Introduced to a wide range of music at a young age by two uncles who were also aspiring artists. When he was eleven years old, he decided he wanted to be a deejay, and started creating his own lyrics. Adidja released his first single, “Love Fat Woman,” in 1993 under the

Moniker Adi Banton, which he picked as a tribute to his role model Buju Banton. J-A. THE Weekend Star went to see the deejay in Kingston, where he showed off his new bike. He refused to reveal the sum he paid for the automobile; nonetheless, other publications confirmed it. Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a line of big luxury sedans built by Mercedes-Benz,

A German automobile, bus, coach, and truck manufacturer. Vybz Kartel told The Weekend Star about his new car, saying, “The vehicle is a dream to drive.” “No deejay ever owned an S-Class Benz. This Benz is the flagship of the Benz lineup, which means it is a top-tier

Benz.” Money me a look, where you deh! Number 2 Land: Despite being incarcerated for 13 years, legendary dancehall musician Vybz Kartel is making big investments, and appears to be focused on creating generational prosperity for his family. Vybz revealed details about some of the houses he purchased for

His family, in an Instagram post on Friday, September 24, 2021. Vybz stated that after his son turned 18, he purchased a larger house for his parents, and transferred properties into his son’s name. Vybz also said that he bought his son 8.9 acres of land to commemorate

His grandson’s birth. His instagram post: “Just bought bigger house for my parents on the hill and transferred two properties in my son’s name for his 18th birthday,” the deejay wrote. Number 3 Record Label: Adid-jahiem Records is the deejays record company, which was created

In 2003 following the birth of Likkle Vybz, Vybz Kartel’s son. Following his breakup from Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel aka Addi di Teacha, founded his own artist alliance, known as the ‘Portmore Empire’ to promote the abilities of a collection of artists in order to propel them to great

Careers in the music industry. “Portmore Empire is about a group of artists coming together for the betterment of music, a musical unit covering artists, selectors, cassette man, everybody. Its origin is in Portmore, but it nuh limited,” These are Kartel’s own remarks from spring 2007. At the time, the Portmore Empire featured musicians such

As Avalanche, Nuclear, Deva Bratt, Shawn Storm, Blak Ryno, Omeil from Spanish Town, dubbed the “first lady of the Portmore Empire,” and Likkle Danger from Spanish Town. Many new artists joined the Gaza Family, while some, such as Lisa Hyper, Gaza Kim, Blak Ryno, and

Jah Vinci, departed the Camp permanently, but the Empire’s rise is indisputable. Not-Nice! Dem want fi war me! So me send for mi army. Number 4 Clarks: Vybz Kartel, a dancehall performer, brought Clarks shoes back into fashion. In the spring of 2010, the Jamaican dancehall rapper released a track dedicated

To his favorite consumer goods. The song was a tremendous hit on the island, and retailers around Jamaica reported selling out of the shoe Vybz Kartel was singing about. The huge surprise was the song’s subject: not Cristal champagne, or diamonds, but a pair of shoes

Created by a 185-year-old family business. Vybz Kartel’s single was titled Clarks, and the cover included images of his favorite Clarks shoes, the Wallabies, Desert Boots, and Desert Trek shoes from the Original “heritage” collection, of which he claims to own over 50 pairs.

Number 5 Tattos: Vybz Kartel had a day at the University of the West Indies on March 11, 2011. Professor Carolyn Cooper invited Kartel to give a talk titled ‘Pretty as a Colouring Book: My Life and My Art’, and he did not disappoint. A large crowd gathered,

Waiting for Addi the Teacha to arrive. Kartel arrived prepared to debate and defend the bleaching of his skin, complete with a PowerPoint presentation detailing his passion of tattooing. Kartel explained: “My skin marks (no pun intended) many milestones in my life and represents

Another form of expression for me. Example: The teardrops on my face are in memory of my close friends who have died. My sons’ names on my arms represents their birth and celebrates their life. You have the Gaza thug on my knuckles which represents the community

I am from, the nickname of the community, and on my chest I have Love is Pain.” ‘Until the color of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eye’ Kartel said, flipping the script by recalling Haile Selassie’s famous words to the United

Nations in 1963, quoted by Bob Marley in his song War. Kartel’s use of Selassie’s eloquent anti-racist remark to justify his own skin lightening may appear offensive, but it is also an insightful appeal for a post-race model that does not automatically associate

Bleaching with low self-esteem, or racial self-hatred. Anywhere mi go my bible dey near me. Number 6 Cake Soap: Vybz Kartel introduced his line of skin bleaching products in 2011. He said that his first batch of cake soap was totally sold out within a few days of

Its debut. When THE WEEKEND STAR phoned one of the establishments advertising as a sale location for the product, a representative confirmed that there was a high demand for the product, with several consumers approaching the establishment about buying it. Kartel originally stated that he used cake soap, a bleaching agent, to lighten his skin, and

Make his tattoos more visible. According to Vybz Kartel, whitening your complexion is no different than straightening your hair or tanning. Vybz Kartel said: “We didn’t anticipate that the units would move so quickly,” he said while explaining that the more than 2,000 units were sold off in Falmouth. But we seh badmind!

Yardie seh badmind! Dem call it jealousy. Number 7 Clothing Line: Vybz Kartel’s apparel line is Vybz Ware. He has been quietly expanding. Shoes, dogtags, authentic Vybz Kartel tees (with skulls and AK-47s), and Gaza-fist belt buckles are currently available in three Kingston stores. “Fans from the United States and Europe

Are already asking when Addi’s clothing line will be available in their areas,” Vybz at the time stated,  a teaser for his worldwide audience, the clothing brand is currently strutting its stuff on Facebook, although the items are not yet available for purchase online. Vybz told us he was intending to get into the footwear, and fashion business, after

His Popcaan collaboration “Clarks” impacted the UK shoemaker’s bottom line far more than his own back in 2011. Number 8 Rum: Gaza Vybz Rum, created by Dancehall Icon Vybz Kartel, combines a delicious fruity scent with 100% real Jamaican rum. Vbyz Kartel has the law on his side with his new operation,

Gaza Vybz Rum. The Star discovered that, despite the fact that the controversial artist has been in prison for years, there is no rule barring him from engaging in economic activities, such as the launch of his new rum. This is Kartel’s second foray into the liquor sector, following

Street Vybz Rum, which was debuted in 2008, and was a collaboration between the deejay and businessman Corey Todd. Production was halted in 2011 due to a disagreement between the two guys. “We are going to hit the marketplace hard. We are already getting a lot of orders

All over the island, and in Caribbean islands such as Trinidad,” Gaza spokesperson, Jeffrey Hype, said. “If a the old Wallabee’s, me no care weh yuh have, make sure you no bow, fi the pair weh yuh have.” This is the end of Top 8 Luxury Buys Vybz Kartel. Make sure
