He knows looking around that he’s a better climber than there we go Remco AO early on the climb wants to try and Shake It Up Early immediately Jorgenson’s onto his wheel who’s going to respond to that is it vlasov or is it rogich there thereabouts and where more

Interestingly is Branda magnel well he’s up and onto the wheel of vlasov vlasov in turn is just riding back towards Remco AO but the first little salvos fir well Bernell I think will be relieved that he’s he’s oh here we go again it’s Remco not hanging around this time magal a little bit

Quicker to respond Jorgenson’s quickly onto the tail of scale moose but oh and here it comes again aull goes almost inevitable Jorgenson quickly latches onto the tail of the Belgian Rider and Brandon mcnalty knows there’s only one way to play this he’s got to follow these Riders follow them all the way a

Little bit of daylight starts to emerge a b will persevere with this one Genson welded to his back wheel and magnel looks behind he’s not going to get any help from gr shner will he get any help from any of the other Riders of course he’s got a world time trial champion in

Front of him in the shape of rco AOL a little bit of extra distance between themselves through the finals a couple of hairpins towards the top of the penultimate classified climb of the day with still a few lumps and bumps along the way capital of the the local region

Formerly part of ancient liua between the VAR and the magra rivers and boom decline begins C deat Shamar is the appointment and vlasov starting to feel it so for all that it looks like a steady tempo being set by rco AO there’s the truth of it it’s a really demanding

Effort and vlasov who’s all in for stage honors well just running out of legs here is going to try and ride Mato Jorgenson off his wheel he knows that an ambush is very unlikely doesn’t want to little flick of the elbows as if to say there’s a little

Bit of uh Road Furniture here out of the saddle for AO the orgon still welded to his back wheel only he will know just how in control he is he looks absolutely metronomic har 2024 and Remco aul has not been able to shift the American mat Jorgenson looks pretty good at the

Moment keep as much weight on the back wheel Maximum Traction Required and 150 m to the top and jorens has passed the test I think MCO aipo set a a Relentless tempo [Applause] and the local fans know just how demanding this one is they’ll stay and cheer them all to the top of the hill all that are still left in a race

Of attrition it’s been up and through V plunging back towards nce control of the situation and was that about the fact that Remco just moved slightly to his right as Jorgenson was coming off his wheel or was five to go The Descent has been more or less dealt with we’ve got another

Tiny little lift towards the finish line but it’s in the last couple of few kilm but nothing terribly demanding he’s starting to celebrate 1600 M you can think about celebrating for Brandon magnotti a bitter sweet moment trying to preserve his situation on General classification Remco a aul

Has done all the riding today the Belgian national road race champion heading to second overall Jorgenson will ride in with them but he’s not concerned about that Remco AO can at least celebrate stage success completes the week in style and glory to the overall winner Matteo Jorgenson that’s a great

S Brandon mcel able to raise a smile and that’s that’s a generous response isn’t it that’s a good photo isn’t it till this year I I never would have believed that this is possible but uh here we are yeah I could barely sleep last night to

Be honest with you I was so nervous and yeah felt for the first time in my life pressure and uh yeah to have it come together like that and to ride in with such a champion like Remco and it was just uh a really special moment

    1. Jorgenson won the race, and Evenepoel lost the race looking at Roglic, couple of stages earlier. When in hindsight Jorgenson was the danger man.

    2. Jorgenson gifted Remco that win but he still had to do his arrogant hang-up-the-phone celebration. He is clearly not in the same league as Pogacar and Jonas in terms of skill or class.

    3. Bora has a lot of work to do. The team can't lose this much time in a team time trial. It is a long way to the Tour, but Jay Hindley or Vlasov might end up being stronger than Roglic. Vlasov would have been on the podium here if the team had protected him a bit more in the earlier stages. Roglic could rely on an incredible team at Visma. The situation is more difficult at Bora. Remco on the other hand, is strong without a strong team.

    4. What a race, guy's. I enjoyed every minute of it. Congrats to Matteo and Remco. Remco for trying, attacking, and Matteo for standing tall, not bowing. Deserved winner.

    5. Great race for Jorgenson and very Nice job McNulty since he was isolated without much help from his teammates or anyone else and still kept fighting off numerous of attacks by Remco before he cracked, also after coming off a recent illness… made for an entertaining day !
