

Rest his arm he did say that he was going to try and find a spot to rest his arm so far I feel like he’s had this super aggressive run looking really really good whipping it out I think it’s harder when you stop you know once you’re in

The flow and you’re in the zone your hands tend to not hurt as much but if you start slowing down and you think about stopping he gets a bit wward there yeah his hands probably hurt yeah I think so think your arms might be going

A bit yeah there is a bit of a shift you can have where you’re in the zone you’re thinking about racing and things like that and if you fall out of that think about your hands think about being tired or making a mistake Lally takes a split

Second and all of a sudden your the rest of your run is just hell survival and if you want to see what this man actually does on a mountain bike and taking nothing away from him here to get I told him this morning at breakfast he’s a bit

Down I was like Matt you’re not you you’re tackling the world’s hardest down track not many people can do that on planet Earth but if you really want to see what he can do when he’s at his best at SL star then check out design and

Conquer on YouTube on Red Bull TV frames of mind as well with some world first in know they’re all up on Red Bull TV he is for sure one of those mountain bikers that you would say you could make the argument that he’s one of the best

Mountain bikers in the world he can to be able to come to Hardline ride a track like this you know compete in slope style do back flips to front flips and things like that it’s absolutely ridiculous that’s right still going still hasn’t held up paused up yet he’s riding really well he

On SLAP pedals too and look at those Forks they’re not moving there’s about 3 Miller movement in them look they are almost locked out they really are I was like that fatigue you’re feeling in your arms man I don’t know but maybe if you let 200 PSI out of your forks it’s true

I had to put my Forks up a lot more here and I changed spring rate so I went you went up a spring rate two I went up two no way that’s massive and to ride the off camera with that setup was in the beginning was took so long to get used

To Super Cross settings for outd doesn’t work Matt is crushing it yeah 14 back at split to very respectable it’d be pumped as well to put in a full run I think in his finals yeah unless he stopped where there wasn’t the camera I think he was going

To make sure to stop in front of a camera nearly there Matt Jones last couple of big jumps to go off the sharp pin nice to see the wind sock looking limp there sitting down he’s not even talking no he’s confident he knows his jumps over the Finish Line Bo goes back Jones

Oh that’s awesome brilliant mate third place finish for him at the moment a 354 but he can be incredibly proud of what he’s done here denn’s time still holding up there yeah by 20 seconds at the moment look at him though he’s so he’s super composed you would never know

Riding really really good him and his brother jono just great bike riders absolutely aren’t they well if you just joined us it’s Red Bull Hardline Tasmania we’re just off the South Coast of Australia for the very first Red Bull hard line outside of the incredible Welsh venue of course we’ll be

Revisiting that later in the year we now set our eyes on Thomas janon from Belgium 30 years old now another man another regular red bull H Rampage took ninth there last year and made a name for himself turning up at Red Bull Joy Ride in Whistler back in 2012 as a

Completely unknown teenager and taking a win and he loves this event yeah he’s another one of those riders that can do anything just oh not the start he wanted hope he’s okay banged his elbow looks like Tommy G’s had a lot of shoulder surgeries you know so he seems to be he

Doesn’t want to be crashing on them oh no and that is probably the most slippery off camber Rocky sections that one H that tree yeah I was thinking it looks a lot drier but see I think he just got caught out just a little bit maybe just grabbed a little bit of front

Break and offline ch nasty off that drop actually a bigger crash than it look when you look at it back oh so d goes down hard and he’s back on the bike competing again we lost Edgar briol yesterday we’re all looking forward to seeing imde actually crashed out took a

Uh concussion so taking no chances today Tommy G good to see him back on then that first section T that basically is it right the further up the track we go the the slipperier it gets the wetter it gets yeah that seemed to to be the um what happened this morning we actually

Have to ride to the track and and the the ride there was so wet this morning we’re all like oh no like just at the start fill with confidence my goodness but it does it did get drier as you went on but they say it’s normal here that

That’s just the weather’s So Random yeah random is not the word sunstroke one day Frostbite the next I feel that well I and that the every single thing can kill you had run in with a bumblebee killer bumblebee was told me that could yeah that’s right but there’s been quite a few snakes

Cited on track uh I don’t think we should talk about the maybe we just talk about the athlete accommodation and that massive SPID that they got in someone’s T down there say if people followed my Instagram I thought they would have seen that whole thing go down but yeah Adam

Brighton he was so scared by the wild need’s a fisherman I thought he’d be into it he’s moved into my um my apartment I’m not going to lie I was in accommodation the first I got moved into the tent last night I was like what oh no way zipped right

Up Tommy G then 47 back after that crash right at the top of this track yeah Tommy I love Tommy G too because he uh he’s just one of those Riders I remember talking to him at Rampage and I was like man I don’t know if um

I I get really nervous watching you guys he said yeah we know what we signed up for kind of shows you the just the mindset that a lot of these slop style Riders have I think that yeah for them to uh to come here it’s it’s interesting seeing what the downhillers are scared

Of and what the slop style Riders are scared of you know yeah but Tommy G is actually like a really good downhill Rider well he doesn’t give himself enough credit yeah he is like if you ridee with any of these guys at a bike park You’ oh

You’re the fastest man alive yeah he is fast it’s a shame about that crash cuz it would have been cool to see how he yeah how he yeah what his race R was like compared to the actual Pro down RAC he would have been pushing on I think

Yeah I mean even just key section right there winning the slope style of the Free Ride contingent so far picking up some speed maybe there’s two different races actually there’s the races between the slop star Riders and then the actual down thought that might be the case actually yeah there’s

Definitely going to be a bit of that I know well then you have you know somebody like chaos who’s like right in between the I don’t think he’d consider himself a racer anymore okay he is literally the best of both world that’s true off the container then for Tommy G

Styling it up wind socks looking a little Fuller there now didn’t bother him at all looks pretty set this afternoon the weather nothing uh weird should happen we hope it was actually funny to see that the slop star Riders obviously they have so much exp oh big poor and he only

Just got over that you know Sorry Charlie I was going to say they just have so much experience with the wind and they had some bad experiences um and then the racers were kind of more like ah whatever just send it right good to see Tommy G come down safe and

Sound and here’s your standings at the moment then Dennis luffman leading with that 325 point4 20 second margin and the next rider in the gate from Mexico and I’ve got to say it I have to every time he appears I have to say holy too it’s Johnny Toledo on track here we go

Then the man behind the Free Ride Fiesta had the fourth edition of that this year and actually Johnny as a free rider has been impressing me with his speed I must say I was just about to say that I think that this is going to be one of

The fastest friends we’ve seen yet he’s um he’s definitely been on it all week I haven’t actually seen him that’s how fast he is I haven’t seen him all week the BL yeah he’s got some of those skills and it is like you said the freee fiesta

His own event down in Mexico he’s going to be at the um the street race actually then guat lanto yeah well pronounced ellot sure that’s better than I’ll ever say it okay at round two of the cahu Red Bull series of course that kicks off we’re going straight to Santiago in

Chile actually from here on Monday to get ready for that it’s live next week getting that high line that’s the that’s kind of the line and it was hard for Riders to get it this uh this morning but one of the first Riders we’ve been able to see get that off

Cber far back 3.6 off lman then no you’re right and he’s racing it he [Applause] is just as I say that anyway didn’t cost him any time whatsoever that’s mental time gains right there look at him yeah he’s he’s really pushing yeah he’s flying I like that line in between the

In between the Rocks there letting it hang out having fun three Welsh hard lines under his belt and uh qualified through a rampage actually remember from The Proving Grounds tour a few years ago the Wild Card entry into that nearly five back at split two so losing around 1.2 seconds

To laughman you know what I think you right OT earlier I think if you screw up that burn before coming into here I think it will make a big difference through through uh is that backers Highway yeah it will make a big difference through there I reckon and so

Coming through here it be be interesting to see what time he does burner described that turn to me as the most important turn on that track he was like cuz you know you could there’s no pedaling after it you got to carry that speed all the way through this section

Until you get into a key section here 4.8 back at splp two for celo yeah you have a off camber you can go high there’s a really small catch burm couple of RS and then another catch you can either go inside here like Johnny just

Did but to our Point doing that kind of ruins your your exit speed so that’s your tradeoff there’s a big gap there we might see it com to play later on actually no one doing it yet massive pull out of that turn conditions will be almost need to be absolutely perfect to do

It I think they might just have realized that it’s faster on the left yeah just to ride think so maybe pump through it wisting down through these powdery BMS yeah Johnny really cutting off a lot of distance on all that stuff so I think this bottom section is going to be not

Too bad for him well you should love these big jums more his bread and butter he he’s lost quite a bit of time there in that section that’s right 10 back look at that and the wind so definitely a head win now looking at it for these Riders they come down this

Last 75t 25 M jump C going a couple of pedals in there big big only just over it oh my goodness to show the wind is just soy the wind the headwind is serious well safely over it for celo that view that we have there is so

Perfect wow coming off the big going to be intense afternoon I know I know I’ve never I’ve never been so tense even just looking at this because you can see how much they bought him out there even when you sweet spot it Perfectly okay 20 Riders to go next up backer mayal one of the men that spent the last few months on this Hillside constructing this incredible track from Victoria in Australia this man it’s worked at the park five or six years since it opened and it’s Darcy

Coot but uh this man was working under unfortunately Darcy broke his collarbone just four weeks ago bravely put up with a pain even did a qualifier yesterday and I know he’ be absolutely gutted not to be racing today but the Medics have ruled him out can’t start I know Baxter

Is definitely going to be he’s going to be really wanting to put on a good show here he knows the track better than almost anyone having built it and you’ll see him do a couple little sneaky lines inside there over a rock here and things like that backer is really just uh he’s

Put in a lot of work and I think a lot of people too forget that he was one of the kind of Junior phenomenons on the on the World Cup circuit having couple Factory rides and things like that before that’s right Junior national champion in down as well he’s got the

Skills yeah before he uh kind of and he’s Faster by 4 seconds then at the first split on track there we go so back putting one together here and there we see kind of the splits on the right hand side that first bit is going to be the steeper part his next

Little bit much more technical have the rock garden and things like that and then really long and fast for split number three before we go into the long jumps out in the open and the Drone Pilots doing an amazing job of threading through the rainforest here so 4.6 up at split

Number two then extended carrying good speed down here back to mayal but as you said Elliot you know a good downhill RAC as a junior that doesn’t go away you don’t forget that that’s right and I think this is where we saw this is where

We saw Dennis kind of make up a lot of time on on Johnny so I’m interested to see nearly 60 km an hour through yeah that’s right you’re that trail is probably about maybe 5 m wide if that exactly 60 K and your lincol jumps your

Lincol turns let’s see what he does to this technical bit there’s a couple little hops you can do PLS of dust as he turns in through the key section L the quickest so far with that 12.5 what back toay well done really nice and he is faster by15 then

So taking a bit more time lman a leader at the moment carrying good Pace down now yeah still really L on his b you can tell he’s got kind of the fitness for this bottom section getting these insides really [Applause] nicely staying away from those big Dusty

BMS it will take you out if you go too deep into Them coming into this last little bit cona then for back to mayw perfectly keeps it low off there 6.3 on the clock now it’s a great run from [Applause] him just the big 75 ft 25 M jump to finish then and mayw should go fast if

He gets over here safely easily does it carried great speed down that last straight 7 point4 into the leader 318 now still a long way outside of the fastest qualifi they remember in wet conditions burnard CER with that 31.7 so we’re going to see the times com tumbling down this afternoon that’s for

Sure but mayal takes the lead with that one it’s pretty crazy I think I saw him kind of squash that 70 foot jump at the end we’re getting into the sharp into things here with Conor Fen Australian Rider who is just known for loving anything that has dust and anything that has

Corners perfect TR him absolutely yep on that forbidden bike Donald he’ll be coming up later as well joining him on that team this year looking like his old self actually other than Gracie and Louise I think this is our first racer I know Dennis used to but he obviously doesn’t race

The World Cups anymore so and don’t make any mistakes three time National downhill champion from Adelaide on the podium in Le gang 2021 a man with phenomenal Pace last year broken collone at the start of the Season ruled him out back to full fitness now going to be ke to impress M

He’s on the Move yeah he looks great and I mean he’s had success here he got second in the Enduro uh championship last year took team of the day for the Forbidden bike team they were loving it so he’s had uh some good times here in the

Past and you can See’s actually jumping a little bit further than everyone usually on these on these jumps and drops you’ll see kind of a second Landing until you’ll have different sweet spots so nice over that log jump yeah you can tell he’s carrying a bit more speed through all these

Sections even that rock guarden there that’s right oh and he he does the gap and that was the Gap only done by burnard Cur has even got a name is it the the wom bat I think that’s Eddie that’s an Eddie master’s name so oh he went deep into that right hand

Up that was rapid though honestly with that corner I think you’ve just got to hit it it does look intimidating think cuz there’s massive holes in there and you know it’s dusty look 2.5 up at split number two let’s see if that pays off and he does carry more speed down here

At the next split yeah and that gold really throw it in there that’s right the gold is where he’s currently riding right now Green’s where he’s been and white is the uh the next split Josh bryand back in the day said to me no one on earth has the

Corner no there’s no way you will never see anyone go around a corner like Conor right flat pedals got to love that great Pace across this CA look pumping and working wherever he wants to hopping those gaps he’s on one he is 12.3 the key section the fastest so for

Fe and that’s massive over half a second just in that 11 second part of the track so Feen surely going to absolutely smash the fastest time you saw take a couple of different lines this is where the line selection in goes into that burm that that we saw Lise crash in and you

Have to go in super fast going this exciting stuff from Fe look how quick he is down here he didn’t even use those BMS what BMS just went straight through he’s just so comfortable letting his back in slide out that was incredible yeah his Pace has been ludicrous

Really 2.2 up and split three four excuse me 4.8 then up at the last split on track so make it time all the way down big GL boot to the come for Conor Fen whips it out no worries crosses the line does go fastest 33.4 backs to May World stay in the hot

Seat was brief and Connor Fen now leads Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 33.4 for the Australian Rider what a run that was yeah that was awesome it also tells me impressive me just how quick everyone went yesterday that 301 in the wet when you see F Conor do that then yeah that is actually

Pretty crazy but hang on of course they finished earlier yesterday they didn’t do the last section of the track so we got to my bad my bad my bad yeah how does that Let’s ignore everything I’ve when I saw that time I was like so yeah just to

Reiterate so right where Baxter is you’re seeing him the Finish Line was coming out of this turn so if you saw the Times online and the times we’ve been quoting they were right before the last um that uh chck coming out so basically anything you’ve heard me say about comparison to yesterday’s qualifying

Time completely ignore apologies but it was definitely burnard K BL was fast as head of George bran and Jackson Goldstein was third VJ fourth d c there rounding out the top five but he won’t be starting today unfortunately there you go go okay to eron all the way from Cape Town in South

Africa a man is going to enjoy this more today he did not he looked a little bit out of s sorts yesterday in the mud and if you’re wearing white pants you don’t like to get him dirty should go a lot better in the dry here now and it’s h an

Aggressive start that’s right oh well he he’s just trying to get past that sketchy section as fast as he can that’s one way to do it another Rider coming straight from darkfest actually that took place down there in South Africa massive jump jam some of the biggest

Jumps on the planet so these gaps shouldn’t fa him too much here today caught the front there yeah he’s been a main stay on the World Cup circuit used to the you know traveling racing his bike really good Rider really good friends kind of like a crew with you

Know Ronin dun Jackson gold stone who he’s trying has he gone off track it’s going to be close like he’s all good anyway definitely a loose moment for Al and great to see him attacking like this yeah that’s right 26 the L World Cup last year so

Some Pace there and I think we’re kind of seeing just how difficult this track is it’s not not one that you can kind of let your guard down on mistakes can be made anywhere and it’s not just about these big jumps it’s exactly like Dan

Ain said the in between is the hard part W aggressive into that left 1.9 near 2 seconds back then but split number one to Connor Fen but I mean if you’re anywhere near Conor Fen you’re doing well cuz that is a man who can move and

He did on his race run managed to put a p stroke in there impressive was it haven’t seen that yet made up a little bit of time made up point two just in that one section so I think like we were saying maybe if you mess up that corner

Then you’re going to feel like you need to put that pedal stroke in right yeah absolutely drones doing a great job through the uh tree ferns all the way down here and this is definitely a section where Riders will take a couple of breaths kind of let your hands loosen up over

Some of these jumps because right after this it gets super technical as as we seeing this key section and then really into that inside outside line Choice it is like really fast and really rough it almost reminds me the get the heart rate down there at all Tomy is it not where

He is right now I don’t think it yeah I think like OT was saying above it and then honestly I think once they get to The Container drop as scary as that first landing will be I think after that they’re quite relieved cuz there’s not much left to do other than to just

Point and shoot Tu and hope for the best hope the wind doesn’t get you 1.7 back there at split to so he’s still in touch but he’s going to do well to catch be who rocketed down through this lower section of the course he did but lingon

Not hanging about either for sure and I do like those insides that he took not kind of diving into the really deep um really deep dust and stuff like that stylish off the container goes 2.9 back so that gives you some idea just how quick con of was down

There Bar’s time is going to look is looking good to me yeah he really did make up a lot of time that last bit big whip for erang crosses the line in second place 2.3 into the red very respectable for the South African Rider okay I almost died like three times dude almost three times fing so easy I mean you can tell how uh difficult and physical this track is I mean even look at that just pounding through there like T was saying it’s like Val solle coming down at the uh at

The end with these huge jumps in the middle I love that we’re getting a kind of this picture of how good the Riders are to be able to navigate all this stuff on the way down it was a great run just tuck it down for these last jumps cleared it easily actually even

Managed to whip over it well let’s go down to Bri who’s with our current leader Conor Fen it might be out pretty soon Conor you were in the hot seat did that run go to plan yeah that was awesome like real nervous at the top just before I dropped

Um but the whole track is lined with people uh it just felt crazy like doing such huge jumps but in a down race I’ve never experienced anything like that so that was a sweet run I’m sure there’s uh still plenty of time left on the track

When the faster guys come down but I stoked with that the conditions are changing so much what are the conditions like up the top yeah practice this morning was really slippery and I was scared it wouldn’t um dry up but that was pretty good like uh the track could

Probably dry a little bit more um in the fast Motorway section it might roll a bit faster but a lot of it was sick the bottom half is still Dusty which is what I’m used to um but yeah track is really good there are so many fans here what’s

It like to be racing uh in front of your home Crowd Oh So Sick we we always miss out on the big events down in Australia uh so to get something this big and to see this many crowd like come over from the mainland all around Australia and

Probably overseas is awesome yeah I’m loving it thanks Conor well done thank you 17 Riders left to drop their an absolute Legend of European a French Free Ride Vincent Tupin actually famous for his videos he makes around his house in Evan in the Alps a lot of those in

The snow actually and uh taking two medals for the recent snowbike World Championships a bronze and a silver so he’s got some speed with him yeah how Wild is that that he is riding snowbikes I know this guy could ride anything yeah I agree with you actually he’s

Absolutely amazing in anything he wants to do so much style as well and we do just so everyone knows we do do reverse order so everyone that has come uh before Vinnie t uh Vinnie beat them in in seeding so that’s right yeah there you

Go yeah Vinnie’s um he’s not shy of of the no I remember when I used to live in France actually and he would we would be a big group of us and we’d go out riding and and the goal was to find the gnarliest lines that we could and I

Would just have to just send it with them I I think I went in One Direction and They carried on another one there’s only one way down yeah Vinnie is one of those Riders we’ve seen him at Rampage a lot being able to ride some of the um

More of a traditional Free Rider lots of video Parts not a lot of competing you know you see him at the Fest series events love to see him at hard line yeah he’s one of those Riders where just all the riding does the talking really for him yeah that’s right 10th in 2019

Actually Rampage so yeah showing us he can do absolutely everything heading into the fern trees now three seconds back at the second split and I think one of the that you make up time is kind of like Vinnie is doing here where you’re trying to Sweet

Spot The Landings not land too far down because then you don’t get the benefit of all the speed that it gives you but if you kind of case it just a little bit then obviously that’s going to slow you down so you’re really trying to be deliberate about where you’re putting

Your tires down even just overshooting as well can can take off so much time here we go on course love hearing the fans in the qy section that was actually wild this morning practicing with all the fans on track was crazy v t with the inside over the

Uh over that off cber so good yeah like the fans seem they’ve been here for the entire week right Tony like it’s been crazy well actually we didn’t have many fans on track so I only noticed yesterday but I didn’t ride I only rode in the morning yesterday but today when

We hit that Cliff dropped to double obviously it’s quite iconic and they were all stood there and then it’s kind of like in Fort William when you go over the arch and you just hear this yeah sea of people he’s pushing on through these turns you know these Dusty turns down

Here he’s got such a m got chopped over the front there he’s been sending it 20 M off there no bother at all yeah you see him kind of release his hands just a little bit take a small sit off the shark f down for these last few

Jumps going to f up three 13.4 still leading hooping with a big whip to finish goes into fourth place very respectable nearly eight seconds into the [Applause] red good times here Red Bull Hardline Tasmania here we go boom so comfortable just letting the back in slide out off the drop watch his hands

Actually when he lands they’re all death piing off of that yeah don’t think they have a choice I think the hands hurt so much Mega style over that massive 75 me when to send it down a three who’s with back to mayw Baxter you actually helped build this

Track and you looked like you’re having fun out there how was it from your perspective yeah it’s pretty crazy to see how much the track stried up since our last practice run um through the ferns still a bit sloppy but then you kind of get into the lower section as

It’s dusty again so yeah it’s pretty wild to see the difference in conditions you actually have a section of this track named after you do you think that’s where the race could be one or loss today yeah it definitely wasn’t just me that built it but um yeah I

Think it it plays a key part it’s really loose and Dusty with a bit of line choice and a lot of holes forming at the moment so you can definitely throw the way throw the race away in that section thanks back so well done thank you Local Hero loving it

Absolutely basking in the glory of his own magnificent I was trying to talk I know I was trying to talk to him he just walked away from me earlier all right back to the top then for Jim Monroe from the UK a good qualifier for the this young

Man on an Aon bike as well actually Dan saying he’s not sure really what Jim wants to do now he could be a great racer he could be a great Free Rider yeah that’s right I mean he’s he’s been a main stay of the Red Bull Hardline

Yeah going to say part of the doy crew so have you gotten a ride with him a lot T not really just when I go to WBY bite Park obviously they’re always hanging around but he’s been in uh New Zealand for a while with Dennis and more of the afteron crew so loving

It be heading back to Queenstown after this quick through those rocks there as well and and an amazing story actually Jim got in a rideing his mom took him to watch Hardline in Wales in 2015 he said this is what I want to do moved up there

To Mackin left became part of the Dig crew and the rest his history it’s mad no yeah it’s mad that’s exactly what happened all than the last N9 years that is incredible yeah seems that the Aon now just breed the gnarliest of R if you hang out with

Dan I mean there’s no other result really 5.2 no choice no that’s right 5.2 back then good split one for Jim [Applause] Monroe yeah he’s got a really nice style kind of like a rides really low on the bike loses his low uses his lower body

To to turn and kind of control where he’s going hips to turn instead of you know using the handlebars 5.6 losing another four then giving the Drone Pilots a nightmare trying to keep up with these Riders down through they’re right on the limit apparently as fast as they can go it’s

Looking quite patchy in there as well I’m not sure if the light might that be hard right didn’t lose too much time on that second split I wonder if there was a mistake up top yeah yeah back on Pace you’re right between splits one and two on the Cur comes now

Then there’s always one section where the fans love to be and I think this even though we can’t quite see them we hear them see the big plumes of sand of dust coming up it’s so easy isn’t it t to throw it away here this afternoon it’s just cuz that highway is

So hard pack and he goes for that Gap out that time we’ve seen do that yeah he went for it and he didn’t get it clean but yeah it’s just so hard pack and then this is so deep in dust You’ got to almost change your riding Style on the

Way you’re attacking it just back off a touch well well well still on the gas down here then Jim Monroe loose at the bottom of the track I think that that’s kind of like you were saying Tony the way you almost have to ride the oh up oh we to roll that wow

Still have the speed for this no bother at all Monroe still cracking on them wind Sox looking a little livelier than they did earlier no issues yet as he heads down to the final jump the 75 footer pulls hard Jim Monro safely over it crosses the line in fifth place three of

22.5 nearly 10 seconds into the red but a great run for Jim Monroe yeah we saw that little miss AK before the road Gap the container Gap I reckon those Corners are getting pretty blown out now that’s right yeah for sure I think the bottom of this track Like

Here is one section is these little tiny catch burms and if you dive into them if you trust them a little bit too much you’re um yeah I think we’ve all found that out at some point in practice this week yeah we saw Louise it [Applause] Earlier there you you can see the guys that are feeling the headwind cuz they tend to pull off a lot more on that jump yeah absolutely right 15 to go there and here in Tasmania TBO L excuse me TBO L the next to drop CL fand in

France a regular World Cup racer this man a world regular World Cup finalist would you say I feel like he was Hardline Wales favorite last year like the fans seem to really love L that’s right yeah when he wasn’t announced in the first group of people coming there

Was a lot of outrage on social media think they’ll be happy to see him yeah that’s right great to see him he was desperate to get a ride here and he did lot of rocks on the landing there t is it tricky we saw some people crash

There yesterday that is horrible is it yeah and it’s so blind coming in you can actually Gap the whole thing like you can it’s quite straight coming in and I think some of the boys just Gap from like quite far back whereas I know that I was personally rolling up really

Slowly and using the V to kind of plump like plump myself onto the Rocks nicely plumps not a word you every didn’t even know if that was I know TBO was saying he was just loving the track here hey Fon had a great run look at that 3 seconds into L

At the top off the 10 m vert drop there into the 17 M Gap over the tree there went deep actually did go deep he went deep the Finish Line jump him and Brooke earlier in the week they almost flat landed past the landing with that Tailwind I mean people saying they went

100 110 ft and I wouldn’t argue with that we were saying probably for the way they jumped it the original size of the jump probably would have worked it would have been perfect that’s right yeah 2.8 made up some yeah that’s incredible actually the pull point two

Back there I wonder if that jump surely that jump has to be faster but but that is where that split is 2.8 then in the red going to be hard to pull that back between the B of course the tracks so fast nearly 60 km an hour through the speed trap as well

Yeah we’re seeing a lot of 59 there so if somebody can get up to the 60 61 62 kind of speed we’ll definitely know they’re on Pace for a good time in this split Oh Oh I thought he was down coming in yeah blew up that turn I’m

Tell you what I really like about this Hardline and this new track is is that when you go to Wales you know rers that have been there once twice before have a massive Advantage no one had an advantage here definitely it’s a blank sheet of paper that everyone started on this

Week no one’s you know up to any more speed than anyone else oh sends it deep into the BS yeah getting into both of those turns SE a bunch of people cut those off now for and cut that one super tight former French national champion as

A junior and that is saying something in that incredibly fast Nation EAS toas [Applause] I off the sharpin then still the wind sock not looking too angry the weather’s pretty settled here this afternoon thankfully last one for L not as big as he went in practice thankfully crosses the line in

Fourth place 5.2 in the red a 318 for him fans getting a bit of a shower there and loving it I know the Tasmanian fans are just the best it’s a wild crew over here on the island here we see TBO coming through the bottom section cutting this

Turn we’re going to see people trying to cut as much time or distance I guess in that bit as we can I wonder if you can Gap those BBS I did kind of see it you know when they’re going straight and L then came out of that first one quite

Early right so I wonder if we’ll see someone do that later on might be burnard likes to pull out a new line in the finals there used to be a lot of that back in the day you would have you know Sand Hill hiding lines until the finals yeah

You can’t do that anymore all the dad cams difficult if you do it someone’s going to know about it and that’s what’s nice about here actually everyone sharing lines you know everyone’s helping each other from across the water then Sam Gale from New Zealand 37 eating qualifying Sam’s definitely one of those

Riders like you were saying about um Jim he could kind of do anything he was on the World Cup circuit for a while rode for Bernard’s team pivot Factory racing team and um you know he kind of taken a step back but he’s had some amazing results in New Zealand beaten some of

The biggest names that we have yeah having two top three finishes in NAD Nationals just this year actually yeah I think he’s one of those riders that really kind of rides on emotion if he’s having a good time he’s going to put in a good run so I would

Kind of expect big things from him here you can see him just kind of hopping around really light on the bike yeah pushing through those rocks there sixth at the last edition of uh Hardline Red Bull Hardline that we had in Wales so you know that’s a big result top 10 a Hardline

Yeah getting that ins see how hard he was on the front break coming into it B almost just stopping down there he got it yeah Hardline seems to be his Jam you know yeah absolute bread and butter but he told me that he’s actually over racing all the World Cups you know he’s

Not sure he needs it in his life anymore but this event certainly brings him to life 2.3 back then that’s split number one on track so off cber through the Gap there threads a needle to the side of that rock there to the right of that rock you see how much he’s pumping

There’s so much speed to be gained on this track if you can get all of the downsides pump all of these things I really want to see what his speed is on this because he looks super near pulled a second back 1.4 into the red now then

I I do think he struggled on that burm though I think we might have seen a small mistake so I’d be interested to see if he’s lost a bit of time through here going to the next split yeah the next split will tell us keep an eye on

That he’s definitely working hard down on this 67 no way wow well didn’t bother him the mistake came because he was going so fast obviously it is like that right 8 K is faster than insane yeah that 59 that we’ve been seeing a lot of the time see

What the next split tells it’s going to be interesting picks up there this is where we usually see people drop in time so it be if he gains time that Conor had a really good split there and it is still Conor faring fastest in that key

Section but only by just under 21 to Sam gaale he’s having a good run here gaale off the brakes into this wow I love that turn and the jump out of it smashes those big Dusty BMS there if you’re willing to take the speed those outsides are good he’s

Pushing on down here definitely yeah not much breaks through there no hold on let it roll Let It Go step down now and in the big container and 1 point2 now so another point2 back his way not impossible if he’s got that pace to pull it back by

The ball look like he went deep off the shark fin Fe with that 313 point4 Here Comes s it’s going to be close it’s going to be outside it good enough for him to go second 1.2 into the red he rode into that run yeah that was a really good run

You I think that’s a great way to put it you know got faster as he went down the track taking some different lines really working harder than we’ve seen anyone work on on back’s highway there for sure just pumping exactly where he needs to I think a lot of people are using

That as rest and he just seemed to yeah just just gained wherever he could using all the travel no matter how nicely you land except for Matt Jones you only used the first 10 mil 200 mil I only need 10 good thanks it’s fine we get any can we lock them

Out well watch out for this man Dan Booker from Hobart actually about an hour and a half strive from here on the island of Tasmania very much a local new team new bite for him this year and a man who can oh just as I say that he goes down hard

Oh oh well Booker hits the ground hard there is stuff to catch you out there not easy to see it looks if it’s he’s up he’s up and off the track which is good he’s got another Rider there it’s literally just as you drop in so they’ve all just seen that well

That’s a real shame for d Booker that Conor fan still leading with that 33.4 Gale though pushing him all the way 1.2 only off Teo lingon from South Africa in third ahead of back to mayal and still plenty of massive names to drop here at Red Bull Hardline Tasmania

2024 he’s still nowhere near the top 10 qualifiers this is going to be good yeah man I was really looking forward to watching Dan R sced uh Eddie Masters and um Jack Moyer there was they were calling him for a top three I agree he was saying he was the Dark Horse all

Week people saying it and he you know seventh overall last year in uro World Series the the crazy thing too was um Sam Hill actually discovered him here in M they went riding and he was like he’s so quick you need to sign him up that so

That’s so cool imagine being like signed up by Sam yeah Sam Hill says I’m pretty good I take it yeah like I don’t need anything else oh you’re World Champ yeah don’t really care mate well we’ve just been told actually that Dan Booker is okay he’s just been attended to by the medics

But uh nothing serious with him ah look at that sign Booker is a looker oh what a shame for him not to get down to the Finish Line his crowd would have gone mad well here’s Bri with no other than Matt Jones Matt you completed your first run

That must have been a good feeling how the nerves Before You Dropped In I was so scared up there this whole week I’ve not managed to do a top to bottom just cuz of my arms like arm pump not feeling some of the features but I’ve just honestly conquered one of the hardest

Challenges I feel of all the years I’ve been riding bikes this track is so demanding so physical but the feeling of coming into a finish area again since the slope style days was honestly unbeatable the crowd is amazing and we’ve seen quite a few Riders going down

At the top just talk us through the conditions up there and how hard it is technically yeah so down here in the Finish area with the dust it’s hard to believe that up top it’s actually still a bit wet but where the sun’s coming through the trees it’s really difficult

To spot what a hole what’s a high bit like you can’t tell the difference between a tree stump and a hole so it’s not surprising that the Riders when they’re gunning it and going for it it may be making some errors cuz you honestly you can’t see what you’re

Rideing what do you do when you can’t see how how tough is that well I guess a lot of the guys are so familiar with the lines and things that they stay true to just where they were going but you’ve only got to go an inch off off Pace or

Off line and it’s a disaster so this is honestly so challenging it’s so Technical and racing it makes it even harder thanks Matt well done yeah Legends thank you you clear to drop when you want here we go we’re back in it Sam blanking stop no less another New Zealander a man

Who’s won a World Cup in the past zero bre this year yeah new bike for him as well he was on Crest line last year that brand actually working now with Aaron Gwyn for a World Cup team and this is a new bike made in New Zealand a gearbox a bout drive bike

Won’t hear anything quieter on the mountain that’s especially when you uh couple it with Sam’s incredible riding smooth riding style I know you he on a track like this where there is a lot of pumping you’ll see him work the bike a lot you know those wide handlebars that

Style where he moves around a lot he’s kind of the most active Rider we have on the on the circuit he is and one of the most stylish definitely one of the quickest having a little Resurgence actually back in 2022 an eighth place finish for him in Monson an showing he

Still absolutely got that World Cup Pace it was 2008 that he won in schladming I’m not sure if he’ll thank me for mentioning that well I mean that’s insane to be at the top of the sport for that long that’s right and he very much is he’s still there he’s you know with

His off he’s so lean still okay to b Anyway they had me on the TRX this week I’ve never heard anything like it but anyway yeah two seconds back then split number one and this is this is going to be the section where I’m starting to think you know this is where I would expect him to

Make up the most time we saw you know Connor and then we we saw um Sam Gail making up a lot of time in these um kind of pump pumping sections yeah like T said pedaling the air taking about nearly a second between split one and

Two they’re just over a second now off Conor Fen I wonder if the U no gloves is more Arrow just L maybe definitely a lot less traction on your bars than your grip especially when it’s hot getting some pedals in 64 km an hour through there

Then picking up a second there and just that little short split so this this is where I think Sam can really shine used to these dry conditions down at the bottom ridden this stuff in New Zealand for his whole life oh comes hard in that turn can he

Find a second down a f chopping around interesting to see almost everyone adjust in point two behind Conor and that key and he gets that Gap massive out of that turd cleanly over it the biggest pull on the track P told me I was going to say it did look like a pool

And sometimes doing those sections knowing you have to clear a jump almost makes you go around the turn Definitely good so far from Sam coming into this final bit pedaling say whoa 1.7 and losing a bit more [Applause] oh goes massive off there keeps the front wheel High the SI ping in the air seen anyone ped there that’s crazy it’s blanky he’s a bit special across that

Last Gap he goes in a third place just 1.2 into the red it’s getting tight of the top here Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 1.2 seconds only over the top three it’s that’s how you feel though when you get down there oh Beau at the yeah that’s awesome having fun everyone’s

Just loving it having the best time and Conor must have had a really good top split seen him really um haven’t seen anyone on the Move see that’s crazy because I didn’t think that the top would have that much right it’s technical you know iess yes it is the

Steepest part of the track Ste yeah like we said there’s a lot of breaking involved technical breaking well don’t know what T’s going to make of this here’s her brother chaos man who gave up World Cup racing at the end of 2022 although I’m still going to say he

Is a free racer would you agree T I would agree yeah he did make a comeback in L last year but I think he had to stop and let his arms rest for a bit cuz he hadn’t been training the fitness disappeared that quick but he loves this

Sort of stuff he was here actually testing the track with Bernard and David um a few weeks ago now he loves to guinea pig all the big stuff which I he’s not worried about it is he I mean this takes a definitely takes a different kind of mentality to to do

That I would say I don’t I don’t understand it personally why would you test something that you have no idea what speed you’ve got to go into and just hope for the best but that just goes to show how good they are yeah incredible video for him with a

Back flip to nose out nose manual out Mad Skills chaos and he is he I mean just riding being able being able to ride with him in a place like Morzine so quick I mean you guys grew up there on these steep tracks and stuff like that

It’s just yeah it’s a it’s a dream yeah it was the dream backyard I’m not going to lie 2.4 back oh went deep over there as well and chaos is I feel like he’s putting down a race run here you know what we haven’t seen any tricks yet I’m quite surprised

Sure about the same uh he’s in touch I think with pretty much everyone else at that first split so let’s see what he does crazy run in Wales a few years back I can’t remember which year where he back flipped two jumps but crashed on

Both of them and I think after that he was like the following year he’s like right I’m going to actually try and race cuz that was embarrassing 2.7 back now then at split number two still somewhere near though that’s all right for a free racer it’s not bad you’re right someone

Who’s retired from racing it’s funny that he’s retired he’s what 24 just too old maybe his career is only just getting going though it is it is and he’s hoping to go a rampage right at some point tney yeah he really suits that sort of ride and I think he has

Like blossomed in a way you know yeah I mean I think it I always think about that that you almost had to build the skills to your racing career to be able to do the gnarly stuff that he’s doing now they built really good like fan base and skill base from

Racing that was creative giving himself a different line into that turn there not sure if it was fast but looked good it did look good Big Two Wheel drift doesn’t send that Gap out of that turn there and into these blown out turns that are coming up Now the conditions must be difficult as a racer to deal with a change right because it did not look like this when you were practicing did not but they’ve been throwing a lot this week you know as I said yesterday it was super wet and

Windy so they used to it y yeah it’s definitely dried up a lot from from practice even that top bit and it’s I mean it’s amazing to see how wet it is up there whipping off this huge jump still wet at the top but then it’s dusty

At the bottom losing some serious time to splits between splits two and three then 7 seconds into the red now for chaos C grave comes down whips it over the big Finish Line jump chaos SE Graves goes in seven good run for him I think he’d have

Been looking yeah maybe for a bit more but he enjoyed that I think when you’re up up against the liks of con and you know who’s just so used to this these conditions true that’s true yeah you’re right don’t ride loose dust much when you live in the UK well when it started

Raining I think all the UK Riders are like yes just like look at that so good well T we’re going to let you go now we’re going to head into the top 10 I know you wanted to hang around and see chaos come down which was great but thanks very

Much for coming in and you know just congratulations on what you’ve achieved this week and over the last week it’s been amazing to see really it’s been real fun going to go and watch all the drama now you go out there in the sunshine cheers guys in a bit thank you

All right Brooke McDonald then new team for him this year it’s good to see the tail wagging on the dog again ready and he is looking very much like his old self on that forbidden bike teammates with the leader coniferin at the moment yeah he was just saying how good it felt

To be on a bike that he just loved said was a bit stressful in the offseason kind of figuring out where he’s want to wanting to go getting on this bike feeling like now he can just focus purely on his racing exactly what he wanted yeah the confidence is back for

Brook MacDonald 32 years old now a former World Cup winner as well a junior world champion in downhill a man who’s had a career at World Cup racing since 2008 can you believe that still his appetite for going fast and taking risks is very much there I mean I think that that’s a

Perfect his risk his appetite for risk is more than anyone in mountain biking period the crashes that he’s taking the injuries he’s had yeah let’s see what this first split tells is then 57.6 he’s outside Conor or is the split just not working no 1.8 back then

Closest we’ve seen so far at the top and I mean you can tell Brook is he’s feeling good he’s riding really composed a lot of the time we see Brooke kind of a little bit loose and stuff like that but he’s he’s riding good you can see he’s using his knees looking comfortable

Feeling Good Hits that Gap yes he did one back Gap easy second Rider to do that today that’s right any fear on with him and now here we go then well Brook doesn’t mind going fast he will drag every kilometer of speed he can have it

Down here 1.4 now so Elliot you’re right pulling back point four of a second between splits one and two I know he likes this fast stuff but I did see him come kind of tighten up that turn that entry a little bit so I’m interested to

See what the speed is going to look like here whistling through the tree ferns 56k so you’re right a little mistake costing him a bit of top end speed there yeah almost that’s right yeah there’s definitely time to be made up here at the bottom if you let it loose like we

Saw kind of carer doing shaving off the distance as well as keeping his speed up Donal I know Brook was taking inside here in yeah he done it again look at that right up on the inside beautiful riding there and there he was you know got to the Gap point one off only

Through the key section as well gets the Gap out that turn gapping out but also when you take that inside you will get to the the key section finish faster than the Riders who take the outside but what happens after that that’s true enough yeah comes over the top of that

Big rock on the downside of that straight lining as much as he can through these turns phenomenal Pace down here loving the loose stuff at the bottom it’s amazing isn’t it just in good spirits it’s good to see Brook just having fun on this bike W 20 M across there 60

Ft the wind socks blowing a little bit but it’s been a great run for Brook McDonald 3.2 back with the last split on track charging down to the Finish Line then and Brook McDonald goes into fifth place just 3.1 off a good run for the New Zealander barely looked out of breath I

Know I love it I love seeing her smile on Brook’s face it’s so good styling it out over the container drop the Riders are actually you’ll see a lot of the um as we get up to the to the top these big BMS they’ll try to cut off as much

Distance as you as you can because cuz you you might save a maybe 20 20 M if you could just go to the bottom of these really big burms something you might not even think About well an incredible afternoon here in Tasmania the first Red Bull Hardline tazzy and it is delivered nine Riders left to go we go to the top then for one of the fastest downhillers on the planet Lori Greenland for the Santa Cruz syndicut a man who actually was Ill

Picked up some sort of virus last year really depleted energy levels I know he’s had a tough winner getting back to the fitness he is now but he’s been looking good all week yeah really really good he’s he’s been out in Australia with his team Santa Cruz syndicate’s

Been out here actually Nina Hoffman was on site Steve was on site doing some of the other races here so they’ve been no mistake Elliot this man he’s going to be pretty dissatisfied with anything but the win this afternoon he’s going to be trying oh for sure especially on a track

Like this you I think for the World Cup racers they feel like you know of course the jumps and stuff are gnarly but this is their all of these Rock Gardens they feel like this is um this is what I came here to do straight line that rock

Garden look how smooth and quick he is it’s impressive so far from ALG getting that High Line yeah getting back up you saw him actually pick up right near that tree to get up high so so smooth it’s hard to tell how quick he’s going one

Just over a second off then at split number one Fen was absolutely phenomenal at the time yeah he was but he’s definitely in touch so let’s see if he can pull back more time at the bottom here oh really nice he saw him pick up the front tire get downside on the back

Side of the burn see how much he’s pumping kind of everything making sure he gets speed through this you can’t pedal but really that right hander yeah carried good speed through there that just one3 off now then so fighting back here Lori Greenland really putting it together now he’s got that top

Section out of the way incredible stuff took a third in lenville last year before he got his SEC before he got sick bronze at the world championships in Fort Williams oh he’s flying through here W 61 anything over the 60 km Mark is fast and now it gets technical again

Greenland going to open it up again I feel on these lower Steeps of this track well I mean we’ve seen what he can do at tracks like Val we heard T say this is similar to a Valle so this is where we’re looking for Lori to make up most

Of the time getting outside there kind of in between a bit of a mistake maybe actually yeah yeah L 2 27 any three there doesn’t go for the Gap there saying some of the rers thinking it’s quicker just to pump that inside that’s right interesting what’s the next split going

To tellal us tiptoeing around the inside there carried a lot of speed through those two turns and it’s right like said a lot of the stuff hasn’t gotten figured out you know the Riders haven’t been walking the track every day so that’s why you’re seeing Riders take so many different

Lines get hook up hung up in that last right maybe a little bit expit here it comes in 38 he’s very very much in touch then just tough just tough there’s not much else you can do now I’ll be amazed if we see him take a pedal stroke at the feet

They going it doesn’t make much difference greenand over the Finish Line jump what’s it going to be goes second a s off in the end and con of feing continues to lead here at Red Bull Hardline [Applause] Tasmania good run from Lori it was a strong run it really was great to see

Him put that illness of of last year behind him and here we go we can kind of see where he made up most of the time you know that that first run that first split is where Connor just you know kind of blew everyone else out of the water

And you’re kind of fighting back everyone’s just been fighting to gain time with the rest of the track well second place for Lori GRE and the man from Bristol in the UK a wonderful afternoon’s racing here at Red Bull Hardline Tasmania great to see so many people coming

Out yeah everyone’s been it’s really cool to actually be able to ride people have been here taken a holiday been able to ride the bike park I know Troy was saying this is one of the places that he trains the most well you might want to

Stow away your TR taes put your seat backs to upright and make sure you do up your seat bouts cuz Ronan and D he’s ditched the GoPro is about to go here a massive crash in the week high speed get off said he didn’t bother him one bit

New team for Ronan dun let’s see what he can do this afternoon and second in Snowshoe at those World Cup finals last year or actually second to last World Cup of the Year man that was amazing he was actually able to hop there’s a little breaking bump and he actually was

Able to double off of that ledge first Rider I’ve seen be able to do that today and of course his bik not turning up until later in the week his first run down he ticked off every single feature his third run down was a complete top to bottom to show how incredibly insanely

Comfortable he is with a course like this just 21 years old from County Wicklow loves driving tractors and riding mountain bikes extremely F that’s the only thing that you need to do in life is tractors and mountain bikes slapping turns being able to set up way wide coming in off that

Drop really he’s he’s linking up this track better than anyone I’ve seen so far fing 57.6 what’s this going to be he’s up by 1.5 56.1 on the clock then a split one for ronand D an incredible top section can he hold it together now saw him in Guatemala actually the DHD Vulcan

A couple of weeks ago finished second new teammate there Dakota a run yes this is fast you might be watching a winning run here he’s really being deliberate about how he’s coming into the turns watch how high everything is you see way outside coming into he’s not teeing off

Any of the turns 3.6 up now at split number two he is decimated that time by Connor Fen this is incredible from The Young Irishman carry an amazing piece the Drone definitely not keeping up down there not even close yeah he’s definitely not scared of the speed

Either no he’s not he laps it up 55 interesed let’s see what it does to him after this key section we’ll be able to know how comfortable he is on the on the loose stuff he’s good on the top good on the speed so far but now it gets loose and

There’s not a lot of loose dust in Ireland I’m going to say ever that’s true that’s true I don’t think they know what sun is an eight in Le gang last year as well amazing to see that Irish one two in Snowshoe first person to beat on the

Key section so we know Conor is so good at this loose up by a second down over it Mass over it whacking these Dusty BMS this is looking phenomenal to me from Ren D he’s going to have the top R the last few Riders at the top scratching their heads with this one

That’s right putting the pressure on he looks so composed it’s good to see Ronan you can kind of see the experience and all the training coming into play and he’s nearly five seconds up of the last split this is incredible just a tough to go now then as he comes down

Towards this Finish Line Ronan D is going to take the win Take the Lead here excuse me with Red Bull Hardline Tasmania here he comes then done crosses the line 308 is now the time to beat nearly 5 and 1 half seconds into the green that was phenomenal he knew it was

A good run was an amazing run didn’t really see too many mistakes W he enjoyed that who going to carry the boats that was [Laughter] awesome and so this is what I was talking about if you just watch the way that he’s where he’s going on the bike that you know trying to go as low as he can in all these really big burms cut

Off as much distance as he can but also get set up early and looking at the graphic he just accelerated all the way down it look wow beautiful shot to these Riders flying 20 M through the air on that step down and he knew that was a good one

You’re going to see a lot more of that young man over the next few years Connor Fen stepping away well let’s hear from Ronan he’s with Bri Ren what a run you told me before this that you wanted a Podium you’ve got into the hot seat how happy are you with

That run yeah just nice to get and make it down to the bottom to be fair uh that track is unbelievable it’s full on um it’s nice that you can treat it like a World Cup really and just go flat out and but with sick jumps really you were

Linking the turns so well where were you finding that extra speed honestly I just taken about good few Red Bulls for that run and uh yeah that just took me down really I didn’t just like a World Cup I don’t remember much but yeah sick I’m

Here now it was all all right run so yeah you mentioned the Red Bulls you buzzing how many did you have before your race run uh about five now including this one so uh the old caffeine addiction isn’t going too well thanks R and Well Done cheers thank you

Straight from the horse’s mouth and done I was going to say I was going to say how like he’s been known to drink like five six Red Bulls I’m so glad that Bri got it that’s right well hold your breath then it’s not over yet still

Seven Riders to go Adam Bren now from CIA in the UK a man who will not rest until he’s won a Red Bull Hardline he’s been up on the splits a couple of times in wild things haven’t gone his way in 2022 I I thought he was going to win I

Think everyone thought he was going to win I mean him I I’ve also been trying to get Gast to flatten merch from him for a long time but goes out quick Adam’s one of the I feel like if you if you thought about Ronin Dunn being the new school Rider that is loose

And really hangs it out Adam braon is the old school Rider popping oh popping a a foot there go g the flat go Gast the flat they’re shouting up in the woods a little couple of mistakes up at the top here cost him hard cuts that turn

There goes outside misses that High Line we’ll see what it does to his time we know the bottom of this track is really where he would probably shine 3.2 3.1 back [Applause] though so finds himself over three seconds in the red oh got low on that

Rock there as well SP for and he sends the gap of course he does it’s Gast the flat he is this is a classic Gast to Flat run bit wild probably a little bit more messy than he would have hoped yeah I think one thing that is pretty obvious today is is

That really any mistakes in the upper part of the course are going to be very hard to pull back it seems yeah and I and I think it is one of those tracks where when you first look at it you think it’s going to be all about minimizing mistakes um and of course

Every every race run is but I think there’s a lot more time on the course than 61 maybe we realize yeah you’re right actually an incredible week with him actually with me and uh Adam have been fishing he brought his rods with him he’s a keen fisherman and at one

Point I was stood with azic Kestrel fishing for brown trout whilst looking at a duck Bild platypus and I know the Australians won’t believe it but me and Adam had eyes on a duck bill platus again enough of the nature let’s get back to the RAC I think that’s just

Called a duck no it was a duck platus it was right there it was insane so 1.6 back in that key section oh sends the Gap with e with these one of the most committed one of the fittest Riders 35 years old now probably lift the truck

Seven hard lines to his name three times on the podium in Wales qualified second of course in Wales in [Applause] 2022 I know he’s been he’s been having a good time it’s funny because he was saying he was a bit nervous for this for this race not somebody that you would

Imagine being nervous for he’s so he’s so good you can obviously ride so well super stey lost some serious times between splits two and three but Brighton has had an amazing week here he loves his bike racing and another hard line gets ticked off goes into Ninth Place 10 seconds back [Applause]

Now that justed to just tried too hard pushing too hard it’s a it’s an absolute tight it’s a greasy tight rope you you could kind of see him make a couple of mistakes up at the top and once you do that it’s really hard I think Ronin kind of showed us how

Much of a rhythm track this is yeah you get out of rhythm and then once that happens it’s kind of like okay I know I’m I know I’m way I know what a good run feels like and I know I’m I’m off so just five Riders left at the top

Look at those names there iniguez gon V Jackson Goldstone the man we’re looking at under some pressure this afternoon I’m going to say George branagan what can he do now it’s dry and then it’s Bernard Kerr it’s going to be the last to drop but this is matio inz from

France 23 years old only moved to Elite in 2020 and got inside the top 20 at the Val Sol World Cup race last year so steep Rock rough he ain’t scared no and he’s part of you know that crew the Hugo fck Salon Thomas a stack who are just

Unbelievably good on a bike com that super super fast a lot of these drops the way that you make up time is to actually prehop so you’ll see the Riders kind of trying to not break and and unweight over the top of them but it’s terrifying because you can’t see the

Other side how you’re right there so wisting through this top section now inz nice through that Ro there no problems haven’t seen him make a mistake so far nice smooth and quick into that turn sets up wide there like we saw Ronin do won a junior World Cup race back in

2019 so plenty of pace there and so that was kind of what I was talking about Rona was able to get up high there and Link that get a little bit more exit speed and so that’s kind of the difference between what r d was doing

And what we were seeing a lot of the other Riders do R Absolut abolutely slaying the top sections I mean iniguez was not hanging about and R in just that first section has put 3 seconds into him that’s unreal that’s true man I love watching him this

The way he just lets the bike move around he’s beautiful isn’t he amazing style comes in tries to go a little bit low there as the BMS get get um kind of blown out you don’t want to get into that soft stuff even though that’s where

The biggest part of the BM is it looks tempting but it just slows you down so you see Riders adjusting lower and lower as the race goes on 3.7 back yeah and the you know the way that these BMS blow apart it doesn’t get any easier actually

For the later Riders the tracks probably might may well be getting slower now we don’t know how much it’s drying out of the top but the more blown out it gets the more difficult it does become a deal with yeah it’s it’s definitely true and

I mean it’s it’s always a balance at the top maybe it’s better to go later you know some of these BMS like you’re see Mato come into he might have blown one out y but you never really know you just have to react on the spot so Ronan still the fastest but look

At that in It Go in second quickest through the key section just 22 off so really on still pushing harded despite being nearly 4 seconds back on the big clock for sure and he a mistake we didn’t see definitely you know different parts of the track suit different Riders

I think it is really difficult to get a Flo on this track because it means it means something different at each point at the at the beginning you’re trying to link the turns you know once you get down here you have to just let off the brakes and be comfortable

With the back in sliding out then super low in that turn loses another 1.2 riding amazingly but the pace not quite there although it is Ron and done and that absolutely breathtaking run that we’re comparing him to over the Finish Line he goes a 313 look at that 4.9 into the red is

Still good enough for second place and I’m going to say that Ronan dun is going to push Jackson Goldstone is going to push Bernard C with that run that was phenomenal definitely definitely I didn’t like that was so smooth watch this this is just beautiful so

Cool see him moving around in the bike knees out dives into this catch burm run and pushes just a little bit but you just have to be really comfortable like Tomy was saying it’s like L of Sol a so if you’re too precise you’re probably going a little bit too Slow whip it over a 70t jump no stress you do well if you just joined us it’s Red Bull Hardline Tasmania the first edition of this event and it’s Ronan dun that leads with that 308 just ahead of Conor Fen excuse me matio in against the man we’re looking

At there Conor faren move back to third by iniguez and there is just four Riders left at the top gate and V now from the south of France ring actually with he broke the tip of his thumb the X-ray looks horrendous just about two weeks ago I couldn’t believe he came here let

Alone can perform like this yeah man I mean that first bit sets the tone and he definitely Took a ton of speed off that off that ledge see him come over here this is where we’re looking at a little bit of breaks over the top we saw Mato take a

Little bit more speed but it’s just one section jumps way down off of that like Don was saying and so here’s where it starts to get about flow setting up wi getting into these catch burms early thinking about your exits not rushing anything we saw some insane stuff there

Over the course of the week down so far so good yeah carrying great Pace at the top here definitely no question there for VJ oh goes deep off there maybe an indication just how fast he’s going as well 1.6 back then first not too bad I

Know Ronin had a really good top section launches off of the lock jump and headed now fastly towards little bit of break so you heard him kind of drag the BS right into the turn little bit of a mistake but not too much still smooth run a

Great Rider as a junior runner up in the world cup but a great Rider as an elite actually getting on the World Cup Podium last year in no less than monan 3.4 back now though to the Irishman that’s leading at the moment it really shows like what the these tiny little mistakes

He dragged the brakes a little bit into that turn he dragged the brakes a little bit into the turn before yeah before this spers highway I think he might lost a little bit speed down here you can see him really trying to push for it yeah

Having to kind of pop a little bit more than a lot of other people did 60k through the speed trap not too far off and into the kitty section now he comes this big deep off camber oh good across there hops up The High Line key section oh just letting the front inside

That was really good through the key section done still quickest but look at that just 87,000 for VJ there so right on the money we done surely you can’t find three and a half seconds between here and the bottom too tall in order for anyone he’s ring good yeah he is pushing

On down here he’s attacking in these lower Steeps Hardline is definitely a race that he puts a lot of emphasis on good he’s one of those riders that you know got the skills he’s equipped to deal with it that’s right no ball there across the 20 M Gap 6.2 now then for VJ

Though still could see him going to Fourth Place perhaps Lorie greenand sat there at the moment just the last jump to go then 25 M through the air the Hang time’s insane VI goes into to eight 7.6 off three Riders to go here don’t go anywhere stay

Locked cuz the next one next ride at drop is no less than Jackson gold the winner of the last Red Bull Hardline we had good for gay to be able to get put that run down with the broken thumb you tape on it key section so watch his front tire

It’s going to start to slide right here and he and he just moves his body out to counteract that doesn’t touch the brck doesn’t panic or anything like that uses his hips spots the exit Textbook super rough coming down here it’s so cool you’re just kind of bouncing Down big drops big big drops amazing the progression of the courses the bikes yeah right suspension everything it’s phenomenal and there’s Gan safely to the bottom still fighting for some breath okay everyone well the last time we had a Red Bull Hardline was in Wales in 2022

And this man won it his very first attempt by no less than 7 Seconds the only man last year to win two Elite World Cup down races Jackson gold then on track and it’s going to be a battle royale between him and buron I think this afternoon and Ronan done now as

Well this will test dun’s time to the max so far I mean I don’t know but he feels noticeably faster all AB drops unbelievable to watch and he’s one of those riders that is just so unbelievably precise watch the way he puts the bike exactly where

He wants it using these is a little Rhythm Section popping around being white oh a big crash for gold stone oh gold stone goes down wellow well well well hit the cameraman there gold stone with a rare mistake it’s just a tiny slip of a wheel just have a look at this then

Watch his watch his back wheel oh boom hits that rock pushes him forward and he done well to be like I know if it wasn’t a the bike H the tree luckily Jackson didn’t just nasty oh when you’re going that fast Elliot yeah I know if it’s is it there he goes

He’s he’s all good he’s up going well a big hit for Jack and gold stone amazing to see him back to his feet look like he’s hurt his knee there but uh wow the drama unfolding here at Red Bull Hardline Tasmania that’s a live image of him he saw yeah probably a little

Bit wondering if we can it’s going to be okay well let’s okay we’re going to go down at Bri over to you Bri L we just seen your teammate the defending champ go down what were your emotions watching that well it came right towards the camera so it kind of

Gave me a fright but and uh yeah it kind of looked like he just dodged the tree I mean he’s quite lucky to get around that but yeah no news for me yet so I hope he’s okay um saw a little clip of him Sat on the side of the track getting

Some medical attention but yeah I I know as much as you do I think of course injuries are a part of this sport you know firsthand what it’s like what would be going through as land at the moment probably I shouldn’t have crashed

I he was on a really good run as well he looked like he was pushing on hard and kind of he looked like he was on for a classic Jackson run to be honest so a little bit gted for him um yeah he normally comes out all right I’m sure

He’s fine thanks Lori app it cheers guys well thank you Lori thank you Bri to two Riders left to go the course is now back live and now let’s focus on this man then from Hastings in New Zealand NS NS bikes United ride ready George branagan love seeing George dropping in

Second to last a man who can a man who belongs very much here but you say OT the second a drop in the pace is phenomenal some bad luck really over the last few years some injuries slowing George down a bit but yesterday he

Showed us what he can do can he do it again in this finals run these are George conditions they are it’s a George track that’s right big jumps fast turns anything that has over the top of there yeah he looks good this is it it is like riding in Queenstown and this is

You watch him right there it’s just incredible so watch him in these Corners you’ll see him in that really big left-handed burn probably go through there slap it more than anyone else has makes it through there nicely where Jackson just add his issues fast around there as well into

That turn off that drop bit fur inside two World Cup podiums in his career this man very close actually to winning one a few years ago now dun’s 56.1 and he’s point8 off it only George branagan then so within a second of the top split he’s definitely in touch he is in touch sets up wide there get some really good speed around that um right hand BM and he was deep off that next

Jump sh and he’s carrying good speed get some pedals in goes for The Gap there super smooth that’s going to give him a ton of speed all the way down this section right here and the confidence is there for branagan to day then what’s he done at the next split 128 for Ronan

That burm is definitely getting more and more blown out 1.3 so losing around half a second between splits one and two he’s working for it right here this is where he really needs to push all these sections where you think there’s not much going on that’s where the the top

Girls and guys make up all of their time it feels like still only 1.3 back for George branagan his last hard line in Wales ended in tears actually a broken collar bone a massive crash on the step on step off but he loves these events keeps coming back for more into the key

Section he comes now and I can’t wait to see watch this his body position coming through here stays High all the way didn’t drop into that catch stra L now that’s got to be fast let’s see what the key section’s telling us but and he does

Go fastest there he takes 600s out Ron and Don on that one section gaps big as well out of that turn so still pushing on it still cracking on very much massive out of that yeah that’s that’s something that takes so much commitment to go as fast

As everyone else and be on an off cber so George really using this bottom section to make up time he is whistling through these turns straight lining where he can that was so clever the only Rider to stick that high line on that camera incredible but that’s what you’re

Talking about when you’re talking about George branagan some pedals into the row into the Container drop 2. a back now though he won’t be spinning that round and here we go George coming all the way into the Finish tucking up pushing all the way all the way down

Over the 7 oh here he goes goes second then 2.8 into the [Applause] [Applause] red that was on the what a great run here’s that tie here’s that High Line you can see how much he’s fighting the body but it paid off I mean at any point if you slide down that’s the end of your run and that is what a winning key

Section looks like so far George is uh into second place here just that middle bit Ronin was just so fast in that second split has Ronan done done enough there’s one R left at the top now burnard K Kerr the king of Red Bull Hardline three win to his name

In Wales he would love to take the first one here in Tasmania but dun’s time is phenomenal a 38.1 is the time to be and if there’s any man that can do it here today it is Bernard CER he puts everything into this race Ronan ronan’s run

Was so smooth like it was so smooth I’m I’m I’m almost I don’t want to say I’m surprised but I’m I’m surprised like how smooth and perfect it is but like like you said here we go Bernard Kerr number one qualifier the last man to drop then

Here we go can Bernard Kerr make it for Red Bull Hardline wins an aggressive start quick out there that first stop State staying up high there straight line down this is where he is so comfortable on this steep stuff off this drop he comes quick over

The top of there as well hopping over pre jumping into that the only Riders we’ve seen doing that com is super precise through these Rock Gardens oh back in steps out a little bit that’s good though he’s pushing on through the rock garden he goes safely through there no problems

Whatsoever nice straight exit that’s right a little bit inside we see dabs the break a little bit into that turn coming off the back of his best two World Cup Seasons fifth in 22 sixth overall in the World Cup last year still searching for that first World Cup

Win so what’s the clock going to stop out8 back there nearly n of a second all right let’s see what happens pressure he’s To oh coming in this is Jump yeah going to go for the G he ped that yesterday in the wet made it look easy today didn’t pull that hard an indication he’s moving and he knows how important this jump how important this turn is in this ction

Told me that this is the turn on the entire you have to concentrate on losing only 05 yeah still in touch still less than a second off but don’t forget the Ron and dun was phenomenal all the way down this course absolutely so car under real pressure here oh looks fast pumping

Tucking squashing the jumps 34 years old now but getting bare and better it seems yeah really has come into his own these last couple of years that’s second at Snowshoe and he said a lot of it’s been developing the bike learning how the Bike Works AA across this camera

Couldn’t stay high goes low but looks like he’s carrying a lot of speed hits both the BMS a little bit dives into that dust stood up perhaps on the exit a touch losing point four in there get off The Brak you go I think he’s off the break don’t you worry about

That oh he I don’t know he’s going to have to push harder than he has down here and and he’s really going into these outsides really into the dust cut those ones a little bit more there OT looks to be carrying great Pace but he needs to

Find nearly a second it’s a tall order I would say a tall order and there’s not much time left no there’s not sprints on off the container 2.2 back now he’s not going to do it I’m sure of it bed coming down towards the line it’s

Going to be him or it’s going to be r d here that takes this Red Bull Hardline tasmia he comes back carry lays it flat he goes second 1. into the red and it’s the wind incredible run from the young Irishman well no surprises to see that

Coming he is a phenomen and today he has won his biggest race today amazing for Rand amazing for Ireland what an incredible run that was a what a race I mean it was insane to see the level of riding that Ronin just put down almost perfect the entire way down

Setting up so perfectly linking the track from top to bottom whether it was the Steep stuff the fast stuff or the was just on another level yeah boy well good to see Verner taking on the chin you can’t argue with that nearly a two second Gap I mean I think

It was really down to to me it was about the line choice at the bottom we saw Ronin really taking a lot of those insides and the the BMS have just gotten so blown out y that I think it robbed a lot of it speed look at that then George Brer

Going to fine third place backing up that incredible qualifying run mattio inz just finishing ahead of corner Conor fering for top fth Brook MacDonald first time out at this level on that forid forbidden bike just outside the top 10 just ahead of back to mayal Pon comes in 13 big gaps once you

Get down the order of course on a track like this though not really what you wouldn’t expect Gracie hemry incredibly taking a 20 second today beating Reed bogs and Thomas Janan and again Lise Ferguson nailing that jump that last jump just in time for that finals run

What a day what a run let’s enjoy this then the winning run Ronan has gone and done it oh man and I mean he’s just coming into his own I mean he was doing stuff that nobody else was doing like I said hopping off of that ledge new team

This year riding from mandre teammates with Dak Norton on a Pro atype bike actually a couple of weeks ago in Guatemala at the DHD Vulcan said here they shipped him a stock downhill bike for this one and he’s been riding it so so well his bike even got here he’s had

A day less practice than everyone else I mean you know those things can really go against you you can almost never catch up but the confidence of this young you could see in the rock guard just hopping like way into there but like I was saying he’s setting up wide like

Look how far how close to the tree he is there look how much he pops out of that turn to get up high we saw people kind of making that mistake where they were teeing off the turns breaking just a little bit too much and Ronin was just able to link everything so

Smooth you know for someone so young it was an incredibly mature run as well he didn’t push well because this track is easy to override super fast but all of this stuff because as a rider you always want to break as late as you can but I think

When you see runs like this what they’re doing is actually just letting off the braks a little bit earlier you know him oh he absolutely laid into that right he was like he set up way higher than everyone else so I think like you said it was an experienced run because he

Actually had better lines than every single other person on theill Hill today and I think that that was actually what made the difference super smooth through here styling it out it’s definitely an interesting transition for him to be on a factory team that it makes a lot it makes a big

Difference well that’s right we might this year judging by today we’re going to see the exactly this set a tone definit set a tone a full team of people behind him the whole MRE team was actually down there in guala he’s going back to Queenstown after this continue preparing for the

Upcoming season for that Gap there interestingly T said some of the Riders saying it was quicker around the inside done proven it might be definitely he didn’t even have to pick up out of that turn going so quick you can see like he just he avoided everything that he

Needed to this is such a good run this is a speed run yeah he is not messing about he’s not putting that front wheel anywhere he shouldn’t and and the difference between this and a World Cup like I said and and T said you have at a

World Cup you have an entire team up on the hill people taking videos you walk the track after every day and Ronin probably did maybe five runs the entire week before this one yeah and so it was just a kind of a flash viewing of the track and he was

Able to pick out all of these little spots that’s right that won him the race A Star is Born everybody ronand dun wins Red Bull Hardline Tasmania absolutely phenomenal run some boy some [Laughter] boy 21 years old half a second off the win in Snowshoe last year it was ocean

Another Irishman young Irishman that took the win there okay well let’s go down and find out who is the rider of the week ladies and gentlemen our BF Goodrich Rider of the week as voted by our Red Bull Hardline athlete athletes is Gracie hem Street the first woman ever to complete

A full run of a Red Bull Hardline track and then to race it congratulations Gracie Bri’s going to get in there and interview her here she is when she can get her grazy’s like not now not now hang on I’ve got this massive trophy I need to

Show off for a bit is she go I just enjoy these pictures anyway Gracie congratulations youve won W Rider of the week voted by your fellow Riders what does that mean to you oh it means so much I oh my God yeah I don’t to say

  2. The drone cam was awesome through the trees ! , the way it couldn’t keep up showed us how mental this event really is 🔥🔥🔥

  3. Great to Hear the Dulcet Tones of Sir Rob Warner MTB on the Commentary (UCI🥱) The TRUE Voice of Mountain Biking !! (Just a Shame the Video is VHS Quality) Come On RB / YT – its Not 1987 😞

  4. When are redbull gonna up the bitrate on their streams? This blocky mess is shameful in 2024. This is a high speed sport, you cant be putting out this trash its hard to even see whats happening in a lot of sections.

  5. How come their riding position is so relaxed and tall and they rail everything hard ?

Meanwhile I'm hinging low in "attack position " or else I'll wipeout on corners

  7. I gotta give it to L.A. Ferguson.
2 big crashes and not only did she have the mental to finish strong, but big up to the bike company for making such a fantastic piece of equipment to withstand the crashes and hold strong to keep her going to make it to the bottom.
Her resilience made it a run to remember

  8. Notice how Rob's partner commentator jinxed Goldstone – within seconds of his saying how smooth and precise Jackson is, down he goes. Commentators, stop complimenting riders during their race!!! And Rob, thanks for toning down the yelling!

  9. Louise crashes hard at 29:20 right in front of 3 young girls. She then proceeds to get up, get on her bike and nail the biggest jumps on the course. Those three girls will NEVER forget that! Freaking amazing stuff!!!!

  10. Great presentation! I am a die hard "analog" bike fan but I also own a pedal assist 160mm full suspension E-bike for "rest days". I've been debating getting a suspension fork specific front rack like the Topeak M1 and using it to commute back and forth to work. I do prefer the feel of a traditional bike but I can't deny that the ebike is a blast. I've been able to squeeze 60+ miles with minimal climbing out of the 750wh battery on my Scott Patron so it could definitely be worthy of an overnight bike packing trip.
