Hello, I’m looking to upgrade my bike and looking at these options. I want something lightweight and mostly for road/paved riding. I’d say 80/20 road vs trail (would be hard packed gravel rail trail riding).
The Roadlite 5 weighs 21.83 lbs and seems to have much better components (especially brakes) compared to the 25 lbs X Ambition. This is also reflected in the price point as with the $100 off coupon at Poseidon, the flatbar X Ambition would be $549 usd before tax vs $798 before tax for the Roadlite (that’s for a refurbished Roadlite via their outlet section on their website – see link below).
Anyway, I’m not a very serious rider and just looking for something versatile so I’m leaning at the Poseidon. Another issue is that I cannot test ride either of these so if anyone has ridden one or both, I’d love to hear your experiences!
