After leaving The Philippines I was still craving for Filipino Food.

I found myself in KL, Malaysia on a stopover and remembered that there’s a Filipino mall there. I made a vlog at Kompleks Koata Raya last year: https://youtu.be/flDFhRMfGdQ

I wanted to visit the nice lady in that vlog who made me Halo-halo and showed me around the mall but it seems she quit that job and moved on.

I remembered there was a big Filipino restaurant in the mall called SaPinoy. I saw their menu last time but was already too full to try anything there. This time I visited with an empty stomach.

I wanted to try the “Bulalo” beef soup but as soon as I walked in the staff invited me to join in their staff meal of Sinigang na Baboy. It’s is a sour soup made with pork, vegetables, and tamarind.

I enjoyed a large portion of that, then they made me the Bulalo, which is supposed to be shared by 3 – 4 people but I managed to consume all by myself.

I wanted to finish off with Halo-halo, a sweet Filipino dessert to compliment the Filipino feast that I’d just enjoyed, but I was stuffed. I vowed to return a couple of days later to enjoy my dessert.

And so I took a walk around KL’s Chinatown for a bit, not wanting to take a long taxi ride back to my hotel immediately after filling my stomach.

My stomach was full, but I still had a bit of a thirst walking in the hot and humid weather, so I enjoyed a nice fresh sugarcane juice and pomegranate juice as I wandered around. Eventually I found a place to buy egg tarts so I could take them back to my hotel to enjoy later.

I returned back to Kota Raya, the unofficial Filipino Mall, a couple of days later to finally enjoy a Halo-halo, and also some more Filipino food, as they had a Sunday buffet.

Pinoy Sari Sari. So, guys, I’m in Kuala Lumpur, but I’m in the Filipino Mall, again, that I’ve been before. And I remember this place. Sandra! Hello. Sa Pinoy. – Dale Philip. Madam Sandra. Hello. Hi, again. I remember you. Welcome back. Have a seat. Oh, thank you. I came to try your Bulalo.

Yeah, you want to sit down? – Okay. I remember, the last time, she had Bulalo. Now we have Sinigang. What is this? – Pork Sinigang. Ah. – Sour, sour. Soup sour. Sweet and sour? – Sour, sour. – No, no, not sweet. Sour? Sour and sour? – Yeah. Fully sour?

Have a seat. – Ah, okay. Okay. Sour. Okay. – Yeah, sour, but… I looked for Aling Berna, but she is gone. Yeah, where’s Aling Berna? Yeah, where is she? – What happened? Yeah, you tell me. – I don’t know, also.

I went to her shop. – What happened to Aling Berna? – Aling Berna closed the shop. Ah, I went to her shop and it’s another woman. Yeah? – Yeah. She says, Aling Berna, a long time ago, she left. – Yeah. Just after you came, maybe after one month. Oh, really? Ah, okay.

Ah, I’m sad. Pork with vegetables, in sour sauce. – Oh, it has pork. Pork with vegetables? Okay. – Pork belly. – Take this one. I will try. – I give you for free. You’ll give me for free? I like this price. – Yes, of course.

That’s a good price, guys, free. – It is free for Mr Dale. Okay, good. So you’re sharing this with your friends, or they’re customers? Or staff? – It’s staff meal. Staff meal for today, Sinigang na Baboy. Oh, it’s your staff meal? So every day you make a meal for the staff?

Yeah. – Like that? Around this time, lunch time? – Yeah. Ah, I get it. So, I want you to try. – What is that? Is that one your menu, ube ice cream? – It’s Halo-Halo. Oh, that’s your Halo-Halo, you make it with ube ice cream? – Yes. Yeah.

Is that your one, or that’s just a photo you got from the internet or something? No, this from internet. From internet, yeah, okay. Yeah, it looks really… Ah, okay, – Mr Dale, try Sinigang. What’s it called? Sinigang na Baboy. – Sinigang Baboy. Sinigang bad boy? No, no. – Baboy. Oh, it’s Sinigang.

It’s a pork Sinigang. Oh, it’s called pork Sinigang. – Yeah. And she called me a bad boy? Is that what just happened? I thought she… I thought it was called, Sinigang bad boy, but this is Sinigang and I’m the bad boy. Yeah, yeah. – Okay.

Oh, thank you, so much. – Baboy, it means… Baboy, in Philippines… What is this? – Fork and spoon for you. Oh, okay. I thought this was for drinking or something. This is just like, she gave me the fork and spoon, that’s to keep it clean. – Yeah. Ah, okay. Oh, wow. That’s amazing.

I just walked in and I’ve already got a meal. Like, in less than a minute, I already have a meal in front of me. I’m eating with the staff. It’s the staff meal. So, yeah, I I went to visit Aling Berna… Hello. What’s happening? Are we getting a selfie?

Okay. – I’m following you on my iPad? On your iPad. Yeah. On TikTok or Facebook? – YouTube. YouTube, good. Okay, good. Most… Last time you come here, also you eat in the other restaurant. Yeah, you remember? I’m watching YouTube, you travel a lot. – Oh, you watching? In India and all. – Yeah.

Indonesia. – Okay, good. Yeah, so I went to visit Aling Berna, who, if you had seen the previous video, she was the lady who took me around, introduced me to everyone. But so sad that she’s, she’s gone. Where are you, Aling Berna? Let us know where you are. Nobody know where she went?

She just disappeared? – Maybe she will watch your video. Ah, and she will comment and tell us where she is? Ah, we don’t know if she went back to the Philippines, or she went to another place in KL. I think… I will make a coconut shake.

You will make a coconut shake? – Yeah. Okay, for me? Yeah, for you. – Okay, thank you, so much. Okay, staff are so nice. Hey. Okay. I want to try this. Sinigang bad boy. Baboy. – Sinigang. Sinigang, yeah. I’m the bad boy. I think that’s what it is. I think

This bad boy’s gonna eat the Sinigang. I’ve never heard of this dish before. I tried, when I was in the Philippines, I tried to try all the different things, all the famous foods, but I haven’t even heard of this one, Sinigang. Okay, so it’s always like this with Filipino food,

You get a plate with your rice, and then you get your, like, dishes. And the reason they do it like that is, because it’s a very sharing culture. So as you can see there, they all had a plate of rice, probably, and then they’re sharing this Sinigang from the massive pot. So,

Let’s serve ourselves up some of this pork and sour vegetables. She says it’s sour. Let’s give a… I’m going straight for the pork, guys, straight for the pork. Mmm. That’s not sour at all. It tastes like a bit of like a chicken gravy or something. Doesn’t taste too sour.

And this is pure fat. Look at this. It’s like a massive, a massive piece of fat. Oh. Wow. Oh, yeah. – How is it? Yeah, I’m tasting some of the sourness now. I think it’s just some vinegar. So, guys, if I was gonna describe the taste, I would say, like, a very light

Chicken gravy, with, like, vinegar. Yeah, it’s made with vinegar, right? It’s not vinegar. What, made of what? – We have tamarind. Tamarind? Is that what makes it sour? – Yes. Ah, okay. Tamarind. Yeah, you’re really tasting the sourness with the vegetables and that’s some okra. That’s some okra there. – It’s Dale Philip.

Oh, is this the, is this what they use? Oh, this is a Sinigang, it’s an actual Sinigang seasoning. So they come in packets, sachets, like this? And you just mix it up with water? Ah, okay, that’s what gives the flavour in there, this Sinigang. Okay, we’re getting another selfie.

You already took a selfie. – No, it’s video. Oh, it’s a video. Ah, okay, we’re doing a story. Hey, guys, from Kota Raya, here in Kuala Lumpur. We’re at the Pinoy mall, eating Pinoy food. It’s… It’s Sa Pinoy. Sa Pinoy. – Yeah, Sa Pinoy. Sandra’s restaurant.

And, yeah, it’s amazing that here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you can still enjoy all the authentic Filipino food, because it’s made by Filipino people, so, it’s proper, proper authentic stuff. Really enjoying. – So what do you have for lunch right now? Right now, I have the Sinigang. Oh, Sinigang na Baboy.

Yeah, Sinigang bad… – He’s trying our Filipino food. So the staff were sharing it, when I came in, and they offered me some, so it was really nice. Good hospitality here. So nice. So, I’m enjoying. First time ever eating Sinigang. – Enjoy your food. Okay, see you. Okay, guys, so

Yeah, that’s some okra. What do you call this in Tagalog? Okra. – Okra? Yeah, it’s okra in Tagalog as well. So it’s some okra. I was eating that a lot in Turkish food. They would use that a lot. It’s good. Oh. It’s a real nice texture.

And like I say, when you bite into those vegetables, that’s when you’re tasting the, the sourness. It really does taste like there’s vinegar in there, but she says tamarind for their sourness. Look at that, big old, big old chunk of pork there. Here we go, guys, the vegetables. Ah, I see some,

Looks like some eggplant there, some brinjal. Red onions. And these are like, I think these are like green beans, like the string beans. So very healthy. Just pork meat and vegetables in this kinda Sinigang mixture. Lovely jubbly. Big old chunk of pork here. Big old chunk of pork.

Look, nice and fatty as well. Coconut shake. Coconut shake. – Oh, wow. It’s a fresh coconut. – A fresh coconut? Yes. – Oh, coconut and ice? Yes. Only, or you adding…? – And we add milk. You add milk? – Yeah. Condensed milk, or? Yes, condensed milk. – Oh, condensed milk.

Okay, so coconut, condensed milk and ice. All been put in the blender? Yes. – And make it like a shake? Okay, and there’s actual – Try it. chunks of coconut on top as well. – Yeah. Okay, I will try it. Is it good? Yeah, it’s really… Wow!

Oh, it tastes super fresh, super sweet. It’s ice cold. Super refreshing. Yeah, it’s a good, a good compliment to this meal, the sourness. It takes away the sourness, right away. Okay, yeah, I’ve made a mess of myself. I dunno if anybody noticed, but… Yeah. I dripped it all down myself, guys.

I’m not normally this messy, guys. Honest. A lot of you guys think I’m messy when I eat food. It’s because I’m concentrating on the video as well. When I only concentrate on the food, then I generally don’t spill it so much. Sinigang na Baboy. – Mmm. It’s lovely. – Is it?

Yeah, it is lovely, yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, getting a headache from drinking it too fast. Drink it slowly. I always do that when I get like, like a matcha frappe or something. Something with ice. And it’s so delicious, I just wanna keep drinking it and drinking it. And then I get a headache.

Happens all the time, guys. But, yeah, enjoying this nice, healthy meal. I’m from Baguio city, also. Oh, Baguio. This guy’s from Baguio. One of my favourite places in the Philippines. Baguio man. Shout out, shout out Baguio city. – Okay. Shout out to everyone in Baguio. Okay, shout out to everyone in Baguio.

Okay, good. Okay. Big old chunks of pork. Fatty, fatty, fatty pork. Mmm. Hi, hello, Dale Philip. – Hello. How are you? I’m fine. – You a blogger? No, I’m a TikToker. Oh, you’re a TikToker? – Yeah. Live? I’ve met a TikToker, guys. A famous TikToker, here in Kuala Lumpur. – I’m not famous.

Not famous? What are you doing? Are you making a video or a live or what? – Yes. Like video. – Is this live? Video. Are we dancing or what? No, it’s only singing. Only singing? So what’s the song? Already done. Already done? Okay. I dunno what happened. I thought…

I dunno if we were gonna dance or sing a song or what. But apparently it’s already done. I dunno what we did. Hello. Okay. It’s a picture or video? – It’s a video. Video, ah, okay. – It’s another video. Yeah, I never know,

I never know if they’re taking a picture or a video. And if it’s a video, I’m just like static, and it looks crazy. Because, why is this person frozen? What’s happening? Oh, are we taking another one? – Yeah. Okay. No, it’s a video right now. Oh, it’s a video again?

Oh, okay, so I did it again. I’m frozen, I’m just like… Hello. – Okay. Hi, guys. Yes. We are here in Kompleks Kota Raya, in Kuala Lumpur, at Sa Pinoy restaurant. Yes, it’s good for… – The best Filipino food in this city. Very nice Filipino food. Very pleased to see you.

You are so handsome. Thank you. – Okay, good. Okay. Thank you, so much. – Okay. So, just demolishing this pork, guys. Thank you, so much, Dale. – Okay. I want to order the Bulalo. Can I order Bulalo? It’s big, right? It’s big. For one person okay, or?

No. – For 4 person, it’s fine. 3 to 4 person, actually. Oh, really? – Ah, okay. But, one person can, or? Yeah. A little bit difficult? – I don’t think you can finish. You don’t think I can finish? Oh, that sounds like a challenge to me. She says for 3 to 4 people.

Yes. – It sounds like a challenge. They have just fed me all this, but I’ve still got plenty of room in my belly. Okay, I will… It takes a long time to make, right? The Bulalo? – No. It’s… – 15. 15 minutes? Okay. Yeah, okay, I will order one bowl then.

I will eat here. Okay. Very popular, right? Many people. Always, you have many customers? – Yes. This restaurant is always packed. So this is the popular one in this mall? – You should come here on a Sunday. On a Sunday? Yeah. – Oh, people come after church?

You’ll see this is very, very full. After they go to church they come here? – Yeah. Ah, okay. Ah, okay. Yeah. So I’ll make the Bulalo for you. You will make the Bulalo? – Yeah. The chef. Can I watch or no? Allowed? It says “No entry to the kitchen allowed.”

Wait, let me prepare. – Oh, okay. So, yeah, maybe I’ll get to see behind the scenes at how the Bulalo is made. So, I had something similar to Bulalo in Cebu. Guys, I was looking everywhere in Cebu for Bulalo, and they didn’t have it. They had something similar called Pochero.

It’s like their version of a Bulalo. And what a Bulalo is, it’s like a big bowl of soup, with like a big old bone with tons of beef on it. It’s a beefy, a beefy soup, with vegetables as well. Nice and healthy. You get that combination, with these meals.

The combination of meat and vegetables. You feel like you’re… You feel like you’re eating something wholesome, guys. Something wholesome. I looked up the Sinigang meal on Google, just to find out more about it, and apparently ‘Sinigang na Baboy,’ ‘Baboy’ means pork in Tagalog. I thought they were saying “bad boy.”

I thought they were saying “bad boy.” They were saying “Baboy,” which means pork, so I feel really stupid now, but hey, I learned, I learned a new word. Even, I’ve left the Philippines, but I’m still learning new words. So ‘Baboy’ is pork. Sinigang baboy. And the lady, the chef,

She’s gonna clear all this away and she’s gonna make the, she’s gonna make the Bulalo right in front of me, right here. So, this is the Bulalo cooking up now. This just the meat, right? – Yeah, this the meat. You gonna add the vegetables. Wow. And this is beef? – Yeah.

Yeah, beef leg. – It’s with a bone marrow. Oh, wow, look at the… That’s the bone marrow in here? Oh, wow, look how thick it is. I put in some potatoes. – Wow. It’s a huge, huge soup. So all of this is gonna be like one big beef soup.

That’s why she says it’s for 3 to 4 people. Look how big it is. – Yeah, it’s big. It’s absolutely massive. But, yeah, I can, I think I can manage something like that, as long as I don’t eat rice, I can eat meat all day. I can eat tons of meat and vegetables.

As long as I don’t eat rice, I won’t be too full. Look at the size of it. Wait for the potato to cook. Oh, so you have an order. First you’re doing the corn and potato. – Yeah. Okay, so corn an potato and then… Cooking the vegetable. Ah. Cabbage?

Yeah, long cabbage, Chinese cabbage. Chinese cabbage? Ah, okay, good. Oh, and more okra. Good, I like this. – No, that’s chili. It’s chili? Ah, okay, I thought it was okra. Okay. And this is gas, or? Yes. – Ah, okay. Where does the gas go? Here. Ah. Ah, right, so it’s just these.

You just change them. – Yeah. Ah, okay, good. Yeah. That’s pretty cool. The middle one. Yeah, the bone marrow. Yeah. It’s huge. That’s a huge bone marrow. Look how popular this restaurant is. Hi. – Hi. I seen you last time, right? – Where? I think I seen you before at the salon, no?

Salon. Ah, yeah, I think so. I think I remember you. You’re looking familiar. Okay. Yeah. You come here a lot for the salon and to eat? Yeah. Yes. Ah, okay. – Salon and food. Ah, okay. Okay, good. This is a popular place. Sandra your friend? Yeah. – Ah, okay.

It’s a Filipino authentic here. Yeah, so many Filipinos. Yeah. – Look at this, like, you could think you’re in the Philippines right now. If I look around, I think I’m in the Philippines. Not in Malaysia. Yeah. – Okay. What are you going to eat today? I’m going to eat a Milkfish.

Milkfish? What is Milkfish? – Yes, we call it Bangus. Bangus. – Oh, Bangus. Bangus Sisig? It’s not Sisig, but we call it just Bangus. Oh, why did they write Sisig? They have different, Bangus Sisig but same fish. Ah, but, they maybe use the Sisig seasoning or something? – Yes.

Flavour, for Sisig? – Yeah. Ah, okay. – She is a vlogger as well. You also a vlogger, really? Popular vlogger. – Oh, really? Hey, guys, I met a famous, famous Filipina vlogger. Hi. – Luz Insao. I need selfie, I need selfie. I met a famous Filipina vlogger. – Yes.

On YouTube or Facebook? – YouTube. And what’s your channel name? Luz Insao. Oh my God, I’m shy. Say it clearly so everyone can go to your channel. – Yes. Hi everyone, don’t forget to subscribe, Luz Insao. Lucy in? Luz Insao. Luz Insao? – Yeah. Okay, go to her channel and check her out.

Yeah. – And subscribe. Subscribe, subscribe. Okay. That’s good. Let’s see how my Bulalo is getting on. Boiling away. And is there any seasoning in the soup or it’s just water? Already put seasoning. Ah, there is like a sachet, again, for Bulalo or no? – No, no. We have the beef broth stock.

Oh, beef stock. Ah, so like the cubes? – Yeah. Oh, you use like a beef stock. Okay, so it’s like a, a beef soup, basically. Okay, good. I should order a drink. The shake lady. What do you have? All this fruit. – Oh, wow, what are these?

This one, we can make a fresh orange juice. Apple green. Ah, okay. Oh, mango shakes, she can probably make as well. Yeah. – Then we have also dragon, dragon fruit shake. Ah, okay, dragon fruit, mango, orange. – Orange. Avocado. And it’s all shakes, or you’re doing like fresh juice? Yeah. Okay.

Oh, this where you’re preparing it? Oh, you can do a mix, like this? No, I have to make the What is this? – halo-halo. What is this? – It’s halo-halo. Oh, but that’s the starting for halo-halo? – Yeah. Ah, okay. Ah, I see. Okay. Yeah, I wanna get another shake.

So what do you recommend for a shake? Just now I give you the coconut shake. – Yes. What another shake would you like? Like mango? – Yes, I will order. Yeah, I think mango will be good. Yeah, mango, okay, good. – Alright. Alright. Awesome. Getting a fresh mango shake.

Will be fresh as well. Those, those mangoes look nice and… Fresh mangoes. – Yeah, look at that. That’s a proper… I can just feel. That is perfect, perfect mangoes. Okay. Oh, so all the vegetables have gone in, apart from the cabbage. Okay. What do you call these? I call them string beans.

Yeah, this one is the string bean. String beans, in Tagalog, or? French beans, actually. You call them French beans? In Tagalog we call it Baguio beans. Baguio beans? Oh, because they’re growing in Baguio? Ah, okay, yeah, Baguio’s good for…

They can grow a lot of stuff they can’t grow in the other parts of Philippines. In Baguio I was eating strawberries a lot. The strawberry city. They grow strawberries in Baguio. Yeah, you’ve been to Baguio city? Yeah, Baguio, yeah, I was eating strawberries there. Because they grow, it’s the perfect climate.

Yeah. – Yeah, they can’t grow in like other parts, like in islands. You know. Yeah, the climate is so good. You’ve been to Baguio before? – Yeah. It’s good for… You go for vacation, or…? Yes, I went in 2016, when I went back to Philippines, then I wanted to stay in Baguio.

Ah, okay, for a holiday? for a holiday. – Yeah, it’s good for a holiday, right? Good place to relax. Oh, wow. This definitely is for 3 to 4 people. I can imagine. I could easily imagine, just 4 people, with a plate of rice each, and just taking little portions of that for themselves.

And all 4 of the people feeling full and satisfied. So, yeah, like I said, just as well that I’m not eating this with any rice. So actually took the rice away, so, it’s good. Yeah. I think I can, I can just eat it straight form the… – Hi.

Oh, this is the Milkfish here? Oh, it’s very fried. – Yeah. Ah, okay, so deep fried? – Deep fried. Are you gonna share? – Yes. I was just talking about how Filipinos, they always, like they have the plate of rice and then they share the food like that, yeah. – Yes.

It’s your culture. Yes. – Ah, okay. That’s good. – Sharing is caring. Yes, okay. Okay. That’s cool. Yeah, but I’m not sharing with anyone. Sharing is caring but I’m having all this to myself. Wow. It’s normal that someone will eat one for themselves, or not normal?

Some, if they want to eat, one person, after they eat, take the rest of it. Oh, they take like a bag? – Yeah. And take home? Ah, like that. Ah, okay, yeah. I’ve seen that before, in the Philippines. When I met the boys in Manila, and I took them for some,

What was it called again? Batu batu. And they couldn’t finish it, so they put the leftovers in a bag and took home to eat later. Wow. Check it out, guys. Do you want to join me for a thumbnail? I will take a thumbnail. Yeah. Do you want to stand?

I will take like a thumbnail shot. Okay, I think it’s good. Okay, thank you for the nice thumbnail. Okay, that’s good. More people are gonna click on the video now, because there’s two pretty girls in the thumbnail. It’s not just yer man with a big bowl of soup.

Yeah, the click through rate just increased by at least a few percent. So that’s good. Right, how am I gonna do this? Am I gonna, am I gonna eat it straight from this bowl, or am I gonna put little portions in here? How should I do it?

I think I’m just gonna eat straight from this. Yeah. – It’s too hot. It’s too hot? Ah, yeah. Actually, if I pour small pieces into here, it will cool down better. Smart thinking. Good thinking, yeah. That’s actually true. That’ll take a long time to cool down, this. Oh, guys.

The meat just fell apart. I was ready to start digging in to the meat, and this just ripped right off. Oh. So tender, so incredibly tender. Ohhh! Look at it, guys. Look how tender it is. Look how soft. Just like the pork that I had in that Sinigang,

It’s just boiled and all nice and soft. Mmm. The flavour’s very subtle. Like she said, it’s just like a beef stock. It’s not made with tons of seasoning or whatever, so you are just tasting the nice, nice beef. Nice, nice beefy taste. Guys, I’ve got my head over this bowl. This reminds me…

I’m starting to sweat. This reminds me of like, you know when you have a cold, and you get a hot, a hot bowl of boiling water. You put a towel over your head, to try and like clear out your sinuses. This is what it feels like.

I’m like, my head is over this bowl, this steaming bowl of Bulalo. I’m clearing my sinuses out with Bulalo, right now, guys. I’m gonna push this forward a bit and just eat from here. This is definitely the most sensible way to consume this. Lovely, lovely, tender beef. Mmm.

I should really be eating the vegetables, right? But, I just, I’m definitely gonna finish this beef. There’s no doubt about it. Like, that’s a guarantee. This beef is gonna be finished. And I think the, I’m gonna end it with the, the bone marrow, right here.

I think I’m gonna leave the best for last, the bone marrow. Look how thick that piece of bone marrow is. It’s so thick that I can’t even pick it up with this massive spoon. Like, check that out, guys. Check that out for a piece of bone marrow. That is

Saving the best for last. I’m just peeling off all the beef that’s around it, just now. Mango shake. – Oh, my mango shake. Oh, wow! And just like the coconut, there’s little chunks of mango on top. Yeah. Nice and fresh, nice and fresh. Lovely. Okay, let’s get this, this beef,

Into my bowl. Look at the size This is massive. I’m definitely gonna finish the beef though, guys. Look at the size of this. Bloody hell. It’s like half a cow. I’m eating half a cow right here. Guys, this massive bowl of Bulalo. 55 Malaysian ringgits, which is about 11, maybe 12 US dollars.

So, if you consider this is for like 4 people, it’s like $3 each. It’s pretty decent value if you ask me. Okay, guys, all the meat is done. I’ve just got some bits of bone and cartilage left. But, I’ve gotten all the chunks of beef out of this.

I haven’t even touched the vegetables at all, guys. These, The corn on the cob and the potatoes and all that. I haven’t even touched them, guys. I’m just straight for the beef. I think I’m gonna go for this bone marrow now. Right here. Ohhh. Look at it. So, normally with bone marrow,

It’s like I’m picking up the bone and sucking it out. Like if I have a mutton biryani or something like that, I’m just like sucking out… That’s… Look at the size of that. That’s gonna have to be cut… Oh! Look at that… It’s so soft. It just fell apart. Oh.

Good. The bone marrow, yeah. Wow. That’s amazing, guys. This is delicious. Wow. Mmm. Wow. That’s… Yeah. Definitely… I definitely did save the best for last. That is the best. Mmm. You wee beauty. Right, should I finish off with the vegetables? Yeah, I guess I will be healthy guys.

I guess I’ll have a few vegetables. Oh, there is a, there is a chunk of beef in there as well. Okay, good. We’ll finish off with a wee bit of vegetables. Don’t wanna waste all of this. Although I really don’t know how you would eat this with a fork and spoon.

If I had this in a British meal I would be, like, cutting it up with the knife. But they never use knife in Filipino restaurants. I guess just stab it with the fork and bite it with you teeth. It worked. I think they’ve used butter on this before, before cooking. Lovely.

Nice and creamy. It just squirted everywhere, when I took a bite of that. Luckily I’m eating by myself. I don’t have a… Imagine being on a date and they do that. You just bite into it and it squirts everywhere. What’s going on? That’s you. Oh, that’s me. Look.

They’ve got me on the TV. That’s me eating eating ube ice cream in Manila. Yeah. – Okay, good. Look, everybody’s watching your man, right here. They’re watching one of my vlogs, while I make a vlog. Hello. Okay. That’s good. Amazing. Amazing. Okay. I am actually eating most of the vegetables, guys.

Apart from the potatoes. The potatoes, they’re just like the rice, aren’t they? They’re gonna make you full. But everything else, like, it’s just fibre. There’s very little actual calories in things like these string beans. So, I will actually eat them all. Oh. The soup is tasting better and better, guys. Like,

After the soup’s been absorbing all the meat, all the bone marrow. The vegetables and everything, it’s tasting so much richer and, and more delicious right now, so yeah, I’m just enjoying slurping up the soup. Oh. Super satisfying, guys. Super, super, super satisfying. Oh. Oh. I’m done. Oh, yeah.

Can we take photo? – Okay, sure. I need to pay my bill first. Who’s the boss for the money? Sandra? There, there. Oh, okay, I’ll give to Sandra. Okay, I’ll go and pay Sandra first and then I’ll come back. Okay. Hi. – What are you eating today? Yeah. We already finished the food.

Oh, you finished already? Yeah. – Ah, okay. I’m eating Bangsilog. Bangsilog. Bangsilog? – It’s a Bangus. What is Bangsilog? It’s a fish. Milkfish. Oh, Milkfish, oh, just the same the lady had. Ah, okay, so you call it “Bang?” It’s a national fish from Philippines. Ah, but you call it “Bang?” Bangsilog.

It means Bangus. Bangus, yeah, that’s right. That’s the Filipino name for Milkfish, Bangus. Ah, so when you eat… With egg, with egg. Yeah, Silog is egg and rice. Egg log. Yeah, everything, everything-silog. Tapsilog, porksilog, everything-silog. Yeah, so you had the bangsilog. Yeah. – Okay, the Milkfish. Okay, good.

Okay, I’ll go and… – You like Pinoy food? What’s that? – Filipino food? Yeah, I like it. Yeah, it’s good. Yeah, it’s… And this is proper Filipino food. Because the Filipino staff are making it. Are you a vlogger? – Yeah, I’m vlogger. She is also. – Also vlogger? I keep meeting bloggers.

On YouTube? Yeah. – What is your channel name? ???? Say it again. – Jerelyn Chai. Tell them, clearly. Jerelyn Chai. – Tell them to subscribe. Hi, my name is Jerelyn Chai. Please do subscribe my channel. Please. Oh, she said please. Guys, she said please so you have to do it.

Do you find the Filipina women very beautiful? What’s that, Filipina women? Okay, yeah. I’m doing… They are beautiful but I’m doing my best to stay single. I’m doing my best to stay single guys. Okay. Look, they’ve got these little. There’s loads of these little spongy things as well. I dunno what they are.

Little snacks that they’ve got. Loads of fresh coconuts in here as well. Bulalo. Oh, I had many things. I had mango as well. – No, no, no. No, no, you can… I will pay for everything I had. – No. No, no, no. Asked you to pay for Bulalo.

Yeah, but also I ordered mango. Don’t worry. It’s on the house. No, no. – On the house. And see you again here. Really? Ah. – This is your restaurant here. Okay. I will come back for Halo-halo. Maybe tomorrow or next day. – Yeah, see you tomorrow or the next day.

Yeah, I’ll come for dessert tomorrow. I don’t have room for dessert in my belly, Thank you, Dale. – right now. So, I’ll just have the meal just now, then, guys, I’ll come back and finish off the vlog with some Halo-halo, here, I think.

Yeah, if you want to come on Sunday there’s plenty of food from here. Oh, on Sunday? There is like a buffet. – What do you mean, a buffet, or…? Yeah, yeah, buffet. And you have Halo-halo at the buffet or…? Yeah. Ah, what time, what time starting? From 10 AM to 8 PM.

Oh, wow. – Yes. You come, a lot of people. Ah, really. Ah, so they come after church, right? – Yeah, sure. Yeah, Sunday’s like a big day for Filipino people. You’re very religious people, right? Yes. – Always, yeah. 55, okay. I’m paying extra for the staff. You can give…

You can give to the staff, okay? She gave me a… Thank you. – No problem. No problem. She gave me a discount, so I just give the extra money for a tip for the staff. Okay. Maybe Sunday I will come and see you, okay? See you, guys. – Bye.

See you, everyone. Bye bye. Bye bye. Bye bye. High five. Okay. So cute. I had… Bye bye. They… Hi, bye bye. This… You’re the salon guy? Not the sari sari guy? – Yeah. Okay. I was thinking, maybe I’ll get some snacks to take away. But it’s like,

You know what they say, when you go shopping at the supermarket, and you’re on an empty stomach, you always buy too much, right? I saw you somewhere. – When… You saw me somewhere? Here. You saw me here in Kota, Kota Raya. You saw me here, Kota Raya. – Yeah.

Yeah. – No, I saw you somewhere in my YouTube or TikTok. Oh, yeah, YouTube. Oh, TikTok. Maybe TikTok, yeah. – Yeah. Okay, cool. If you see me again, do thumbs up, okay? Yeah, yeah. – Okay, thank you. Okay, that’s good. Yeah, it’s like when kids that age recognise me, it’s normally from TikTok.

There’s no doubt about it. It was from TikTok. But, guys, you know when you go to the supermarket when you’re on an empty stomach you just come with a whole trolley full of stuff, well when you go shopping on a full stomach, nothing seems appealing at all. Got somebody waving at me.

Nothing seems appealing at all, so I’m not in the mood to buy snacks right now. How are you? – Yes. Ah, okay. You are working here? – Yeah. Oh, this is your stall? Eh, no here. Oh, clothes? – Yes. Ah, okay. Yeah, cool. You are the blogger?

Yes, I’m blogger. – What’s your name? My name is Dale. Oh, Dale? Okay. – Yes. From Scotland. Oh, Scotland. – Yes. We have another one I met, is from US. From US? What’s his name? – Jonathan. Jonathan? Ah, I don’t know anyone called Jonathan who is vlogging.

Hi from Scotland. Hello. – Hi, how are you? Okay. Nice to see you. Bye bye. – Yeah, bye bye. Oh, hello. Nice to see you again. Okay. – Ah, can I add you? You can add me, yes, Dale Philip. What’s your name? – Dale Philip. Okay, let’s pick up a subscriber. Dale Philip.

Okay, wait. There we go. Okay. – That’s good. Follow follow. So we actually got… Oh, yeah, nice to meet you. See you. Yeah, we actually got a Facebook follower. You want selfie with me? Only if you subscribe. Yeah, I subscribe you already. – Already? On YouTube or Facebook? – Facebook.

Okay, now you must subscribe on YouTube. First subscribe on YouTube, then I will take the selfie with you. You! – You got YouTube, right? Yeah, yeah. – Okay, so subscribe. That’s it. You don’t get the selfie for free. You gotta subscribe. 6 million, right? 6 million subscribers. – Yes.

On Facebook. – On Facebook, yeah. No, like 6.5 million. Don’t downplay me. More like 6.5 million. You, I follow on YouTube first. You want me to blog here? Yes, sir, yes. What is it? Is it food or clothes? – Some snacks. I think this is the second time you’re here, right?

Yeah, I was here before. You know, yeah? Yeah, you upstairs. Yeah, with Aling Berna. – Ah. But she’s not here, she’s not here. She go away, Aling Berna. Yeah, I was looking for her. So sad, she just disappeared. July you come here, right?

I saw your blog here. – Yeah, it was a while ago. Dale Philip, huh? This one. – Yeah, subscribe. Already. – Okay, she clicked the subscribe button. Okay, subscribe. Okay, now you can take a selfie. Okay, sure. – Now you have permission to take a selfie. That one the condition. – Okay, yes.

Good. Okay. Nice one. – Oh, thank you. Okay. – Pleased to meet you. I already follow you. – You follow me? Okay, on Facebook. Yeah. – Okay, good. So this is the same shop? It’s food and the clothes? – Yes. Ah, okay, it’s just snacks. – Yeah. This is Turon? – Yes.

Ah, okay. That’s what I was eating from Aling Berna before, the Turon. – Yeah. And what are these ones? Karioka. Karioka, what is it? Ah, glutinous rice. What with rice? Sticky rice. Like a sticky rice. – Oh, sticky rice. Only rice? Yeah, yeah, yeah. – Maybe like…

Is it like… – We put sugar. Rice and sugar. Is it like Tteokbokki, or something, or? – Nothing. Not like Tteokbokki. Oh, it’s a sweet thing? – It’s sugar and rice. Yeah. Ah, okay. Hi. Do you come to ???? – They seen your video last time. – Yes, Philippines.

Oh, you saw me in… – Yeah. Okay. – You see, in July. Yeah, July, yeah. 10th of July, yeah, I remember this. Rose, Rose, that’s Rose. Ah. – You know Rose? I know but I don’t know where is he now. Ah, okay. Not working? A lot of people are moving. – I dunno.

Yeah, ah, okay. So, yes. She saw the video in, July, I think it was that I posted it. The, the Facebook video when I was here before. – Did you come to Philippines once? Yeah, I came, I went to Baguio. And Manila and Cebu and Bohol. Yeah, many places. Where are you from?

Philippines. Where in the Philippines? From Manila. Manila? Ah, okay. What part of Manila? Quezon, Makati, Malate? Makati or…? – Makati. Makati. Oh, he’s from Makati? – Yeah. Oh, rich. He has a lot of money. – Yeah. You must have a lot of money. You must be a rich boy. Okay.

We met a rich Filipino boy from Makati. That’s where I was staying the first time and it was expensive. Like the hotels were expensive there. Okay, I’m thinking about getting some snacks. I’m on a full stomach here, but, like, this looks appealing. It’s all covered in this, like, toffee stuff.

Oh, and that is just banana. Banana, bananacue. Yeah. – Oh, bananacue. Oh, I seen this before, on the streets, bananacue. And it’s just like grilled banana, right? – Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ah, okay. – This one, it’s fried. Fried? Like deep fried or like shallow? Deep fried? Ah, okay. So it’s crispy? Hmm.

That so, uh? Okay, I gotta try it, this bananacue. I think this is a popular one, because I saw in Manila, many people in the streets selling this one. How much is one stick? – 3 ringgit. Only 3 ringgit? Yeah. – Ah, okay, that’s good. Only 3 ringgit for stick.

Okay, I’m gonna – You can try. try this bananacue. Check it out, guys. Okay. I will give you 3 ringgits and I will take a stick. Okay, so I just grab any one, right? Okay, let’s… What is the best one? I’ll look. This one looks good. It’s… Oh, it’s so sticky. Okay.

Ah, right. Let’s see. I dunno what to expect. Oh. It’s so soft. I was expecting it was gonna be crispy or something like that. It’s just soft. This crispy one is Turon. – Oh. Oh. Yeah. – Turon is the crispy one. Yeah, Turon is the crispy one. I’ve had that before.

Two times, I’ve had that. I’ve had it here at Aling Berna and I had in Manila on the streets. But I never had the bananacue, even though I seen it. Oh. So the banana, I think it’s covered in some sort of flour or something, right? What, you cover the banana with what?

Before cooking? Only banana and oil. Only banana and oil, really? It’s got this texture like it’s… Fried first, then after that you, what, you sticky the sugar and then you put the banana. Ah, like that. So you… Bananas are fried, and then in the sugar syrup? Yeah, yeah. – Ah, okay.

Trying not to, like, drip it on the floor. Especially, he’s got a clothes shop. I don’t wanna get it over his clothes. Oh, wow, you guys sell everything. Shampoo… – Yeah. Everything. All sorts of things. And shoes. Wow. Look at the prices, guys. Are they only 2 ringgits? – Yes.

Really? – It’s ukay-ukay. 2 ringgits? – Yeah, ukay-ukay like Filipina, Philippines. Yeah? – You have been to Philippines. Yeah, I’ve been to Philippines. – Yeah, like ukay-ukay. For girls, right? – Yeah. Yeah. Or for, like… – Men can. Yeah, for boys who act like girls, I think can also wear them.

Wow, 2 ringgits, guys. That is like… How much is 2 ringgits? It’s like $0.40 USD or something like that. That’s incredible, 2 ringgits. And here, like everything is cheap. Like 10 ringgits, that’s like $2 USD. And how much are the shoes? Around 45 ringgit. How much? – 45. 45 ringgits?

Oh, guys, that’s like $9, like just about $10 for a pair of shoes. Ah, okay. Cool. You got Nike and Adidas and I see Louis Vuitton over there as well. Yeah. NY. Mmm. Oh, wow. The texture, the texture is really interesting, guys. It’s like,

Yeah, at first I thought it was like battered or something like that. I’d got that kinda like soft mushy texture to it. Mmm. Hello. Your son? – No. No, just a random boy? Who come to say hello. – Nephew. Nephew, ah. – Yeah.

So a lot of your family working in Kota Raya? – Yes. Ah, okay. Also your family? Yeah. Really? Ah, big family. – Yes. And you’re from Iloilo, right? She says it’s the city of love in the Philippines. – Yeah. So if you travel to Iloilo, maybe you will

Leave with a Filipina wife or something. Possible, right? Yeah. – The city of love. Oh, wow. You sell everything. Fresh fruit as well. Just so many random things. $10 pairs of shoes, guys. Check it out. They’ve got like Louis Vuitton and stuff there. They’ve got Louis Vuitton Nikes right there.

I need to check them out. I’m being careful not to drip this all over… I’ll finish it now, so I don’t make a mess. But, yeah, I don’t want to drip it all over his clothes. Yeah, guys, they’ve got Louis Vuitton Air Force 1’s. Nike Air Force 1

Louis Vuittons right there. what do you think? Pretty cool. Pretty cool. Okay, guys, nice to see you. Okay, thank you. See you next time. I’m coming back here on Sunday. – Okay, bye bye. Yeah. – So I’ll see you again. See you next time. Bye bye. – Dave. Dale. – Dale.

Oh, you called me Dave. A lot of people… A lot of people call me Dave in the comments for some reason. I thought it was always like the spell check was doing that. They type in “Dale” and then the spell check just makes it “Dave.” I get that a lot.

I’m your biggest fan, Dave. Dale Philip. How can you be my biggest fan if you don’t know my name? That’s usually my standard reply to that. Dave. Okay. Okay, guys, so my hotel is about 25 minutes drive from this Kompleks Kota Raya.

I don’t feel like sitting in the back of a taxi right now with a full stomach. I’m gonna go for a little wander around. So the last time I came to this Filipino mall, unofficial Filipino mall, I think it just started off as like a normal mall and is now overrun with

Filipino restaurants, salons bakery, sari-sari stores, etc. The last time I came here, it was by… Well, it was unplanned. I was actually… I was actually down in Petaling Street, the Chinatown. Hello! I was actually down in the Chinatown, down there and it started raining.

And I was looking for somewhere to escape the rain. And that was the nearest mall, right there. So, yeah, I know that we’re near Petaling Street. I think I’m just gonna take a wander down there. Maybe get some Chinese snacks or something to take back to my hotel. Something like that.

But all I know is, right now, guys, I just need to, I need to go, I need to go for a little walk around. Just, yeah, I always feel like that after a heavy meal. A wee walk around. Those guys. drinking some sort of like fresh lime juice or something like that.

There’s all sorts of people drinking fresh cold juices, guys, that’s what I’m after, right now. Maybe from here. Hmm. Mango smoothie, strawberry smoothie, I dunno, I don’t think I want like a, I don’t think I want like a thick shake, a thick fruit shake or anything like that. Maybe some sugarcane.

That looks nice and clean, actually. Are you making the sugarcane? Jus sugarcane? – Yes. Ah, okay. You making fresh? This is the… – Oh, this is the sugarcane machine, here. Oh, okay, good. Eh, can I have one with no ice? Ice or no ice? – No ice, please. Okay.

So you pay more if you have no ice, because they need more juice to fill the glass. Like that. But look at that, the sugarcane’s all nice and clean, compared to when I was in India and Pakistan, they just had the sugarcane lying on the ground in big piles and stuff like that.

It all looks nice and clean. There. – Ah, okay, good. This sieve here is like filtering out all the little bits. Okay, look, you see, it is nice and clean. There we go, right there. Full glass. It is just 5 ringgit. $1 USD. Malaysia Ringgit. – Malaysian Ringgit, yes.

It’s equivalent to like $1, right? Okay, it’s good. Thank you auntie. Thank you so much. – Okay, thank you. Cheers. – Okay. Okay, let’s have a taste of the sugarcane juice. Oh wow, it’s not too sweet at all. Oh, wow. Compared to… Wow, it’s very mildly sweet. Compared to the sugarcane…

I’ve only really had sugarcane in India and Pakistan. And this is way less sweet. The one in India was like intensely sweet. This is like, yeah, this is barely sweet. Tastes healthier, I guess. It tastes less naughty, or whatever. I dunno if it’s an actual different, like,

Maybe it’s an actual different, like, breed. Like a different variety of sugarcane that they have here in Malaysia, that grows here. I dunno. But, yeah, a nice healthy sugarcane juice. Freshly, freshly squeezed as well. So this is a market street here. There’s lots of knockoff football shirts there.

But generally they have… Oh, they have the, I think that’s Inter Miami. Leo Messi, number 10. Yeah, they have like the big, big teams. Like the Argentina, Liverpool, etc. I know you on TikTok. Really? What’s my name? I know you. I watch you all the time.

No, you don’t know my name, you don’t know me. No, I follow you on TikTok. You go to around the world. Yeah, what is my name? Can you give me your TikTok name? But I follow you. No because you’re joking with me. You just joking. You just see that I got a camera.

No. – You joking. He’s joking with me. Yeah. – I’m not joking. I know you on TikTok. Really, uh? – Forgot your name. No, he don’t know me, he don’t know me. So that I have to know your name to know you? Yeah, you have to know my name to know me,

Because if you don’t know my name you don’t know me. That’s how it works. Is that your, for TikTok? No, for YouTube. – Oh, for YouTube. And then maybe Facebook and maybe TikTok, like that. Nice. How many days here. – Yeah, but always… Always, I got for YouTube first and then… -TikTok?

Yeah, Facebook and TikTok. How many days left here? Just a few more days. You living here or you…? – I’m raised here. I just went back from Tokyo, Japan. Really, uh? – I also a traveller. Oh, really? And… – I also YouTube. Yeah. – Also do YouTube?

Oh, you made a vlog in Tokyo or not? – Yeah. Really, uh? – Yeah. How is it to make a vlog there? Because people, they are not speaking English, right? Of course, they are so bad at English. Yeah, so how do you talk to people in your vlog? I learned basic Japanese.

To be honest, you have to learn basic Japanese. So you learned Japanese before you went? – Yeah. First time or no? Yeah, my first time. Ah, using translation app on your phone? Ah, mostly. Ah. – But, I just, the basic one. ???? and ???? Ah. Yeah. – And then ???? The basic thing,

The most important thing, learn how to order food, then you will not starve. Okay, that’s what to do. You learn how to order the food. That’s what I did when I went to Indonesia, because the same in Indonesia, not many people are speaking English.

So I learned some Indonesia before I went to travel there. Indonesian, they are not so good, also, in English. But Malaysians are good in English. Yeah. – Because we learn second language, is English. Yeah, but in Indonesia they have Bahasa Indonesia and then they have their regional language, you know?

Like they have like Bahasa… Bahasa, whatever, I don’t know, like Sulawesi or something, Bahasa Sulawesi or… Alright, I want to ask you something. – Yeah, Bahasa Java. I want to ask you something. How many countries you have travel? – Yeah? In my life or in my vlogs? – In your life.

In my life, maybe like 60 or something. 60 already? – Yeah. And you? 8. Hmm. Around Asia or? – Around the world. Okay. – Also, I go to Saudi Arabia. You went to Saudi Arabia? Ah, okay, yeah. – And Pakistan. You went to Pakistan as well? You go to Karachi? – Yeah, Karachi.

You go to Clifton Beach? No, I don’t. You take a horse ride? No? – Horse ride is scam. Yeah, it’s a scam, really. You don’t have to tell me. I know that for sure. I got to go. Okay, nice to see you, bro.

Okay, good luck with your vlogs. – When you will upload this? Eh, I don’t know. We’ll see. When I have time. Alright, brother. – Okay? Okay. – See you at TikTok. Okay, nice to see you. Okay. That’s cool. Yeah, so, this market area, it’s just like… Hi, how are you?

Ah, no, it’s for ladies. Not for men. For ladies. What does he have? – Hello. Ah, okay. That’s for men. The shoes are for men. – Yes, for men. Ah, okay. – Come and see. Ah. – Nikes and Yeezy. But I don’t see any prices. Where are the prices? Price is very low.

Oh, it’s negotiable? We bargain with each other and then you give me a low price, like that? You see. – Is that how it works? Is that how it works? That’s how it works. Which one you like? – If I don’t see any price then the price is whatever I think it is.

Yeah. I dunno. – Very low price. Yeah, so what are the brands. You got Nike. – Yeah, Nike. Oh, that’s cool, yeah. Nike. What is this? Oh, this Otsuka Tiger? Yes, Onitsuka Tiger. – Onitsuka Tiger, yeah, I’ve seen that brand before. And New Balance. – I’ve never had a pair.

New Balance. – Yes, Lacoste. Lacoste, yeah, with the crocodile. Ah, crocodile. – Ah, okay. Has the Gucci. Yeah, oh, the Gucci shoes. Is this Gucci here? Ah, okay. Interesting. Ah. So how much do you sell these for then? This for 95. 95, oh. – Yes, ringgit. Yes, starting price.

Yeah, but what’s the best price? What’s the last price? – 70 ringgit. No, I don’t think so. I’ve just been to Kota Raya. I see how much they were selling for in Kota Raya. But this is the good quality one. – Ah, but they have good quality ones there.

Yeah, 30 ringgits, 35 ringgits. 50, like this. Vans. – Oh, you have lower ones here? Yeah. – Oh, like the Vans shoes, yeah. The Vans shoes is starting price 40 ringgit. Oh and the same with the Nike and these Adidas ones? – Yes. They is 50 ringgit. Oh, 50 ringgit? Ah, okay.

And this your highest? – Yes, highest. Highest one, ah, okay. You can’t do these for like 40, 45? No? No? I think you can give me a good price, brother. ???? So what is the last? Like, the absolute best price that you give to someone? Then maybe I’ll think about it.

Okay, you come again, you finish this video. – Yes? You come again, a good price. Oh, you don’t want to say on the video? Because then other people, they want to get the good price as well? -Yes. Ah, you want, it need to be a secret? – Yes. Okay, so… Okay, hang on.

I’m gonna turn off the video just now, and then ask them for the best price, and then we’re gonna keep it a secret, and then we’ll see if I want to buy it or not. Okay. So guys, we actually had a hilarious bargaining session there. I wish I caught that on film.

But, yeah. Chancer. Like, I told him I know what the prices are in the Kompleks Kota Raya for those kinds of shoes, and he’s just not taking it. He’s like… What did he ask for, for those Onitsuka Tiger ones? 90 or something. So he said 70 before I turned the camera off,

And then I thought I was gonna get the better price when I turned the camera off, and he asked for 90. So the price actually went up, it didn’t go down, guys. I thought he was gonna give me like a secret price. But, yeah, he was asking for 90 for those ones.

Yeah, you’re never gonna get a good deal at this Petaling area. It’s just like basically a big, big tourist market. You’re better off going to somewhere like the Kompleks Kota Raya, Everything’s fixed price. You don’t have to bargain, and everything’s super cheap. You’re just already getting it at the lowest possible price,

If you go somewhere like that. I think most tourists don’t find themselves in there. They just kinda traipse around this area right here, which is very nice. Oh, I’ve not seen that before, this temple. Sri Maha Mariamman Temple. Huh. Definitely a Hindu temple. Look at it. It’s pristine. So clean. So

Freshly painted. It looks like it could have just been painted yesterday. Check it out, guys. It reminds me of the temples that I was seeing in places like Madurai in Tamil Nadu. There was one, it was much bigger than this, though. But this one, like I said, it looks fresh.

It looks like it was built and painted yesterday. Incredible. Wow. And I see this building a lot, guys. This building right here. Look at the size of it. Looks like a giant walkie-talkie, with that antenna sticking out of it, right there. You see that from pretty much anywhere,

When you’re driving around or walking around this area. It’s just like a massive, massive. landmark. – I know you from TikTok. Check it out. Hello, hello. You’re from TikTok, right? – From TikTok, yeah. Okay. Another kid. Another kid recognising me from TikTok. But, yeah, I guess that’s an office building.

It can’t be condominiums. There’s no, like… You can usually tell by the windows. When it’s just like these flat windows. It’s usually an office building. If there’s, like, little balconies, then it would be a condominium. And I am now on the main street in this area, guys. Jalan Petaling. Petaling Street.

Loads. Loads of football jerseys. I actually bought one the last time I was here. A nice Johor, a nice Johor Jersey. More knock-off shoes, right there. Never with any prices. Never see prices on them, guys. Hello, how are you? Hi. – I’m fine. Okay. More Filipinos. They look like Filipinos.

I think they’re Filipinos. Yeah, no prices. Like I said, you’re gonna have to bargain hard to get a good deal and you’re never gonna get a… Even the lowest price they’re willing to sell it to you, you’re still gonna be overpaying. So,

I would say this is a nice place to have a look around, but find yourself into one of the locals, the locals markets if you actually want to buy stuff like that, guys. If you actually want to buy a Gucci wallet or purse, or something like that. A knock-off watch. Yeah. Hi, brother.

Hi, how are you? Good. From the Facebook. Facebook, okay. – You’re very famous bro. I’m famous, uh? Ah. – Really? What is my name? Oh, I can’t be… What is that? – Facebook. Yeah, my name is Facebook. Okay, Mr Facebook right here. – Yeah. Okay. Okay, nice to see you.

I always follow you on the Facebook. – You from the Philippines? No, my wife from Philippines. – Oh, really? Oh, well done. Congratulations. Hey, bro, I saw you… – Congratulations. I am always see your blogs here in Facebook. Ah, really, on Facebook? Ah, okay.

See you go to Sri Lanka. You go so many places. Yeah. And where you from? I’m a Malaysian. I’m a taxi driver. – Okay. Okay, and your wife, you met her in the Philippines or you met her here? – In here.

Oh, so she came here and then you met her? – Yes, yes. Ah, okay, well done. You went to Bangladesh also, right? No, I haven’t been to Bangladesh. No. – Yes, yes. You confuse me with another guys. – Do you know the, the man that with the hair one?

No. No. – The old man, that tried to scammed you. Not me. Another guy. Not me. I’ve never been to Bangladesh. Pakistan… – But I’ve seen like that. Yeah, no, another person. Another white man with a camera. Not me. Another man. Maybe the Australian guy. That got viral in Bangladesh. – Yeah.

The whole of Bangladesh. – That’s the Australian guy. Me, I’m from Scotland. – Yeah, yeah. A different guy, a different guy. – What’s your name in TikTok, brother? Uh? – I saw you. Dale Philip, Dale Philip. – Yeah, Dale Philip. Yeah, no problem. Yeah, yeah.

Where is a good place to buy the egg tarts? You know the egg tarts? – Go to Times Square. Times Square downstairs, ground floor, are selling egg tarts. – Yeah? Oh, Times Square. – Times Square Mall. Berjaya Times Square. Walking distance? – No, from here, about 2 kilometre. Ah, okay. – In the…

Hey, bro, I want to take a picture with you. – Ah, okay. I want to put in TikTok. – Okay, I need… I’m on the hunt for some egg tarts, guys, to take back to my hotel. Right, okay. I see them around all the time, but when, now that I’m,

Now that I’m looking for them, I don’t see them anywhere. I think it’s like a Chinese thing as well. I was eating them a lot in Macau. I was eating them a lot in Macau. I think they’re actually different to the Chinese egg tarts. The Macau ones were like…

The Macau ones were like Portuguese, they’re like slightly different, but that’s what I’m… Okay, nice to see you. – Thank you, so much. Okay. – Nice to meet you. You go to Times Square, sir, down on the ground floor. Yeah? – Next to Nandos, You see, they’ve got, there’s so many tarts

Very nice there. – Oh, really, that’s like a specialist place for it? Ah, okay. No, because they are specially selling there, tarts. Yeah, but they don’t have any in this Chinatown, now? No, no, no have. – Oh, they have, but not the good one? Yeah, not good one.

I’m not really sure about here, but… – Yeah? But you know for sure at Times Square? – Yes. Okay. First, I will have a look around here, if I don’t find, then I will make my way to Times Square, ground floor, next to the Nandos. Thank you so much for the advice.

Thank you. Okay, see you. Okay, cool. I got a backup plan, a backup plan if I don’t find my egg tarts here, guys. Maybe if I just type “egg tarts” into Google Maps, it will find me a place. Let me see. Stand in the shade. Oh, look at this, freshly pressed pomegranate juice.

I’d be up for some of that. Okay, I have found a place, ‘Mon Kee Confectionery’ it’s called. 3 minutes walk and 210 metres. I dunno if I can survive walking 210 metres in this. It’s roasting. It’s roasting. I’m already thirsty. I just had the sugarcane juice. This guy here’s got pomegranate juice.

You’re the pomegranate juice man? – Yes. Ah, okay, fresh? Fresh. – Oh, yeah, they’re actually squeezing it by hand. Yes. – Ah, okay. How much is the pomegranate juice? For 100% pure, no water mixed, Yeah? – normal size, 15, the big one, 20. Ah, okay. This is the bottles for it?

Yes. It’s 100% pure. – Ah, okay. 100% pure? Ah, okay. How many pomegranates are in one glass like this? It’s around 3 to 4. 3 to 4 pomegranates in one bottle? Ah, okay. Okay, I will have one, the big one. Okay. – Yeah, the, this one, 20 ringgits. – Okay.

Pomegranate is good for health. Yeah, it’s good for being strong, right? Yeah, it’s good for like diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure. Ah, but I heard it’s good for like fertility. Yeah, some people, they think it’s good for fertility because it has a lot of seed. Like see here, lots of seeds.

Yeah, so they think that it’s related to that kind of strength. You know? So, that’s good. Okay, good. And no electricity machines, just by his hands. – Yes. By his muscles. Okay, good. Lovely. Okay, good. 20 for you and pomegranate juice for me. Okay. – Thank you. Thank you so much, brother.

Thank you. See you next time. Okay, I got a healthy drink to drink while I walk down the road and look for my egg tarts. That’s what I’m on the hunt for, guys. I’ve got, I’ve got the directions from Google Maps. This way, that way, that way. We’re gonna do it.

And I just crossed the road, to get back in the shade. That’s much better. Much better when you’re in the shade and much better when you have a nice fresh drink, Ah! to consume, while you walk the streets, guys. Lovely jubbly. Ah! Making short work of this.

Right, I think it should be on the corner. This place, it’s called ‘Mon Kee.’ Guys. Not raining, not raining. – Oh, right. Not raining, look. – Yeah, yes. You’re a YouTube? – Yeah. So this place, Mon Kee, I think it’s… It should be here. It’s here on Google Maps, anyway.

In fact, it should be like right here on Google Maps. Oh, here it is, Mon Kee Confectionery. It’s closed! It’s closed! This is, this is where I’ve just walked in the baking sun to come and get the egg tarts. I came to get egg tarts from here but it’s closed already.

Yeah. – Oh. Yeah, unfortunate. Okay, well that guy did give me a Plan B, that the Times Square, which is a mall, they have it. Surely I can get egg tarts here in the Chinatown. Surely I don’t have to go away 2 kilometres to find some. They’ve got little snacks. Hello, Auntie.

Do you know where I can get the egg tarts? Huh? – Egg tarts. Egg tarts. I was gonna go to Mon Kee, but it’s closed. This shop, the yellow side, you can see, Bee Cheng Hiang. The DHL? – No, no, no, there, there, there. Oh, Bee Cheng Hiang? – Next shop. Next one?

Okay, thank you so much. Thank you. Okay, good. We got a… We don’t have to go 2 kilometres away. There’s one right here, guys. Ah, this one is the jerky. The preserved pork. So, I think she said this one here. Is this a bakery or what? Let’s have a look.

I think this is the door. Oh, yeah, it’s a bakery. Oh, and it’s nice and cold as well. Oh. They got some good air conditioning in here. And… Oh, they have it. That’s the egg tarts right there. They’ve got two of them. I’ll take both. They’re only 3.50 each, about 70 cents.

Hello auntie, can I have the two egg tarts please? Take away? – To take away, yeah. I’ll take them away. Look at what else they’ve got here. These little pastries. Hmm. Okay, thank you so much. Thank you. Right, so, the plan is, I’m gonna take these back to my hotel and try them.

I’m on a full stomach right now, so I want to try them when I can appreciate them the best, on a bit more of an empty stomach. Hi, how are you. Hi, how are you guys? What is this for? Oh, no, it’s school logo. Oh, school logo, not a team? Okay, your school.

But you’re playing sport? – Yeah, yeah. Oh, you’re just playing sport in your school. Ah, okay. – Yes. Where is your school? – Huh? Your school, where, in KL? Ah, yeah, my school up there. Ah, it’s up there, ah and today you are at school and now finished?

Yeah, just finished. – Ah, okay, and now it’s the weekend. Yeah. – Good, yeah, he’s happy because it’s Friday. – Yeah. He’s just finished school for the weekend. Okay. Nice to see you, bro. Nice to see you. – Same. Okay, so, I’m gonna… Oh, this is the salak here.

I still haven’t tried that yet, the salak. Yeah, I’m gonna get a Grab back to my hotel. And I’ll try these later. Sorry. Hi. How are you? Fine, thank you. Where are you from? – Italy. Italy? Ah, okay. Ciao. – Can I do a photo with you?

Okay, cool. – I know you on, eh, on the videos. – TikTok? Yeah. Yeah, Facebook. – Facebook? Facebook? Ah, okay. Oh, really? Ah, I didn’t… – Yeah, nice to meet you. I didn’t know anyone was watching from Italy. Yeah, I dunno. Maybe only me. I don’t know.

Ah, yeah, when I… – I know you. When I sort by the countries, it’s like UK, US, Australia, Canada. – Ah, no Italy? But no Italy, yeah. – Ah, because… Sometimes Netherlands, Norway… Maybe because I’m the lone… Yeah, only you. Yeah. After the photo, you get…

Oh, your friends and everyone? – All of them. You tag me, your friends will also watch. – Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, good. Yeah, sure, sure. – Can I take a picture with you? Oh, thank you, wait. Wow, it’s amazing. It’s my first travel by solo.

Oh, really? How are you managing with the language? You’re speaking good English, right? So you can, talk to people, but then sometimes… – Yeah, more or less. More of less, but here it’s very difficult. – Yeah, so… Yeah, because English is your second language and also their second language.

But you use English to communicate, right? Yeah, but for example, in south Thailand and north Thailand, they are, they don’t know a lot of English. Ah, okay, so you use a lot of pointing and things? Yeah, yeah, sign language. – Yeah, and I have a little book, a little book with some words.

In Thai? – In Thai. But, you know, Thai is a very tonal language, so you can say the same word in a different tone, and it means something different. So it’s… – Yeah, it’s very difficult. If you’re reading from a book, it doesn’t really tell you how to pronounce it.

Because they have rising tones, falling tones… Yeah, but it’s great. I like how they speak in that language, the tone. Ah, yeah. Yeah, it sounds beautiful. It sounds like they’re singing, when they’re speaking, yeah. – Yeah, it’s a chill language. Yeah, it’s nice. Yeah, but Malaysia’s good.

Need the cover because of rain. – Yeah. That’s it. Actually, I’m enjoying the rain, because, like, I’m I’m so hot, I need to cool down. The last person who I think to meet here. Ah, really? Ah, okay. – Yeah, yeah. The last one. – Cool.

I don’t know how we get here in the same… And just like that, I am now back in my hotel room, to enjoy these two wee egg tarts. I say “Just like that,” as if it was simple. I just came here. No, it started thunderstorming like crazy

It took ages for a Grab to pick me up, and then it took ages for that Grab to get me here, back to my hotel room because the roads were like rivers. I think it’s still actually… Well, the lightning and thunder has stopped, but it is still a wee bit rainy.

When I got back to my hotel, I couldn’t see anything at all out this hotel window. It was just completely grey. It was that heavy. That heavy. It’s still heavy. It’s just… Yeah, it was ultra, ultra heavy. like half an hour ago. But anyway, we’re back here now. We’re nice and comfortable and

Yeah, I’ve got a wee bit of an appetite again. I think I’m going to eat one of these. This is very dense. So I’ve had egg tarts before when I was in Macau. I was eating them all the time. They were called Portuguese egg tarts there. I think these are different.

I think these are like a thicker version of it. I think these might be like Chinese egg tarts, or just regular egg tarts. Let’s… Oh, yeah. Look at this. I know this is going to be good. Oh, it’s like a… You see the texture of the custard. It’s like a custard jelly.

So it’s not like a liquidy custard. It’s all flaky. Okay, I’m going to make a mess unless I just stuff it, stuff it in my gob, guys. Mmm. Mmm. Oh, yeah. Mmm. In fact, guys, I can’t resist. I can’t resist.

It’s like when you open a bag of crisps or something like that, isn’t it? You open a bag of M&M’s, a big bag of Maltesers. You’re going to finish it, aren’t you? A big bag of Doritos. You’re going to absolutely tan, you’re going to absolutely tan that bag. You just can’t…

Yeah, you’re not going to roll up, You’re not going to roll up your bag of Doritos and put it in the cupboard for another day, are you? Once it’s open, it’s open. And once this thing is open. Yeah, I’m putting this away. I’m putting it in my mouth. Mmm. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

It’s like a thick custard omelette in the centre. That’s what it’s like. Mmmmm. Anyway, guys, that’s me for today. I’m going to enjoy the rest of my Friday evening without you. I’m going to enjoy the whole of my Saturday without you. And then, on Sunday, we’re going to continue this vlog,

Back at Kota Raya Kompleks for some more Pinoy food. The buffet. The buffet that they said they have. Looking forward to it. And it’s a new day, guys. Sunday, and I’m back here at Kota Raya. Look how busy it is. It’s absolutely packed.

It’s so busy compared to when I was here two days ago. So, I’m coming back in here to enjoy some Filipino delicacies, guys. Let’s do it. Second floor, I believe. Hello. – Hi. Oh, wow. So busy. Today’s so busy. The complex. So many people. – ???? a lot of people.

Ah, okay. This is your buffet? You want Halo-halo? – Yeah, Halo-halo or buffet. You have buffet now, right? So, how much is the buffet? 10 RM. Only? – 15 with unlimited drinks. Oh, so it’s 10 but 15 if you want unlimited drinks? So every Sunday, we do have, like, the buffet.

We have the pork barbecue, chicken barbecue. We also have Pork Adobo. – Oh, this looks good. What’s this, sausage? – This one is Longanisa. It’s a local Filipino sausage. Made from pork? Ah, yes. This is made from pork. – Ah, okay. Same goes for this one. It’s Tocino. We call it sweet pork.

Oh, this dessert? Yeah. – This one, we call it, we call in Tagalog, sticky rice. Sticky rice? Ah, okay, that looks good. – Yeah. Okay, I’m gonna take some barbecue pork. Okay, let me reheat it for you. Oh, you just… Oh, okay. Gonna reheat everything?

Okay, if you hold the plate, I will put some stuff on. Yeah, okay. – So he’s gonna reheat everything for me. I’m gonna take this sausage. – Sausage. And the sweet pork. – Tocino. Okay. – Sweet pork looks good to me. Okay. – Oh, look at that. Looks like bacon, looks like bacon.

Exactly, it’s like a bacon one but this one doesn’t have any… Okay, that will do for now. Yeah. Awesome. You’re late. – Yeah, how am I late? She says 10 til 8 o’clock. Big crowds this morning. – Oh, in the morning? Yeah, because they come after church, right? Exactly. – Ah, okay.

Thank you. – There you go. Oh, it’s hot. Oh my God. He handed it to me… He’s holding the cold bit. Oh, that’s better. Okay. He’s holding the cold bit and he handed me the hot bit. I nearly burned my hand, right there. She just asked me if I’m eating it with rice.

No, if I eat with rice I will be full. So I never… I always avoid the rice. Okay, thank you. – Siomai? Ah, what is it, Siomai? – Yes. Okay, I’ll take the last piece of Siomai. It’s Chinese food, but Filipino people, they eat a lot of this, right? I see…

I see in The Philippines. – I know. Yeah. Okay. I’ll take the high table, here. Hello, Dale. Hello. Pleased to meet you. Fist bump. High five. Okay, good. What is your name? Say hello to Dale. – What is your name? Blogger. – Hello, how are you? What is your name? I’m ????

Hi, I am Dale. Pleased to meet you. Okay, good, good. Okay. I’m gonna… – Alright, enjoy your food. Okay, I will enjoy my food. Okay, barbecue pork. Oh, good. Fresh coconut. Thank you. – You are welcome. She just brought me a fresh coconut to drink. Yes. – Mmm.

Here’s the chili garlic. – Oh, thank you. So, got some chili garlic sauce for the Siomai. Coconut’s delicious, barbecue pork is tasty. It would have been better if I got it when it was freshly cooked. Obviously, I think they made a lot of this food at like 9 a.m., 10 a.m., so

A lot of it’s cold by now. I got the last of it. There was 3 pieces left of the Siomai. I got all of it. But, yeah, it’s obviously been like… It’s nice, it’s just, like, if you reheat food it’s never as good as when you cook it fresh, you know?

They’re laughing at me. It’s your video. – What’s that? Oh, they’re watching my video again. Embarrassing. Very slightly embarrassing, but they’ve got my video on, on the screen there. Okay, I’m getting in all sorts of a mess. There we go. Mmm. Oh, that’s yum. Next, the sausage.

Normally I’d use a knife and a fork to curve this up and eat it piece by piece but again, like, Filipino, they never give you a knife, so I’m stabbing the sausage and taking a big old bite. Oh. It’s soft. Oh, wow. Oh. It’s like a Chorizo. It’s like a Spanish,

Spanish kinda Chorizo sausage. Mmm. Mmm. They really enjoy your video. Yeah. Everyone watching, right? Ate (sisters), wave. Hello. Everyone watching me, while I make another video, right here. So, yeah, that, that sausage, Spanish style, which is no surprise because obviously The Philippines was a Spanish colony, so it’s no surprise to see

Spanish kinda influence in their food. Now this, sweet pork, they said. Oh. Oh, wow. It’s like, like a honey glaze or something like that. It’s very sweet. It’s like a candy version of pork. I like it. Mmm. Yeah. If you’ve ever had sweet and sour pork from a Chinese restaurant, it’s like,

It’s like sweet and sour pork, but without the sour. So, gives you an idea of the taste. Okay, now onto these Siomai dumplings. Definitely Chinese food, but very popular in the Philippines. Oh. I don’t know what’s inside them. I don’t know what the ingredients is. I’m just tasting all this.

I’ve just got the taste of this, but it’s stuffed with some kind of meat. Probably pork, again. Probably pork. ???? – Yeah, it was good. Look, you can tell it was good because I didn’t have any leftovers. Nothing. – I can tell. Only the stick. Only the stick. That’s all that’s left over.

Yeah. Now, I want to order some Halo-halo. Halo-halo, okay. – Yes. We’ll make you one. Fantastic, Halo-halo. – Awesome. Alright. – Okay, I’m looking forward to it. You try this, Embutido. What is it? – Embutido. Embutido? What is this? I dunno. It’s sweet or not sweet? No, no, it’s meat. It’s meat?

It has raisins and carrots. – Raisins? And capsicum. Raisins, carrots and capsicum. And it’s like a minced pork, like a luncheon meat. – Exactly. The luncheon meat, like Spam or something. – Yeah. Yeah, exactly. That’s the local Spam in The Philippines. Oh, yeah. How does it taste? – Yeah, good, yeah.

It is good. Very soft. Yes, it is. – It looks like big and hard, but it’s very soft. Yeah. Oh, wow, look at that. Oh, already. Oh, wow, the Halo-halo was so quick. Look at that, guys. Wow, check it out. So, this one the top, we’ve got the leche flan.

Leche Flan and then Ube ice cream. Ube halaya. Oh, it’s… Ube halaya, it’s not ice cream. – Oh, it’s halaya? Ah, okay. And at the bottom, jelly? And the orange? The orange is sweet potato. – Sweet potato. Sweet potatoes? – Yeah. Ah, okay. Banana. – Banana. Banana. And this red stuff?

And that’s also jelly. Jelly, ah, and this? That’s the leche flan. – Leche flan. Oh, more leche flan, the same as this? Ah, wow. And there’s milk getting used, or? – Yeah, yeah. Evaporated milk. Oh, evaporated milk. Oh, it’s gonna be super sweet, right? – I know. Okay, I better finish this first,

Because once I try that, I won’t want to eat the meat. You know. Enjoy your Halo-halo. – I will… Okay. I will lose my appetite for any savoury food real fast after trying this. So I’m just gonna munch this one really quickly. Sorry.

Hi, how are you? – Do you want to buy perfume? No, it’s okay. Okay? I don’t need anything. Thank you. Thank you, brother. Okay, guys. So, the last time I had Halo-halo, it was in a bowl. This is a bit more… I feel like I should start drinking it a bit, first.

Otherwise it’s all gonna spill over the sides. Mmm. Oh, yeah. Just tasting the evaporated milk and some of the melted ice. Okay. I’m just gonna have to dig into it, layer by layer, I think. There’s no way for me to really mix this up. The last time I had the Halo-halo,

They said I should “halo” the halo. And halo means mixing. She said “You must halo, you must halo.” “You must mix it up.” I don’t think there’s any way I can mix this up without making an absolute mess, guys. So, for now, layer by layer. Oh. That’s the leche flan there, very sweet.

The ube halala, I can’t remember what she called this, like halalalaya or something like that. Oh. It’s like a paste. It’s like an ube paste. Oh, wow. And the two of them together. Mmm. Oh, wow. Yeah, but it will go everywhere. It’s too tall. First I have to eat a little bit.

You have to mix it. – Yeah, but when I got it, it was too the top. So if I start doing like that, it will go everywhere. That’s why I was eating a little bit first. Okay. – Yeah. Okay, she’s halo-ing my Halo-halo. Yeah, you have to mix it up.

In Tagalog, halo is mixing, right? – Yes. Yes, okay. – That’s why it’s called Halo-halo. You have to mix it up. – Yeah. She’s halo-halo-ing my Halo-halo. Okay, very good. Thank you. Alright. – Okay, thank you so much. It’s very halo-ed. Yeah. – Thank you.

Please enjoy you Halo-halo. – Thank you, so much. Okay, guys. Very sweet. Nice. She just brought me some fruit. I don’t know what it is, but I will try it after the Halo-halo. ???? Do I bite into this or I peel open? You have to peel it. – I have to peel it?

Yeah. – Like this. What do you call it? Lanzones. Lancelot. Lanzones. – Lanzones? Ah. – It’s called Lanzones. Oh! – There you go. Looks a little bit like a rambutan inside. Yeah, exactly. It’s almost the same as rambutan. – It’s like, almost the same as rambutan?

The same. – Oh, but this one has segments like an orange. Yeah, but don’t eat the pip, because it’s bitter. Oh, wow. Yeah, it’s like a citrus. Yeah. – I wasn’t expecting that. But there’s seeds inside. They say you should spit out the seed. Okay, they warned me to spit the seeds out,

But, yeah, that’s cool. A lot easier to eat than a rambutan. The rambutan always gets, the meat gets stuck to the seed in the middle. This has the seeds inside each segment, like an orange. Guys, can we claim this is healthy? Because it’s got the sweet potatoes in it.

Can we claim that this is a healthy meal? I dunno. I’m claiming it. I’m claiming it as a healthy one, guys. I’m eating healthy. This is good. Every, every spoonful is like a different combination of flavours. Sometimes you get the ube taste, sometimes you get the leche flan taste.

Sometimes you get big chunks of sweet potato and it tastes a little bit healthy. That one didn’t taste healthy. That one tasted super sweet. Oh, wow. Amazing. Wow. Dale. Another friend of mine. Another friend. Hi, how are you? – He works for Meta. Yeah, I work for Meta. – He works for Meta.

Work for Meta? Oh. – Yeah. Moderator or no? No, he works for ads. For ads? Ah, okay. So if you’ve ever had one of your ads taken down, it’s because of him. – Subscribe, follow, follow. Subscribe and follow. Okay. You still working or before?

Of course, still working with Meta. – Still working? Ah, okay. So, yeah, if you’ve ever run ads on Meta, like on Facebook, and you’ve had a problem, maybe it was due to that guy. I dunno if he’s a moderator or not, or if he just like manages ad accounts,

But that guy works in the ad department. Still works in the ad department. That was good, guys. I enjoyed that. Okay, I’m finished. Belly is full. How was the Halo-halo? Oh, very good. Were you the one who made the Halo-halo? Who is better?

Which one is better, Aling Berna’s one or this one? – Ours. Your one is sweeter, but I think her one is healthier, so I dunno. What’s inside her Halo-halo? Oh, she… Sago and and banana. – This one, we don’t use Sago because we use this jelly. – Jelly, yeah, it’s much sweeter.

Yeah, but I think maybe her one is healthier but your one is tastier. Tastier? – Yeah. So… Yeah, I’m trying to be diplomatic. I’m trying to be diplomatic. She, basically she wants me to say that her one is the best. Right? So, then she will send the video to Aling Berna

And be like “haha.” Okay. 36. – 36, okay. That’s good. It’s good value. The buffet only like, the buffet’s only like 10, right? Exactly. – Okay. There you are. Okay, I don’t need change. You can put it in the tip jar. Thank you. – Okay, thank you very much. See you next time.

Thank you so much, guys. Thank you. See you next time. See you next time, Sandra. Okay. That was good. Feeling, feeling good now, guys. Look how busy this place is. This mall. That’s where I ate the bananacue last time. Hey. Hello, sir. – Right there. They don’t have any bananacue here.

Oh, in fact, that’s it there. That’s the bananacue. Yeah. Hello. – Hi. Okay, guys, that is me from Kompleks Kota Raya. The Filipino mall. The unofficial Filipino Mall. Hi, how are you? – Hello. I see you in the Facebook. – Okay, nice to see you. Okay. The unofficial Filipino mall, right there, where

I recommend you come if you wanna try some Filipino food. If you’ve never tried Filipino food before, that would be the place to do it. Authentic. Cheap prices. Not really a tourist place. Not on the tourist radar, I guess. I probably wouldn’t know about that place unless you just accidentally discovered it.

Like I did, the last time I was in KL. There’s nothing that would tell you that’s like a, a Filipino mall, or anything. It is very close to the famous Petaling Street. I think that’s the start of it, right there. Yeah, the Jalan Petaling, which is the Chinatown.

So we’re right in the Chinatown, actually. And that’s very much on the tourist radar. So all the tourists who are coming here, they probably just see that, and just think “Okay, that’s just a” a mall where they’re selling like second hand mobile phones and stuff. Which,

Is what it looks like when you just walk in. It just looks like any ordinary kinda mall where they’re not really selling anything that’s of interest to tourists. But once you explore a bit, you see the Filipino sari-saris. They’re selling the little snacks like Turon and bananacue and suchlike. And

Yeah, the Filipino restaurants. That’s the, the best thing about that place. You can get authentic Filipino food. So, yeah, guys, that is the vlog, for now. Well that is the vlog. That’s… For now, that’s me from KL and it might be the only vlog I do on this trip to KL.

It’s not really a trip. I’m just here on a stopover. I’m here for two more days, so I’m probably not gonna make another vlog here. I guess I’ll see you guys next time in another country.

I'm currently in KL so watching a few old vlogs to get some places to visit ideas. We've been to Petaling street but didn't know about the Filipino mall. I'll pay it a visit next week.

    4. A perfect example that you do not have to contain yourself from eating, to do not be fat. Just be sure to eat also fruits / vegetables + do not take the bus or go by a car everywhere.

    5. You went to the legendary Fung Wong bakery to get egg tarts? Facepalm… These are not even their signatures. You should have tried their signature pink and yellow wedding biscuits. Their flaky pastry are filled with sweet lotus paste or sweet red bean paste
