Found this one pros and cons of living in Manchester okay um so there are pros and cons yeah uh one of the pros for me is that I’m very close to the football club that I grew up with so I can go to the games um cons the weather cons are
Well laundry list of cons I’m thinking like to see what the pros and cons out weigh each other cuz you know commuting is easy the not to get around is pretty pretty easy it’s pretty straightforward um but let’s see what the uh the learning can scene tell us about the
Pros and cons of living in Manchester Okay pros and cons of living in Manchester although Manchester might not be the first city that comes to mind when thinking about relocating to the United Kingdom the city is rapidly developing into a popular Des just want to say something before we start on the
Video we did the other day about uh New York and London yeah I was asking a question about let us know uh when you come to the UK do you always go to London got quite some good good answers in the comments I like I like the
Answers a lot of people put one guy’s coming over um he’s due to fly out tonight oh wow yeah and he’s flying into London but then he’s going to like uh him and his wife are coming they’re coming to Manchester okay but one of the things I never even thought of where
He’s going and I thought yeah bet that’s a big destination now rexen right yeah so he’s going to the match at rexon he’s a big sports fan and I can’t remember I’m pretty sure he’s flying from somewhere he’s either Austin Texas or Memphis Tennessee one I can’t remember
Which one it was but you know I was reading the comments today yeah and uh yeah someone mentioned that so welcome to the UK destination for people from the United Kingdom as well as those from other countries who are looking to begin a new chapter in their lives living in a
Metropolis just like living in any other city in the globe comes with its share of benefits as well as drawbacks the following is a list of some of the most important pros and bonds with relocating to Manchester that should be considered before making a final Choice Pros consider one rent is
Affordable in comparison to that of London the price of living in Manchester is 32% lower for now rather of immediately purchasing a home in the neighborhood of their choice many individuals first test the market by renting a home there this is something to consider doing since the location
Could not be to your taste or live up to the standards you have set for it many people are able to live in a highly desired location that they otherwise may not be able to afford to live in because of the availability of rental housing in that location and a growing number of
Individuals are coming to the realization that renting a house rather than purchasing a property may make more financial sense for them living in Manchester there is a variety of housing available to suit the needs of expats looking for either a contemporary apartment in the heart of the city or a
Cozy Family House in the surrounding suburbs in recent years Manchester has experienced an increase in the number of new property projects which means that there is little question that new newcomers will find a home that is suited for them this is because Manchester is trying to accommodate the city’s Rising
Population moving to Manchester will definitely provide you more house for your money than many areas in the south of England and the city has a better work life balance than the majority of other cities in the United Kingdom because I agree with that 100% yeah
There’s a lot of if you go out Friday night it’s mobbed with office workers they all go out after after work I don’t think that’s just a fright I think London is just the same but I think in London um I mean I’ve been on our London
Offices when we know when have been down there and stuff like is they do go out they do have the same sort of thing they do have the same ethics as what we have up here but I think you go out on a Monday and they’re all out from the
Office yeah Monday afternoon Tuesday afternoon you go pubs in Manchester and Tuesday like in the afternoon there’s always people in there from offices people social a lot it’s a big social massive Social Scene yeah more so than London I think you’re probably right the overall cost of living in Manchester is
Lower than in a lot of areas in the South Manchester provides excellent value for money as a location for your new house because it is less expensive due to the neighborhood’s high demand and limited Supply apartment rents in the northern quarter are often the highest in the city those who are
Ready to live farther out in the city and make use of the city’s outstanding public transport sport networks will definitely save money on rent which means they will have more money available in their budget to spend on other things such as entertainment or other charges two good public transport yeah
The public transportation while you’re living in Manchester is among the best in the country in addition there is a tram service that operates quite effectively and often as well as a free shuttle bus that provides service to the retail Center as well as the major rail terminals the M60 m62 and M6 freeways
Can all be reached without any difficulty there are four main Railway stations in Manchester which provide connections to every significant City within the UK Additionally the Manchester International Airport is located around 17 km 12 Mi outside of the city three lots of job opportunities if you have experience in
A variety of fields such as Finance law biotechnology or digital media you will discover fantastic prospects if you want to work while living in Manchester Manchester is a metropolitan region that is quite active and because of this you will find wonderful opportunities here the work Market in Manchester is also
Significantly less competitive than the job market in London making Manchester the ideal location for people who are just starting out in their careers four locals are friendly because of its extensive Musical herit AG Manchester is often recognized as the music capital of the United Kingdom those who call Manchester
Home will be spoiled for Choice when it comes to the live music they want to hear whether it be Jazz classical indie or electronic music the majority of tourists that visit the United Kingdom often begin their trip in London and frequently remark on how unwelcoming the locals of the Metropolis may be in
Manchester things won’t be like that at all it is probable that expats will find the locals here to be kind interested and often ready to strike up a discussion with them the city’s long history of immigration has resulted in a population that reflects a wide range of cultures newcomers visiting the city
Will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of the city’s cultural amenities ranging from Chinatown to the curry mile five Curry M Manchester is connected one of the busiest bus routes in all of Europe is located in Manchester which is home to the city’s bus station
The city’s strong bus and tram networks make it relatively simple for newcomers to navigate their way about the area quickly and easily in addition since there are several different service providers operating on comparable routes bus tickets continue to be priced in a manner that is competitive with one
Another in the past Manchester was well recognized for having a reputation for being extremely unfriendly toward bikes for cyclists in theity City getting around might be challenging due to a number of factors including road Works heavy traffic and a Darth of designated bike Lanes however in recent years the
City has spent a significant amount of time and money into developing infrastructure in order to make it possible for commuters to bike in a safe manner six free and great health care free the global livability index published by The Economist in 2018 named Manchester the most livable City in the
United Kingdom the factors of Education medicine crime statistics and social harmony are used to determine the rankings those living in Manchester will also have recourse to Affordable and highquality medical treatment via the National Health Service NHS I must admit we do have one of the best hospitals
Probably in if not one of the best hospitals in the world I would say yeah cuz it’s a it’s a renowned heart uh where yeah where we are we’re right in between the hospitals though withen Shaw is not really the closest to us I’d get to within Shaw quicker than
Any other hospital because of the traffic but no no because of the the motorway link We if I go down the motorway from our house I’m right out windsh hospital within three years I understand that but if you were go in the opposite direction You’ get to the
Hospital in the same time if there was no traffic what hospital um Central Manchester no what’s it called General sford Royal Salford Royal no I’m not going there why car get nexted well if you need medical help I could still go within show mind probably get
Ni there as well which will cost them very little if anything at all moving to Manchester will give you access to a number of highquality public hospitals that provide treatment that is on par with the best in the world patients are responsible for the cost of some prescriptions however the government
Often subsidizes these costs which results in the medications being much less expensive overall cons one lower salaries compared to London salary levels in Manchester are notably lower compared to those in London as well as other big European capitals despite the fact that there is no shortage of employment options in
Manchester it should not come as a shock to learn that the mean income in London is 28% higher across the board for all positions compared to the average wage in Manchester since London is the capital when it comes to Information Technology the average income in London
Is £57,000 but in Manchester it is only £45,000 if we narrow our attention to software Engineers the pay in London is £48,000 while in Manchester it is only £37,000 two weather it is not an exaggeration to say that Manchester is plagued by persistent precipitation and overcast sky on a regular basis SK today
However people in Manchester don’t let the rain stop them from having a good time so if you want to have as much fun as they do you need to get a sturdy umbrella although there aren’t many clear skies in Manchester the residents always make the most of them when they
Do appear as soon as the sun makes an appearance you can anticipate seeing parks and beer gardens teaming with families and college students alike three long waiting lists in hospitals the United Kingdom has very lengthy waiting lists for a number of different therapies it is feasible to get around them by investigating the
Choices of available in the private sector however due to the high cost of private healthcare in the UK those who have continuous health problems or who suffer from a chronic condition and who want to use private Health Care Services should consider purchasing an all-encompassing insurance coverage four lots of
Students that’s not a con no lots of students I enjoy the student Community yeah um around this area um especially now when you go to do you know we go to the game and we sometimes cut through Manchester at the top where to cut around the traffic traffic is bad when
He cuts through and we get to the top of there around human um going into Manchester side student living it’s all student living right but how busy is he there it’s packed but they’re all walking around it’s hustle and bustle and I love that yeah and it’s uh you can
See every sort of like uh ethnicity as well you can I mean obviously you can tell like uh know the the um Asians from you know the Africans or from the even the Eastern Europeans you can like tell I love it I think it’s absolutely brilliant where and where we live it’s a
Massive student are is a massive student area and the they’re from all over the place and a lot of them when they finished their studies and they get a job they stay in Manchester they don’t go back to where they’re from and it’s said but I don’t think that I wouldn’t
Put that down as a con for having of students because I love the student Community they keep the bars busy they keep the restaurants going they’re all happy they’re all happy they’re all just happy gol lucky just walk by carry on get businesses and the way they dress
Quirky yeah they are very quirky and it’s I I think that’s a pro rather than a con I enjoy the student Community me Manchester is home to a significant number of students due to the city’s concentration of four institutions in such close proximity to one another some
Folks can find it annoying to be continuously surrounded by huge groups of young people who seem to be having a good time living farther away from campus inrich communities on the other hand makes it possible to sidestep the majority of the student population five Young lessness that’s everywhere with one in every 81
Residents suffering homelessness the local Authority for Manchester city is ranked third highest in the UK for the number of homeless persons per capita behind only Luton and Brighton according to the monitor an increasing number of families and children are being driven into poverty as a result of the
Worsening cost of living problem which is hitting families finances hard as inflation continues to Skyrocket and energy prices appear certain to increase again man’s got pet bomb I was going to say it really pisses me off when they they put homeless person like that and they always have like a bottle of vodka
Or bottle of whiskey or something like most homeless people are not like that no they’re genuinely you know on their ass and need help I I think the vast majority if you give them money they will spend it on the wrong things yeah you know it’s um I remember one guy
Begging me for money once in town and I went what do you need it for what what you going to spend the money on say if I give you 20 quid what are you going to spend the money on and he went I’ll go straight into the hostel I said how much
Does the hostel cost he says4 P I went okay I’ll take you to the hostel and he went nice one packs all the up and starts walking I went M it’s 20 quid ain’t going with you but I tested him and he was he was genuinely going to the
Hostel and that’s what I’m saying I know there are the ones that that you know are like you know on the streets because they were druggies or something like that and they continue to be but there’s also a hell of a lot of people who are
Just few I I I mean you know what I’m like I talk to them all the time to see what they to where the red spaces out make sure they’re safe more than anything um I don’t I try not to give them money because I know a lot of them
Just going going to waste it um but the ones you can trust yeah give them a little bit of money if they’re going to go to the the hosts and get a roof over there and get get shower and changed and you know be able to wash the clothes or
Whatever they need to do you know to like Live Another Day on the street sort of thing but um you know there’s a guy I speak to quite regular um we got we got friends in common actually and he’s just fell down on his lock he’s nothing he
Can do he’s been couch surfing and he’s he’s not a drinker no he’s just just very unlucky he like my my friend Tracy she takes him wafs and Strays all the time bling dangerous especially carrying petrol bmbs around with them like this guy again in the near future according to the findings of
The study more than one in four children throughout the area are living in poverty at the same time the number of food banks and other lowincome assistance providers that are providing people’s fundamental food requirements has doubled over the course of The Last 5 Years the statistics come from many important sectors including education
Healthare the availability of fuel and food and child poverty Manchester is now a contemporary and Cosmopolitan city with a flourishing local culture and all of the conveniences and accommodations that one would anticipate finding in a big metropolitan area there is no denying the fact that Manchester is responsible
For a great number of significant contributions to the culture of the world thank you for watching this video culture of the world yeah there you go well there was the uh we have the Industrial Revolution kick yeah but it was cold cottonopolis for many years but I think with Manchester one of the
Things he doesn’t touch on there as well is Sport yeah I know Sport’s a big part of my life and um or our life and it it didn’t touch on it there but Sports it’s gotten abundance of wealth of sport in this area you know with the cycling
Centers the running uh the running stuff we’ve got going on cricket ground Cricket football we got we got two of the probably best clubs in the world yeah um and then right on the doorstep as well you’ve got Liverpool which is right there you it’s only 27 miles away
To Liverpool so it’s then leads isn’t that far away neither so you’ve got like the vast wealth of what you’ve got with Sport and sporting capabilities you’ve got the swimming centers we’ve got the know the Aquatic Center we’ve got uh like I said this before cycling V Drome
It’s just it’s just one of them places where for me to leave Manchester I mean we’ve done it we we’ve moved different parts of the world but when I left Manchester it wasn’t nowhere near what it is today yeah and it’s come so far in
Such a short time and it’s a it’s an actually tremendous City and I’d say to anyone if you visiting the UK okay don’t leave Manchester out and definitely get involved in the the music scene the sports scene uh the student scene yeah that’s what gives Manchester his flavor
If you ask me music Sport and students you know and it’s uh and you’ll love it yeah can’t go wrong with that talk to people because they will talk back yeah yeah just don’t talk to students just don’t talk to students to the pain in the ass they’re not the lovely actually
I can say I think that’s that’s the flavor of the city and uh obviously we’re a multicultural city as well they’re know very d very uh very open to anyone coming to visit there’s no there’s no lock down a of anyone that you can’t come because of whatever you
Are if you remember as well we met a group of young kids that we thought we thought they’d finished just finished their a levels I thought didn’t think one of them was old enough to drink so we were like oh you know you finished just finished your a levels and they
Were like no we’ve just all become doctors yeah yeah I was like what old here you they’re all like 25 26 I thought about 17 18 I’m like I think you drink we are I know that’s probably what no they did look young they did yeah but anyway that’s uh that’s Manchester for
You yeah that’s our hometown mhm so if you like to visit you know what to do yeah anyway hope you enjoy be with us yeah you can have a beer that’s absolutely right that’s what I said to the guy coming over from the USA I said
If you’re maner you got a spare hour only 20 minutes out of town you know so if uh wherever you’re staying just give me a shout I can meet you for a bit yeah anyway uh hope you guys enjoyed it don’t forget like And subscribe and we will

I've been to Manchester a couple times, the first thing we noticed was the airport security taking ages, they checked every bag from everyone, I heard that might have been because of the terror attack during that concert a few years back though. I liked the city, It had lots of bars and restaurants and cool stuff to check out, but it was not the prettiest, It was kind of bland and dark.
Those who need a Coronary bypass in Switzerland with insurance actually get flown to Wythenshawe, Manchester. It’s world class for heart surgery.
I love how there is maybe like 10% of the images in this video are actually from Manchester and the rest is stock videos anyone can purchase. Just makes the video cheesy.
Wrong! The Cleveland Clinic is the number one hospital in the world especially for Heart and Cardio vascular illness. Look it up.#RN OHIO
I've been researching moving to the UK for 7-8 years now. If I were to move there it would probably be Newcastle or Liverpool, due mainly to the lower cost of living compared to Manchester. I think that Manchester is more expensive because you are paying for proximity to a major airport, football (City and Man U), more amenities/restaurants/bars, better job opportunities, etc. I think that you can still have a good time in Liverpool or Newcastle, and it is cheaper.
I'm going to Manchester next Feb. or March to watch a Man. U. match (or two, hopefully) so this video is much appreciated. 😉 I usually watch their games with the local Reds fan club here in Austin.
I think private health care doesn't have any hypochondriacs.
Happy Mothers Day to G! 😊
Ive been planning on taking a trip to visit Liverpool, might have to do Manchester also. Been getting suggestions of New Castle, Brighton, Luton, and Blackpool. Are they nice also?
My 3rd & 4th great grandparents were both born in Manchester and both worked in the Cotton Mills in the early 1800s! They immigrated to Philadelphia!
Ground Zero of the Industrial Revolution. The Holy Land of the modern world. Respect.
Better than being a mackam
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for.
3:53 is that Aiden?
So healthcare is free but you have to wait for a long time? Tell us about your healthcare, since I asked on your office blokes channel once the giant ginger started bad mouthing the healthcare of the USA?
Why does Manchester need an airport. You can drive anywhere in the country and be they're in 4 hrs.
Do a calab with l"3wg reaction"
This guy left out the best part of Manchester–it's the home of The Office Blokes and OBDaz!
If i were to move to the UK I'd rather live in or near Manchester over London. London is only a 3 hour drive
Thanks for showing us your city🎉
Cons…home of United and City. #YNWA
I wish I would've known some people in Manchester when I visited in 2016.. I was quite sketched out more times than I would have liked, and it wasn't a very friendly place to be an American. People were quite vocal about it too. I think at the time there was quite a bit of Trump derangement hysteria going on, so that could have been a big factor. Lovely city overall though, just felt it was quite cold and unwelcoming at that time.
"Lots of opportunities." Then look at the way he shot a look at Gaynor. LMAO
